I'm here every 3/4 months for the past 5 years and have never had a bad experience (knock on wood) PSA: Saturday and Monday mornings are pretty busy

Had to get blood work done so as per the websites request to make things go quicker, I uploaded my…read morerequisition and 'checked in' online. This allows you to wait at home until closer to your time so you aren't crowding a waiting room. Wait time was 60 minutes so I waited 40 and made my way down only to be told once I got there that the check in doesn't work. So I had to wait in line for another 55 minutes. If you know it doesn't work then maybe take it off the website ‍. And then when I let the staff know I checked in before they told me it doesn't work the response I got was 'the check in doesn't work so if it's a problem come another day' which is sound advice for someone who doesn't have a full time job that they had to take time off of to come here.. 55 minutes later staff comes out with my uploaded form from their website only to be told they can't take it like that because the website seems to change it when they printed it. Luckily I was able to forward the email from my doctor directly to them otherwise I would have wasted over two hours of my day and half a days pay. They really should have one day dedicated walking and the rest of the week done by appointment. But to clarify, the staff were friendly, clearly frustrated with how busy it was but they were nice. And the service was as expected. I got the blood drawn. My issue is that the mother company tries to be online with checking in and uploading requisitions but there seems to be a lack of communication and organization when the online communicates with the actual centre. I did not need to waste over two hours of my day.

Was told that my doctor had not given me the correct paperwork. Had to call my doctor's office, only to find out that the paperwork I submitted was accurate (AFTER the lady on the desk checked with her colleagues). WTF. 2. I asked if I had to pay for the test. She said "no", then asked a colleague who said "yes". Okaaaaay. 3. I handed her my card, assumed she was swiping it (couldn't see beneath the counter top), she handed me back my card and said I needed to pay. WHAT. I thought I just did. No, that's done by someone else. 4. Constant, incessant interruptions by her colleagues left me waiting and waiting and waiting. Finally, I had enough and suggested she focus on completing my transaction to which I received a mouthful and to which I responded accordingly. They need to train their front-line staff AND they need an additional person on the front desk. All I wanted to do was hand in a specimen and it took waaaaaay longer than it should have with a lot of aggro. Go to another Dynacare if you can. This place is atypical of Dynacare's usual high standards.

However - EVERY time I have gone to Dynacare and had my blood taken by Cristina, the Lab Technician, whatever magic or needle sorcery she does - it's painless and over in seconds. And she has consistently taken it quickly and painlessly over the couple years I have gone, is always calm and pleasant, and puts me at ease telling me stories or jokes. Thank you Cristina for making my worst nightmare actually MORE than tolerable now : ) Lisa P

It shares a lobby with a physical rehab clinic (which I have been a patient of years ago) and a sleep clinic for those struggling with snoring/ insomnia and the like. With this convenient location now servicing most of the northern portion of York Region, no longer will you need to wait at local hospitals for your important diagnostic imaging. The provide imaging services in the following areas: NUCLEAR CARDIOLOGY, ULTRASOUND, DUPLEX COLOUR DOPPLER, X-RAY, BONE MINERAL DENSITOMETRY, MAMMOGRAPHY and ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY & CARDIAC MONITORING (ECG). Recently after months of delay i went for an ultrasound on my shoulder after feeling something not right during a fall when snowboarding. I was late for my appointment and concerned I had missed my chance. Luckily for me they asked me to wait a few minutes and did their best to fit me in ASAP. I ended up being seen 10 minutes later and was out the door within 5 more. Staff was super friendly and helpful. I think more state of the art clinics like this should exist to help bare the patient load at so many hospitals. Protip: you will need a requisition from you Dr first to be seen under OHIP

Tried booking an appointment for an ultra sound. Lead time was 5 weeks. Whatever it is will be either cured or have killed me. So much for their "short waiting times". People making the money should spend some and help staff handle the volumes. Try living up to your press.
