Andrew helped us with our master bathroom remodel in 2013 and I could not be happier with the results. He and his team were always at our house bright and early, and worked all day. They took extra care to make sure all dust and renovation materials were confined to the bathroom area, laying mats down on the carpets each day upon their arrival, and installing a plastic zip door to the bathroom entry. We never say a speck of dust in any other area of the house. Andrew prides himself on assuring proper sealant on tiled showers, and spent several days laying layer upon layer of sealant before adding the tile to our new shower. We haven't had a single problem since, and I am confident that we never will. He also took extra care to ensure a small, practically unnoticeable incline on the shower flooring to assure all the water drained consistently well. This has help up maintain the quality of the tile we chose, and not caused us any issues with our grout. We did have a small issue with our frameless glass door shifting due to the change in season several months after the renovation was completed, but Andrew organized to have it corrected the same week we called him, and at no charge to us. Andrew always took extra time to meet with us to select tile, granite, etc., offer suggestions and opinions, and kept the project on track. I was highly impressed with the quality of his work and would recommend him to anyone looking for a remodel job, be it small or large.

To give you an idea of the situation: imagine budgeting $16k for a project. You meet with them, they walk the site, review the plans, and enthusiastically agree to the price to "earn your business." However, two weeks after signing the contract and handing over a deposit, they suddenly claimed the project would now cost $29K. My key Issues: Bait-and-Switch Pricing: The final quote was more than double the original agreed-upon price with vague and VERY inconsistent reasoning. Vanishing Deposit: When I chose to cancel due to the massive price hike, they claimed my entire deposit had already been "used up" on excavation. Lack of Integrity: They committed to a budget just to get the signature, only to move the goalposts immediately after. We are currently pursuing legal action to address these practices. This company is simply not worth the stress or the financial risk. I met many reputable masonry and concrete companies during my bidding phase--I strongly suggest you look elsewhere, you've been warned.

NightHawk is withholding my money despite delivering plans that ignored key requirements. I've filed a formal dispute and may proceed with arbitration. After occurrences of no responses, i was hopeful to schedule an appointment. Days later after consistently attempting communication a time was schedule. The Nighthawk representative was contacted before the scheduled time to communicate a possible few minutes delay, due to an unforeseen work shift. The representative was unwilling to meet. I arrived two minutes 40 seconds past the time. I had to reschedule, minutes before the appointment the representative contacted me that they would be 30 minutes late. The representative never showed up. This is truly poor customer service!

Because of Darren, we do it every day! Darren refinished a ~30 year old hardwood floor that had yellowed, shown wear from traffic, had missing pieces of wood, and damage from chemical spills. From the very first time I reached out, his communication was excellent. He visited our home to see the floor, take measurements, and recommend and explain a refinishing process. Darren gave us options for type of polyurethane, colors, finish (matte vs. gloss) while offering recommendations from his many decades of experience. Within several hours we had a very fair quote and were booked several weeks out. Darren spent a few days on property and was incredibly respectful of our home and us when we would ask a question or two. He worked his magic to sand and protect our floor to a condition we would have never expected - just see for yourself. Brian was very easy to communicate with and took care of ordering all of the supplies. They came by the following week and completed the install as scheduled. They were very tidy using drop cloths on the carpet and cleaned up after themselves; unlike a lot of handymen/ contractors. Our staircase not only looks better, but is as solid as a rock and not all wobbly like it was before. The price was fair and I would highly recommend using them for staircase work or any other carpentry projects, such as molding or built-in's. I have uploaded a before and after pic to this review.

Well fast forward almost a year later and now there is a baby in the house that is ready to move. In my childproofing quest, I told my husband that now is the time to get the stair handrail fixed. He found The Finishing Company. We advised Brian why rods we would like and that our stairwell was loose. Brian said no problem. We got our stair handrail fixed and new rods added in less than five hours. It is such an improvement. Brian is meticulous. He made sure to vacuum up dust every little step along the way. Now when I come home, I get to not only see a beautifully staircase but I feel a great piece of mind that the stair handrail is sturdy enough for once my baby is mobile.

He has great communication skills, always keeping up with us via email or text. He had two other men he worked with and they were fast and polite. As a woman, I've felt uncomfortable being alone with or I've been condescended to by other contractors. I never felt this way with Elias and his team. That's worth a lot to me. We hired Quality Construction to install drywall and insulation in our basement. It was done fast and they did a good job. He was accommodating when we had to have them break for an electrician to come in. It was done in about three days. One of the guys accidentally broke a lamp and Elias offered to reimburse us for it. He's a stand-up guy and he does a great job.
