Customer service-As an example this purchase is going to be picked up by our movers and transported to our new house out of state. Eric complete understands this process and was ready to help and ensure everything worked out smoothly. Another example since we are trying to match colors. Eric said bring in a drawer or shelf from your old furniture so we can 100% match things. 2. Selection-If you like mission style furniture this is the place. Huge selection and huge number of stains. 3. Quality-It is unsurpassed. No ifs ands or buts. 4. Sustainable-They have their own tree farm and provide wood to the craftsmen. 5. Price-We looked at buying similar furniture where we were moving. The cost was 2.5 times more. Even with moving it was a no brainer. Whether you are in state or out of state this is the place to go. My husband and I were looking to have the plaster in our spacious attic repaired. In our search of…read morepeople in the area who do lathe and plaster Mike was the only person we could find. He told us he had been doing this for more than 40 years so how could we go wrong? He gave us a quote for 3 days of work for $2400. He started right away and brought his brother Tom with. They put a drop cloth on the floor conning in the back door but did not cover the stairwell or the hallway (which are both hardwood as we live in a historical home from 1880). I went upstairs to talk to my husband and check on my cat because I hadn't seen him in a while. We keep all of the bedroom doors closed so he doesn't shed on the beds. One of the bedroom doors was opened and I found my cat locked in another bedroom. Then I saw the white footprints in the doorway of our bedroom and in the hallway leading to the bedrooms! One of them decided to give a self guided tour of our home! After they left the first day I noticed my shower curtain was left open so when I went to close it I noticed huge chunks of plaster in my shower and a white hand print on my toilet bowl. The stairwell and hallway were covered with white from them tracking in as they went in and out. It is winter time so it was a white muddy mess from the plaster/snow mix. They worked 7 hrs this first day. They came back the second day and brought a lady with them. After seeing the tracks to our bedroom my gut was telling me something was off. They spent 1 hour this day and were done. Mike took us into the attic and standing there it looked great since the 3 inch holes were covered. Mike told us to sand down some of the patch work and then take dishsoap and water and wash the walls 4 times. My husband asked him if he would reduce his fee since he quoted us for 3 days of labor and only worked 8 hours. He would not so we paid him the $2400 (which breaks down to $342/hr or $171/person/hour). After they left thier attempt to clean the floors was smearing the plaster with a wet rag. I had to mop the floors upstairs and down and the stairwell. They slopped all over my bathroom cabinets and my back door. So the next two days my husband spent repairing cracks and holes in the plaster that Mike did not do, sanding that Mike did not do, and washing walls that Mike did not do. For the amount of money we paid him we should have had to do nothing but start painting! We got his info from the Menards lumber desk and asked them to pull his cards. After the manager called him my husband called him. He offered to come fix it but we already did the work and I don't want them back in my home. He then proceed to scream and yell at my husband, dropped the F-bomb repeatedly, called me an old lady (which I am not), and told us to take him to court and he would make us both look like a 2 cent stamp! We have reported him to the BBB. Do not let these people in your home or have them do any work for you! I am giving them 1 star only because Yelp requires me to do so.

Please look no further than Justin Kubat, of Kubat Exteriors, LLC. for your remodeling and construction needs. I can only speak to a deck build specifically, but have heard enough word-of-mouth stories about how exceptional he is with just about any exterior AND interior (kitchen, bathroom, remodel) need you have. I could probably write a book about how our deck job turned into a bit of a nightmare but how Justin went so far above and beyond that words won't even do justice to how pleased we are with him as our contractor, and with the final product. You will not meet another professional who is more meticulous, more of a perfectionist, more of an advocate for you, than Justin. The nightmare of this job was almost entirely due to the deck supplier - an appropriately scathing review for them will be coming soon. Long story short, the deck store was so incredibly unorganized, the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing, constant lying, back pedaling, improper materials supplied, and on and on. A job that should have taken 2 weeks, took 6+ weeks. But enough about that terrible place, we're talking about Kubat Exteriors. Almost daily, Justin had to fight for us, for the product we ordered, for the design we picked, losing precious time and money from being able to move on to his next projects. But through it all, we never felt like we were put on the back burner while waiting on materials (again, only due to the unbelievable incompetence of the deck supply store). I could go on and on about the service, professionalism and friendliness of Justin. As for the final product, look at the pictures and see for youself. Just like these words, the pictures do not do justice to what it looks like in person, knowing the painstaking amount of time he put into this project. Even though Justin probably never wants to see our house again for how much of a headache this job was, he will be our first call when we have other construction and remodeling needs.
