But because I travel there with my daughter, we make a day of it. We have been traveling to Alabama for our tattoos since 2017. The tattoo artists that are at Abro are personable and amazing! It's definitely not what I expected. The line work is supposed to show sharp points but some have a blunt edge and THEN a sharp point. I don't know if that makes sense but it's definitely a mess up. My man was ON THE PHONE while tattooing me. He had his phone scrunched up to his ear with his shoulder. It just doesn't fee professional, like maybe if you focused my tattoo would have came out better? So it looks absoLUTELY stupid. I'm definitely gonna have to get it redone. The vibe was pretty awful, the artist I had... was just reclusive and not very good at communication. Which is a NO NO with tattoo artists. I thought the price was good for a 6" inch tattoo but now that I look at it, it wasn't worth even HALF the price. It's been a while since I've had a new tattoo, so I wasn't sure where to go. Jay Simonsen at House…read moreof Evans came highly recommended from a friend of mine so I contacted him through Facebook. He answered my questions and wanted to see what my fiance and I had in mind for a tattoo. I sent him the art we had chosen and he quickly found an open date on his calendar to see us both. Jay put the artwork together and did a really good job on it! It would seem that he is in high demand too as our appointment was a few months away. The day came for us to get our tatts and we were very excited! As we came inside it was very professional and clean. It smelled good and they had places for us to sit down and even look through each artists work samples if you choose to. There are specific directions on the wall as to signing a disclaimer about getting your tattoo. It's a liability waiver and various questions about allergies,etc. Once you've done that and checked in to your artist of choice they come and speak to you if you haven't already done the waiver they explain it to you. Jay was very friendly and considerate. He took my fiancé and I back to his work area and we met his wife, who was very friendly. I was very impressed at how clean everything was! Jay was very professional and explained everything to us. He went over the artwork with us and made sure everything was to our liking then got right to work. I was very impressed at how far the inking process has come! The process was quick and jays attention to detail is remarkable! In a very short time he was done with my tattoo and it was on to my fiancé. He quickly changed all of his equipment he used on me to brand new parts and he was ready for her. The process with her went so smoothly she almost fell asleep in his chair! Needless to say we were very pleased with the outcome and we we'll see Jay again in the future! He did a great job and that's extremely important considering what he does for a living! Thank you Jay!
