I popped in to get a latte (with a dash of lavender syrup) for my drive home. That's all I tried. The latte was good but could have been a bit hotter. I walked in around 1 PM and all the outdoor furniture was piled inside. I know it's cold outside, but it seemed odd they didn't have another place to store the stuff. Food and coffee are fine. In a town where there is not much of a food scene and definitely not a coffee scene we are just happy to have something but my god it's painfully slow. Like REALLLY painfully slow. So slow they would not last in any other decent sized town. Multiple times I call in 15 minutes ahead of time because I know how slow they are and when I arrive I still have to wait an additional 15 minutes and they are not busy. The place is huge with 3 rooms and tons of seating with tables & chairs, barstools, and comfy couches. There's also a nice outdoor area for relaxing. The rooms have large TVs, but also a stock of board games to play. The staff are fantastic! Courteous, fast, and friendly. Jared runs the place and he is amazing. He's created a great place to work as his employees all seem happy. His customer service is outstanding: the holiday parade was the next day and we were asking him for recommendations on places that had seating since I have a knee injury and use a cane. He immediately stepped up and offered to reserve 2 places out front of the shop for a perfect view. He made good and we had awesome seating with a table. Let's talk about the coffee. Very high quality beans here. We had a cold brew our first visit that was legit as hell. Potent and bold with no bitterness. Next morning we enjoyed a regular cup o Joe and it was perfection. First visit we tried the cinnamon coffee muffin and the lemon bar. Both were delicious. Next morning we split a grilled cheese breakfast waffle sandwich. Huge amount of food and so good. I cannot praise Lift enough. It's rare that a place nails it so well. We'll be back for sure. I predict more coffee dates here for me and my wife. read more

I went to Lift expecting so much more than I got. Since Lift is one of the only coffee shops in Tahlequah, I was hoping for something great. I ordered the avocado toast. What came out was a piece of bread (not toasted) with a very thin layer of avocado spread and a mini slice of lemon. No salt and pepper. Let's just say it looked like a sad piece of toast. They were making a bunch of fresh muffins that maybe I will try at some point in order to give this place a better review. read more

The ambience is great and very "college"/"business" friendly however the worst drinks at a coffee shop I've ever received. The smoothie taste like it was made with unripe fruit and bitter. The coffee tasted like water down espresso. Why can I only give five stars? If you are a coffee aficionado, then you must try lift. I remember my first time here. I ordered a cup of whatever was fresh. They don't have condiments, the bagel sandwich wouldn't have been so dry if I could've gotten some Mayo or something on it. I had heard lots of good things about this place, so maybe it was just a really off day? The people were very friendly. But, I ordered a waffle plate and a chai latte. The latte tasted like someone had just added warm milk to black tea. And it took 20 minutes to get it! There were only 2 other customers in the whole place! So this wasn't due to busy hours. Thankfully we weren't in a hurry, because we were catching up with an old friend. The waffle plate was really good and beautifully presented. However, my friend has a gluten allergy and ordered the gluten free waffles. After 15 minutes they came and said that they were having trouble with the gluten free batter and that they had trouble with it the week before too, and then they said they couldn't make them at that time. They offered to substitute that with eggs with turkey and veggies. They did apologize. They were not rude at all, but it did seem like they had not fully practiced all their recipes before. In fact, I think something about "still developing the menu" was said. My other friend's dirty chai had no flavor either. Great atmosphere, nice staff, terrible chai, and iffy on how established their offered menu items are. Perhaps in time they will work out the kinks? First off the customer service wasn't the best. I don't know if they were having a bad day or what but it definitely set the mood for the place. I ordered a Matcha latte and avocado toast. I sat down and got my toast and waited about 30 minutes as I was talking with my friend and realized that I never got my drink. I had to ask them two times to bring it out to me and once they did, the Matcha was not made properly -- there was about a half an inch of Matcha powder in the bottom of the cup. It was not drinkable and when I told them they remade it the same way.. The only thing that the place has going for it, is that the interior is nicely styled. I've been a regular customer at Lift for about a year, and the staff there know me and my order well enough that the only question will be "half caf or decaf today?" I love that they pay attention to and know their regulars. On Saturdays, I normally have a booth at the nearby Farmers Market and get a mocha and bagel to take to my booth. This past Saturday, I was set up at a show across town at the Community Building. I placed my normal order at Lift and took it to the show. On the way, I sipped some mocha, thought it tasted odd, but didn't really think about it. Once at the show, I took a good drink and realized it was a mocha hazelnut (I really hate hazelnut in my coffee). The bagel was also a hot mess and pretty much inedible. I emailed the store and told them that while they are normally spot on in everything, that today--not so much. I described the errors, told them I'd see them soon, and I went on about my business. A bit later after completing some sales, I looked up to see a Lift employee standing at my booth with a mocha and a sack with a cream cheese bagel. The store had seen my email, re-did my order, and brought it to me (and I'm pretty sure they went to the Farmers Market first when looking for me). I was floored and so grateful. I wasn't looking for a replacement. I had emailed because as a business owner, I want to know when things aren't working. I assumed they would want to know. That the Lift staff would take such measures to correct a problem speaks to their commitment to their customers. And my replacement order was absolutely perfect! read more

Had a different breakfast for sure - Avocado toast with cold, dry toast, a smear of avocado, real cold meat topped with a cold over fried egg - oh yeah and a piece of green. Absolutely fantastic! Coffee was great, we split one savory waffle and one sweet for dessert. Holy moly they were tasty. Highly recommend!
