Melissa did a complete evaluation and some adjustments on the first appt and at the 2nd appointment she turned her focus to my collarbones, though I never asked her to. Melissa was focusing on my collarbones, asking questions. I told her they were fine and to leave them alone. She then said that the right was not moving like the left. I told her to leave them alone. Melissa said that she could increase the movement on the right. I said, "Leave it alone." And with that Melissa pulled and my collarbone shifted. It's now years later and my collarbone hurts every day. I went back a week after the initial injury from her "adjustment" and asked her to correct what she did. She evaded the area and never worked on it or me again, Over the years I've tried to get someone to correct what she did, but nobody will touch it. So buyers beware! Melissa doesn't listen to her patients. She thinks she knows best and then won't own-up to her mistakes.

The experience was like a therapy session. Dan talks with you about your daily life and how it weighs on you. Then he focuses on certain areas to relieve things like stress or pain. He placed needles from my toes to my face. It didn't hurt and he used needles that were in sealed packages. His location is very clean and comforting. It felt like I had a massage after I was finished and I was super relaxed. Like I said before, I haven't been for acupuncture anywhere else, so I can't say how Dan does things compared to another location, but I can tell you that I felt at ease even though I hate needles and that I would go back if it wasn't so expensive*. *Heartpath was actually cheaper than the other places that I checked out. I think it cost me $70 for the session and it lasted about an hour.

Maybe someone I don't like very much...but even then I would be hesitant. My Google review has all the documentation if you wish to see more information on this matter. She is not the type of Chiropractor that wants to "fix" you weekly for the rest of your life. She will prescribe her services for a period of time and then see you on your way. I have seen other chiropractors through the years and she is top notch. One instance after a sports injury I struggled walking. Through many months of care she got me back on my feet and playing hard again. The wellness center has flexible hours and is reasonable for those of us who do not have insurance that covers chiropractic...me.
