It is an ok place. Big on the laid back attitude yet a wee bit unfriendly. Food is good. Burger is nice. Nice and spacious seating options.

Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! Served quite warm as well. Pretty alright tea finger sandwiches overall; the cucumber sandwich had a nice lemon zing to it though the smoked salmon sandwich and egg sandwich had bread that was a bit on the stale side. Regarding desserts, the raspberry macaron was very tasty and had a great slight chew to it but the red velvet cake was pretty dry. There were more food items at the tea service but I'm just highlighting the most noteworthy ones. :p For tea I had the jasmine lychee. Satisfyingly bold lychee taste! Recommend if you want something bright-fruity with slight tartness. Service was very polite and all-smiles but could've been more attentive. I'd say I would return here mainly for the tea and the scones!

The owner was so kind and apologetic and was generous enough to comp the whole afternoon tea. We were just happy to get a table! Luckily the London weather in December held up surprisingly well and we snagged a table outside. You can't beat this price! For about £25pp, you each get a choice of tea, and 3 tiers: sandwiches, scones, and desserts. The warm cheese sandwich and smoked salmon sandwiches were delish. I absolutely LOVE a scone and it was everything I could hope for and more. (I could eat the whole thing of clotted cream!) The owner truly made our tea feel so special. I def recommend checking this place out compared to the bigger dept stores for a more authentic feel.

There was a choice of tea or proseco or both to go along with the savory and sweet tea sandwiches. It was pricey, 30pounds, but I wanted to splurge a little. Caution, I emailed my request for reservation twice, they never got it. We had to wait until some other party who had a reservation did not show up for 45 minutes after their appointed time. Worth the wait. Make sure you double check your reservation. There were empty tables, but they do not take walk ins as there is only a certain amount of food prepared depending on reservations. The museum was fun to walk around after tea.

I loved the decor and atmosphere. Food: My friend and I both ordered the traditional English breakfast. I had mine with vegan sausage. The breakfast was exactly what I expected and was pretty good. I was excited they had a vegan sausage option instead of leaving the sausage off like other places. Service: Our service was quick and friendly. We were able to order promptly and our food came out in an expected amount of time. There is a bit of a time limit for stays because they are so busy, but we didn't feel rushed at all. It was nice to have some vegetables and it was enjoyable. The vanilla scone came in warm and enough clotted cream and jam. The pot of tea was plenty for 2 people. The quality of tea is nothing special just a traditional British breakfast tea. The service was fast and friendly. The interior was decorated that really feels traditionally British, it was a nice touch to the overall experience. Cute tea cups were used as well.

Yes, a massive windmill, green green Wimbledon Common grass as far as the eye can see, frolicking pets and toddlers, beaming couples, cyclists, birds, wide open sky, trees blowing in the breeze... ...it's a lovely spot for a cuppa. A GREAT find for breakfast!…read more I must confess that I don't know putney that well. So when I was strolling down the highstreet in the early morning, feeling pretty famished, I was delighted when Bill's caught my eye. I thought I'd found a gem and sure enough I had. It is very understated from the front, I actually had to do a double take to see that Bills served brekie. Inside Bill's has a qwerky British/italian vibe with welcoming staff. The menu was great they offered everything from tea and toast to a Full English and Eggs Benny. I chose the Full English and it was lush. The food is far from a greasy spoon and more what you'd expect from a boutique breakfast cafe. I havent seen the lunch or breakfast menu. But I assume they are equally as tasty. I hope to return soon to give them a try!

The decor probably looks the same everywhere but it is kind of cute in a quirky way. It feels like a bit of a maze but also kinda hides the amount of space it has. Luckily we booked a reservation for dinner as the couple ahead of me would have to wait about 30 minutes. My friend and I ordered a bottle of the Rose fizz. It was nice to have strawberries wedged into the side of the glass and have a huge tin as a chiller. I likey. I ordered the chicken skewers with a side of sweet potato fries. The chicken was deliciously cooked and seasoned and really liked the tzaziki dip. The pita was a bit tough but didn't really have much of that. I really liked the sweet potato fries. This is exactly how I like it. I usually don't order dessert but feel that I've been working out pretty hard and the warm mini doughnuts just had to be done. It comes with a side of melted dark chocolate and fresh strawberries. Dangerous... I might have to come here once a week for this. They came out freshly fried and the chocolate was oozing with goodness. Semi-sweet so I would cut my doughnut in half and slather the chocolate around it. Only 2 small strawberries to dip into the chocolate but none the less really enjoyed it. The service was really good. Attentive and not too stuffy. I'll definitely be coming back regularly.

After a long day at work, I trekked down the quiet side of Chiswick to Thames road for a late bite. I was seated upstairs amidst couples and groups of friends, next to a corner fireplace. From this vantage point I could see the entire upstairs dining area. Candles and roses are on every table and the decor is eclectic yet romantic - a love theme. Annie's shepherds pie (a special on my first visit) and a side of broccoli hit the spot. A few nights later I tried a more basic fish and chips, plus a pear, green bean, and shallot salad. The fish was flakey and battered perfectly - not the sloppy pub stuff you find elsewhere. The salad was refreshing. Finally, I've also enjoyed the halloumi burger. It's thick and well-executed. Substitute sweet potato fries or a vegetable for the chips if you want something a little more nutritious. Despite arriving just before closing time on most of my visits, the staff is always helpful and enthusiastic. Even on cool nights, the heat from the kitchen warms the upstairs, so be ready to de-layer if you're dressed for the cold. It's cozy! The love theme extends to your post-meal survey card, which reminds me of Valentine's cards kids give out in school. Maybe the love theme explains why I fell in love with Annie's.
