They have created a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to learn, explore, and build confidence. My son has absolutely thrived under their care. He is only four years old and is incredibly advanced academically and socially. While every child is unique, I truly believe his early childhood education at San Marco played a significant role in preparing him for success. They have done an outstanding job getting him ready for TK, and I know he is entering this next chapter with a strong foundation because of the time he spent here. I also appreciated how flexible and accommodating they have been over the past three years. And the Class Dojo app, which should have been a simple communication tool, turned into something that felt more like Instagram. I eventually deleted it out of frustration. What's most troubling is the disconnect between what's preached and what's practiced. Faith is spoken, but not lived. As Matthew 7:20 reminds us, "By their fruit you will recognize them." Parents deserve to see the reality: behind the polished image, this school fosters hypocrisy and division, not the values it claims to uphold.

Unfortunately, our experience following preschool did not meet the same standard. We observed a big shift in the approaches the school used. We had concerns about a lack of cultural sensitivity and limited willingness to engage collaboratively with parents. The disciplinary actions seemed developmentally inappropriate and punitive for young children still learning about social-emotional skills and impulsiveness. During meetings, we also encountered interactions with team members that felt dismissive and unpleasant. I lost faith in open, constructive conversations about our child's needs and progress. However, I think their academics were decent and appropriate for my child---my child performed well. Unfortunately, our child's teacher utilizes TikTok to post disparaging comments about parents. It was unprofessional and damaging to the sense of trust between them and us. My child's classroom environment also appeared overly focused on rule enforcement and behavior management through tools like ClassDojo. There was a lack of emphasis on teaching self-regulation or emotional growth. We hope the school will continue to build upon its strong preschool foundation and revisit its approach in kindergarten to support the holistic needs of its students better.

I could see my daughter flourishing here, after seeing how happy the other children were. As her first preschool and daycare type environment, she struggled with drop off. But ALL of the teachers made the effort to make that transition as seamless as possible, with their care and ability to console her with no hesitation. I had toured the school couple times, completed all required documents and paid $100 fee to make sure we would have a spot for 2023-2024 school year. Before the new school year started, I emailed the director, asked when to go to school, the director said one teacher left and they were trying to hire a new teacher, asked us to wait, no apology at all. After three weeks, I called the school again, they were still saying we have to wait until they got a new teacher, and they would call me back and enroll my kid. Now, a month and half passed, I never received a call or an email from them. I checked their website, guess what, they already hired a new teacher! But didn't tell us and enroll my kid! so I toured many other preschools and there are long waiting list to get in! I have to quit my job and stay home with my kid! They RUIN my whole schedule!! If they have a shortage of teachers, shouldn't they give a notice ahead of time? How can they just TELLING you right before the school starts!
