If you care about your money, take your child somewhere else.

I had to do everything virtually and was so flustered (7 months pregnant, moving out of state, 2.5 year old toddler, etc. etc.) that even Miss Brittany stopped me a few times to inform me of some important points I forgot to even ask about. Miss Erica is also phenomenal. I was so nervous to enroll my toddler into a new daycare because the one in Ohio was phenomenal and we had such a great experience. Cadence has been even better. My babies are happy and well taken care of, and I get to see a weekly schedule regarding what the toddler learns. There has been no turnover since we enrolled *knocks on wood-no one leave, please!* And it sounds as though the teachers and administrators are taken care of better here than some other places-this is important! We love Cadence. My only complaint is the app. It's meh, but I know teachers and administrators share the same complaints and they've exploring others.

My son has been coming here since he was a toddler and he's 5 now, I wish I brought my son here as an infant. The infant teachers are amazing. I love babies and I always go and speak to the infant one teacher and talk to all the babies. This teacher is a really great caregiver to these babies, she has so much knowledge that is very helpful to me when it comes to teaching young children. The management is great as well, they care about my son and every single one of the children at this school.

He gets a lot of attention, they send us daily updates and frequently send us pictures. He loves going to the "color school" (there are giant crayons out front). Today they even took the kids on a picnic. We couldn't ask for a better situation for our son while we are at work. Everyone is friendly. I have even personally witnessed how they discipline the children properly. The teacher explains what they did wrong and why it was wrong. The kids understand why they are in timeout etc. instead of just being placed there for an act. We love this place! When your son is excited to go to school, that says it all!

I always felt a sense of magic whenever I walked the woods, gazed at the pond, and saw the joy on each child's face on the nature playground! I was always in awe of the unique activities and ideas flowing through the children and teachers! Ms. Carolyn is such an incredible soul who values children and offers each of them an invitation to receive an incredible love of learning. The foundational skills of curiosity, social interaction, creativity, exploration, and problem solving are rock solid after my child's preschool experience. His connection to nature and love for science couldn't be more beautiful. There is no other preschool in our area that comes close to this unique forest school experience. In addition, we took advantage of the summer camp offerings and birthday party packages as well!! We drove 25 min between our home and the school. It is worth every moment of commuting to give my child such a rich childhood experience. I plan to continue my relationship with Woodland Discovery when my youngest is old enough to begin!!

We went to summer camp here one year a few years ago and my kids only lasted two days. But I listen to my kids and I trust them when they say there's a problem. It's possible a lot of these parents heard the reputation of the school and just think their kids are being difficult, but buyer beware for this one. The other families are great. The parents are generally in it for the right reasons.

The emergent curriculum is a relief is a sea of preschools where kids are forced to do worksheets, this is truly a play-based preschool. The kids spend TONS of time outside, rain or shine, and the playground is magnificent. There is a strong focus on the children learning independence, which I really appreciate. Teachers empower children to resolve issues and challenges themselves, which has given my children great skills that make them ready for Kindergarten socially. They have a lot of agency, which grows their confidence and is a good outlet for the "I do it myselfs". Plus, there is a focus on healthy living, as the Schoolhouse only serves fresh fruits and vegetables for snack! Being snack-helper is one of my kids' favorite activities. We have been on the waitlist for the infant room for almost a year now. We actually got on the waitlist when I was 2 months pregnant. At he time they said they expected to have openings in a year. That seemed reasonable for a good school. So, we paid the $75 (I think) application fee and got on the waitlist. Throughout the spring and summer I inquired about our status every few months and just kept being told that they didn't know, they didn't know, maybe. Well after my son was born in July and I asked specifically about October the answer became a clear, no. Then I get emails to "waitlist families" saying that we have to let them know if we want to keep our status on the waitlist and if so we will be moved up to the next classes waitlist. While I get that this is an in-demand school I feel that they could have been much more honest and open about the likelihood of getting a spot before taking your money. So, I'm sure the school is lovely, but if you're shopping for daycares for your infant...here's what we have been through. Hope it helps.
