There are so many incredible, quaint shops to explore, and a bunch of them offer free samples, which makes wandering around even more fun. We've still got plenty to come back for too, like the Ultimate Mirror Maze and the Blacksmith Experience. Some of our favourite stores we visited this trip were Sticky Situations, Enchanted Forest, Zac & Mac's Chocolate Haus, and Cherry Republic, all packed with personality and great finds. Though, our waitress was 10/10 top notch. We visited antiques and comics store because it was the closest comic store we could find to East Tawas. Their stock did not disappoint! It's all used and second-hand, but I had a great time thumbing through the boxes and checking out the action figures. The issues went as far back at the 1970s that I could see, and went as recent as this year. The part I was most impressed with was their "whole run" section. Theyre they had collected all of the issues of a bunch of short runs, packaged them together, and gave a discount. That way, you got the entire story, like you would if you were getting a graphic novel. I bought two runs! If you're looking for antique knick-knacks or a good deal on comics missing from your collection, this is a good place to stop!

It's done, it's over... I remember my parents driving us to…read morethis mall when I was a kid. Toy stores, hobby shops, arcade. The 1990's reinvention of updates and food courts. It's a ghost town, unsustainable in its current form. The land is worth more that than the business that occupy it. "Food court" had 2 places to eat, only 1 was open and neither were a popular chain. I remembered it being packed full of people, you'd have to zig and zag to avoid them. Now you have to try really hard just to find someone who isn't working at the "mall". Just visit for morbid curiosity.

Also the lady at the Auntie Anne's said they didn't even serve pepperoni pretzels (the stand was dead and it was the afternoon, which means there was no reason for there to be stock issues and also sums up the mall in general, especially because we went on a Saturday) which makes literally no sense because they had stickers for pepperoni bites on the display. Why would you not be able to stick a couple slices of that pepperoni on a pretzel at the very least? Genesee Valley Mall level garbage except surrounded with stores that are just as bad when it comes to options.
