We needed to get our windows in our house clean. We just go the house painted and when the painters power washed the house, they really got the windows dirty. I checked the internet and found Lighthouse window cleaning. John called and made a point to call me back. I asked John if he could fit me in on Saturday. John wanted to accomodate my schedule not his. John came out on Saturday and was at our house a couple of minutes early, which I was very impressed with. He went right to work, vacuuming out the window tracks, and doing a very good job. He said that if there was anything wrong, to call and he would be out to fix it. John was very nice, easy to talk to and very professional. I am very satisfied with Vent-tastic and highly recommend its dryer duct cleaning service. It's nice to actually have the owner of a business, like Nick at Vent-tastic, come out to do the work. Nick arrived promptly for our scheduled appointment, and was very professional and respectful. He completed the job in a timely manner and cleaned up completely after himself. Nick told me that our duct was completely plugged and provided a video to show the before and after of his cleaning. Looking at it makes me realize we were fortunate that we haven't had a fire, and probably explains why our dryer wasn't performing too well. Anyone who hasn't had their dryer duct cleaned in some time (like me) and has issues with their dryer not drying too well (like mine) might want to consider having the duct cleaned before splurging on a new dryer. John and his crew - Dave, Kyle and Peter - lived up to their business name by cleaning the windows in the Point Arena Lighthouse Tower, at 115' the tallest lighthouse on the Pacific coast. They adhered to our safety protocols for working outside the Lantern Room on the catwalk, suspended their work inside when guests came up on tours, cleaned up after they were done and left the windows brilliantly clear and sparkling. Perfect timing as well, since we are holding our monthly Full Moon Night Tour this Wednesday and now everyone will be able to clearly see the full moon rising above the Manchester hills. I can't say enough about how wonderful my windows look after Paul finished cleaning them here, it almost looks like the windows are open! Our local realtor recommended Lighthouse to neighbors selling their house who then recommended them to me. This is my third time in three years using them and I have been pleased every time. I recently had a technician out to repair my dryer and he noticed I had some lint build up which was causing my dryer to be inefficient, thus taking much longer than necessary to dry the clothes. I thought it was just a problem with the dryer so after being educated about this, I called up Ventastic and Nick came out and did a high quality job to fix my problem. As others on here have noted, he used a camera to show me the before and after video of the lint build up. The difference in before and after was pretty dramatic, and the price was very reasonable. Is equipment and a little cleaning around on the corners of about 40 feet of vent. The job was done efficiently without a mess. I was very impressed with John's and his partners work. My windows looked great and he even cleaned my tracks for an additional fee we agreed upon. John even measured and took some of my screens that needed to be replaced and returned a few days later to put them in. When one of the screens didn't fit properly he took it back and sent it to another company to have it done. All at his own expense and keeping to the original estimate he gave me. Nick was the ultimate professional. From the cones around his vehicle to the ladder safely placed on the house to get up on the roof. He presented his bonding and insurance information and preceded to lay out blankets on the floor for his equipment and was very thorough in cleaning and videoing our dryer ductwork. We were extremely impressed with the high standards of Lighthouse Window Cleaning . They were punctual, friendly, through, knowledgable and affordable. Prior to leaving, they insisted that the inside garage window be washed. We didn't feel that it was necessary because the window was not easily accessible (hadn't been cleaned in 18 years) ! Nick came on time as scheduled and really cleaned out all the lint - replaced the Dryer Flex Exhaust Hose, took off the back and vacuumed all the inside where lint was also collecting. I also got a Dryer Fire Protection Plan from Vent-tastic. I used a coupon I had for Vent-Tastic. He e-mailed me the down hose before and after cleaning "video" of the lint that had collected in the hose. I called John at Lighthouse Window Cleaning after reading positive reviews on Yelp. They met and surpassed my expectations. The screen were brushed, window frames vacuumed and cleaned, and windows cleaned excellently! They were prompt and courteous and friendly as can be. We just had the windows in our house cleaned by Lighthouse and Sean did a wonderful job! The windows had not been cleaned in many years and they look like new now. Sean was very careful in covering items that were near the windows and he moved furniture when needed and put it back in the right place. He even let us know about several failed windows that might be covered under warranty from the manufacturer, which we didn't know. All in all, a very positive experience! read more
