Great customer service! Office staff is friendly, prompt in returning calls, and honest in how they present themselves. The service tech came out when promised and walked me through the work that needed to be done. He was friendly, courteous, and up-front. We were having difficulties with our sprinkler system startup this spring, and the tech came out and fixed the issue quickly. Not only that, he informed me of a few other items that needed attention. Absolutely would not recommend using this company. Very frustrating experience. I had multiple trees die within the first year despite proper care. After reaching out in early March, I spent nearly two months following up, only to be told the warranty would not be honored due to the previous company going out of business. This could have been communicated from the start. Instead, I was quoted a high price for smaller replacement trees after weeks of delays. Poor communication and lack of transparency made this a disappointing experience overall. read more

I contracted to have fall leaf cleanup in 2026 and it never happened. Now I'm left with tons of rotting leaves under the snow. Things have started to melt, leaving me with a huge mess. The snow is difficult to move with the leaves. I'm really sorry I relied on this company to perform what it's promises. I have a lot of trees and now l lot of dead leaves. Too bad the company isn't reliable. If it ever gets cleaned up I will modify my review. Update 1: they came and got some of the leaves. Cleaned up what they could around drive, front yard, and backyard where I shovel for my small dog. Much better, but still only 1/3 - 1/2 done. They will come back and finish after full thaw. I don't know what the problem with this company is, but they are messed up! Last fall I had a guy come and give me an estimate for some outdoor lights to be installed. He told me the work would be done as soon as there was a warm day. Well, winter came and I never heard from them. Spring came and I drove over to talk about the lights and some edging. They never got back to me and that was 3 weeks ago. It seems like they are self-destructing with their poor and non-existent follow-up. They have lost me as a customer. read more

Nick and Jay showed up on time, both very professional, polite and patient. I had someone come out for an estimate 6 weeks ago. I was told I would be contacted in two week via e mail with a written estimate. Well I still haven't received anything. I have called twice to find out what is going on, I was assured someone would get back to me both times... Still waiting. One of the excuses I was given was, they are busy. That is no excuse, you need a better system to get in touch with customers and potential customers. We should not have to call you to find out what is going on. Very disappointed in the lack of commitment from a company that has been around so long. Unfortunately this seems to be the norm these day's, as they aren't the only one. What a shame read more

We paid for our sprinklers to be serviced in the spring time and it would include winterizing in the fall for $60, which I thought was fair. Due to absolutely HORRIBLE communication they charged us an Extra fee to come out and winterize our sprinklers which is ridiculous and was not the initial deal. If you are looking for service through them I would look elsewhere. They are not easy to deal with and you'll end up paying more than you bargain for. read more

Lighting Lawn & Landscape did a great job. The work they performed was superb! They went above and beyond to get my 7 Arborviates removed, mulch laid, and the grounds cleaned up. They also went back to the shop to get a tool and different type sprinkler head to replace the existing one to prevent water from spraying on to a generator being installed on the shub removal site next week. That was greatly appreciated as I will not need to take an additional day off work to get that done. We will have more projects in the upcoming months and we will use Lightening Lawn and Landscaping to get them done. Thank you for a job well done. read more

I just recently hired lightning lawn care to help me with my landscape design. I used to have them cut my lawn years ago when I had lots to mow. I cannot believe what a beautiful yard I have now! I love to stand back and admire it, can't believe it's my home. Every day I love to come home to my landscape lights, and beautiful colorful plants! Lightning performed the work we asked for them to do, but when it came to the finish line we were pretty disappointed! - Had a $1,000 coupon w/o restrictions that we were unable to use, per the owner. So be wary of coupons, false advertising! - They simply threw dozens of bricks into the woods after they completed our patio. Just no care for the environment. Even asked them to clean it up, NO RESPONSE! - They had to raise a valve box for the sprinkler system and never did it. So if you want a good job to go 90% of the way and leave you disappointed, Lightning is your company. read more

Terrible company - Landscaping completed by them on my new construction novi, they installed low quality manual sprinker system (At todays era who uses manual there is no wifi) 6 zones only, but promised me while signing the contract they are going to insatll 8 zone based on my lot size which has not fulfilled, when i asked them they said you have to pay extra amount if you want wifi enabled sprinkler system. They installed worst lightning system, at todays age who uses mechanical based timer system to control the lights which is of no use. 2" Cleveland pear tree cost me $400 which is way beyond my imagination or market rate, so i am totally upset with them and complained many times but they threatened me saying they have more than 50 employees, they will come to my property in couple of hrs and remove everything if i not paid remaining 20% as per contract. I paid 80% amount before starting the work which is my huge mistake, so here I am suggesting my neighbors or community be aware from this company, whoever wants to do business with them please take cost breakup for each and every material on paper and then sign, don't consider verbal contract otherwise at last they will force or threaten you to make a payment. read more

Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This company is a joke. They did landscaping for us late last fall. The workers were great, but since then getting ahold of the company to replace 6 dead burning bushes and 3 dead phlox has been a nightmare. They said just to "make me happy" they would come back out. That was after 4 phone calls where nobody would call me back. So far they are a no show. They will gladly take your money, but then they are gone. I too tried to leave a review on their website and it was "not acceptable". Try getting the name of the owner, we've been given 3 different names. Whatever! read more

We just completed our first season with the company and had a great result. Jennifer is wonderful to work with - created beautiful pots for the fall. The lawn looks great, they trimmed trees and bushes, and most importantly, realized how important the control of the ivy is around the house is and did a great job. My neighbors on either side of my house have used them for years, and I finally got smart and called them. They have been responsive to our needs - not only to keep the lawn and landscape healthy and looking great, but have been sensitive to cost control as well. I LOVE them! read more

Worst Customer Service and Service Experience I have EVER been alive to witness and be a part of! From my experience over the past year with this company, we have had lawn service that was absolutely horrible; invoices that were incorrect, new invoices never provided, was taken to court over $35 that was incorrectly invoiced (to which the Owner never showed!), and now 5 of the seven trees that were installed in my yard were "installed wrong". We have had other service providers come and look and have told us everything that was done wrong (i.e. ropes left on the trees from the bulbs that were choking off growth, bulbs not buried completely and hidden under mulch, etc.). When we reached out the owner, we were ignored, hung up on, and told it was our fault for not "wrapping them in burlap"; which is completely untrue and unneeded. I feel completely taken advantage of after spending over $6000 in landscaping alone, and completely mortified at the lack of customer respect. I will never use this company again, and would deter anyone and everyone else. read more

IT WAS NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE. I WOULD SAY NO. We moved into South Lyon MI recently. I got lightning lawn care contact information from a coworker. I called the number and talked to Justin. He was very polite. we set up a time to meet at our house to discuss and get a quote. Devan showed up to take some pictures and talk to us. We were promised a quote (by couple days if only sod and sprinklers, a week if sod, sprinklers and landscaping). I am not sure what happened, we never heard back from either one of them. we were supposed to send them an email. we did send one. we also did send them a text after a week. The response was that we should get a quote by Tuesday (which was 3 days ahead). we didn't see any quotes. so my husband sent them a text again, for which we still haven't heard back (its about a week now). If you don't have time for customers, please don't promise anything or be honest about your time line. I did try adding this testimonial on their website. well looks like they are smart, paid customers with accounts can give them testimonials (only good ones). read more
