I'm normally the guy who will get their family members to help when it comes to moving and pay them later with a get together and a nice food spread at the new place but this time I decided to bite the bullet in hopes to make it LESS stresfful and boy was it worth it. These guys did a great job with our stuff considering there were things to get from three different locations. A storage unit, and two different homes clear across town from one another. From South Dallas to Mesquite and back to the final destination in Valley Ranch. To make matters more complicated, we had to move on a rainy day so naturally things would go slower, none the less, these guys took care of our stuff as if it were they're own by using thick blankets and shrink wrap to protect the furniture as well as the man valued things (A/V equipment) not to mention when we got to the new house, they took the time to lay some mats down in the entry hallways and carpeted areas to avoid any mud getting into the new carpet. I guess it's those little things that matter to me when it comes to good service. The owner Rogelio, I think, would help his guys but generally speaking he was more overseeing his guys to make sure things are carefully handled. I'd say a good operation for what seemed to be a family operated business. Did a little bit of shopping around and for a 1 complete living room and 3 bedroom HOME move, I'd say pricing was fair compared to the 'bigger' guys. Don't expect a CHEAP quote unless you want badly performed labor, I'm sure there are cheaper gigs around town but then again we all know...YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR....I read all the reviews since I'm normally not one to sit here and type one up but....c'mon really??? someone expects a moving company to move you in 2.5 hours??? In one word: EXCELLENT! Rogelio and his crew were professional, courteous, fast, and very considerate with my belongings. I called on a Tuesday to schedule an apartment move on Sunday, and received an email confirming my move the same evening. I also received a follow-up call to confirm the move on Saturday, and then they called again half an hour before arriving on Sunday. The movers were EXTREMELY careful (I have examined every piece of furniture and there is not a single scratch on anything, or on any wall). They also worked very quickly and were very positive and friendly while working. When they unloaded my washer/dryer, Rogelio alerted me that my dryer had the wrong prongs for the current apartment (dryers have either a 3- or 4-prong plug), but before I even had a moment to worry about the inconvenience, Rogelio told me he had the proper replacement plug on hand and if I wanted, he could install it. He gave me a very reasonable price on what I dreaded having to tend to on my own. Now that is a true professional! I had also moved a few things prior to their arrival (like my TV's since my satellite was set up a day before), and they even offered to set up my entertainment system. After researching movers for several days and not getting call backs or confirmations from several companies, I decided on Lightning Moving Co. to move from Fort Worth to Dallas. I moved from a house to an apartment and these guys did awesome! I scheduled about a week in advance of the move, and Rogelio sent the confirmation email right away. I was worried having never used a moving company in DFW and seeing so many reviews for several sites, but my mom and I couldn't have been happier with Lightning. They were scheduled to come at 9 am on a Saturday morning and they were 15 minutes early. Moved 5 pieces of furniture/queen bed and 10 big boxes in under an hour and a half, and they were all finished by 1 pm. Really affordable prices and they moved very quickly. Can't imagine how much of a hassle the move would have been if it hadn't been for these guys! Highly highly recommend. Not sure where the negative feedback from previous reviews is coming from, but this group is great. Everyone was SO friendly too and took great care of all the stuff. We had the people from Lightning Moving relocate my family's stuff to a new house about two miles down the street from our previous location. They packed us as if we were moving a thousand miles away: no shortcuts, bubble wrapped everything, and they were very timely and efficient. We were very satisfied with their service, their professionalism, and the amount of respect they exhibited with our stuff and with me during our brief interaction. One example of how I felt them go "above and beyond," was when we had underestimated the amount of stuff we had in the house. They were scheduled for 4 hours (which was a guess-timate by my wife), but he thought that 6 hours was more fitting and reasonable. I thought I was getting taken a bit but quickly found out that we were the ones off. They worked during the entire time on the clock and actually moved us in 7 hours, charged us for 6, and even had to call another guy to finish the job in the time limit they quoted. Rogelio showed up with his crew and quickly got to work. We did a walk-through of the apartment and identified everything that his guys were moving and everything that they weren't. Anything wood or fragile was wrapped with blankets and shipping-wrapped. The crew worked fast, taking only one short break (less than 5 minutes for water) in the middle of August (crazy!). The unloading at the house was even faster, but they still were very careful (no damage to goods or the house). I surprised them by having stands for the washer and dryer (we just purchased them 2 days before and had them delivered to the house) and asked if they would connect them; they did so without complaint, and there was no extra charge. I just hope that Rogelio is still around next time I have to move, because I will be calling Lightning Moving next time without even considering the alternatives. read more

We used Lightning Movers twice--to move all our furniture and dishes from the downstairs of our house into our garage for storage while we did major renovation of the kitchen, living room, and floor refinishing, and then back into the house 2 1/2 months later. They also carefully moved our piano (for an extra charge). Everything was handled skillfully and professionally, carefully wrapped and protected. When they were delayed for the second job of returning our furniture to the house because of truck problems, they arrived at the later time they specified and brought an extra crew to handle the job twice as fast. Rogelio and his team (two sons) are professionals through and through. My research was extensive in regards to my decision for our move, and based on the review I read, I was confident Lightning Movers would deliver. The work is hard and tedious but they took exceptional care of our property. I was most impressed with the way they handled our glass, mirrors, lamps and breakables, making sure all items were carefully wrapped and handled with care. A++ Service I called Lightning after All my Sons left me high and dry. If I would have checked yelp first, that wouldn't have been a problem. Called Rogelio at 11am and he said they can move me at 12:30pm. Came out with a 3 man crew and were very quick yet gentle with everything. Any damage they saw they pointed out first and were great to work with. Moved into my new place just as fast and provided me a charge that was far below what All my Sons quoted. FAST! COURTEOUS! I actually moved in Feb, in the cold, and Lightning Moving Co was the best! I moved from East Dallas to South Garland, and they were EXTREMELY efficient. They wrapped my items carefully and treated them as I would. They arrived on time and had no problem stopping at my storage unit on the way to my new home. The entire move took 4 hours (which was what I had budgeted). I hired them on a HIGH recommendation from a friend......WOW was I impressed with these guys! Lightning Moving Co. rescued us from a near disaster!! After Texas Brothers Moving canceled on us at 5:30p the night before, I called Lightning based on a recommendation from a friend. Great experience. I call to schedule my move and Rogelio was very fast on setting me up on the day i needed to move. They arrive around 15 min earlier from time which is great. They moved me and my roommate in no time. They had all the equipment needed, i almost wanted to help out just cause am that guy but Rogelio let me know it was in his crew hands. I was very impressed with these guys. They arrived at my house exactly when they said they were going to be there, and didn't stop moving once. They were able to pick up my stuff, my girlfriend's stuff, and move us into our new house in less than 3 hours. I could not have asked for a better moving experience. Moved over Labor Day to a 3rd story apartment. The company promised to be there at 9:30 but got there at 9:00, even with mapquest sending them out of their way. The three men were efficient and wrapped all my furniture. Everything went as planned and they even hooked up my washer and dryer. They actually arrived early, packed my things with care, and zipped around the house moving things out and moving things back into my new house with speed and efficiency. Perfect move! Great guys. They worked hard and fast (but not so fast as to damage items) to get my things moved. Very careful!
