Got Botox here using a Groupon for 40 units. They said I needed 42 so I paid for two extra units ($25 no big deal) but I got ZERO results from the botox. I've been getting Botox for years and always get 40 units for my forehead and have great results. Kept waiting like it was gonna kick in and everything looks exactly the same. While the facility is nice and the staff was always friendly towards me, the treatment did not work. I did my underarms and purchased 8 sessions. First of all, this is painful. Not completely unbearable because the underarms is such a small area, but this really hurts. If the results were good, I would consider doing larger areas of my body. But at this point I would say definitely not worth the horrible pain you endure. The biggest issue though, is this did not work AT ALL. I did 8 sessions and it did keep the hair away during that time. My final treatment was January and it is now March and ALL of the hair is COMPLETELY back. It didn't thin out the hair, it's not patchy. Literally all of my hair has completely grown back in a matter of a couple months. read more

I have been coming here for a couple of years. Not every procedure is for all. My skin has never looked better and I get compliments all the time. As far as my face goes I have had Sofwave and most recently 1 Neo laser treatment. The difference is amazing with the change in firmness and now fading of brown spots and a smoother texture. The 4 stars is because treatments are pricey so do not be sticker shocked when quoted. I am 55 and my skin looks like I'm 30. It appears that I am aging backwards. Be careful if you arrive to your appointment early. I arrived early in case I got lost. I did not want to be late which could throw their schedule off. I was also thinking I may have to fill out information prior to my appointment. When I knocked on the door the technician looked as if I was at the wrong place. The technician stated she had another appointment and asked for me to WAIT OUTSIDE. In situations when early, I've always been courteously greeted and told I can wait in the seating area. I'm glad I drove a car and the weather was not raining or snowing. As someone who likes to pamper herself often, I WILL NOT RECOMMEND this establishment to anyone. read more

I went in for a treatment on my face and hands to remove the ugly brown spots that make me feel and look old, WOW, what a difference! The spots on my face lightened so much that I no longer needed cover up and my hands look 10 years younger. Loved it! I like the convenience of the location and the facility was clean and private. I am very unhappy with the results of my laser hair removal treatments. I was told that I would have little to no hair growth and that was a lie. I understand that everyone has different results but I still have to shave everyday. I also paid over $1000.00 for my treatments. In addition they closed the faculty close to my house and i had to drive almost 40 minutes for each appointment. When I complained they acted like it was no big deal and would not do anything to compensate the inconvenience. Do not waste your time or money. Go somewhere more reputable. Everything was going well, until the day my appointment time needed to be changed. They asked me to change my appointment time, because of a training they were going to have. I said no problem, but I would have to bring my kids and the lady on the phone said that it was fine. Nobody asked the age or anything about my children or gave me any orientation whatsoever. On the day of the appointment I drove with my two boys 50 minutes to get to my treatment and as soon as I arrived I was mistreated and humiliated for bringing my children with me. I heard that children were not allowed and that I was supposed to know that, because it is self explanatory and that children should never be brought to a medical spa. I tried to explain that my appointment was changed and that I was informed that it would be ok to bring children, but the mistreatment just kept on happening in front of my kids and other clients. It was so bad and once we left the place my 5 year old said that two ladies were bullies !!!! Later I called to make a complaint and I received the same information on the phone, that it was allowed to bring children (once again no question was asked about the age of my kids, etc). I definitely hope this never happens to anybody else and that the communication improves between the main office, treatment center and clients. read more

I had laser treatment for age spots on my hands and bald head. Very surprised at how much they had faded after two treatments. I also had two treatments for broken capillaries and again noticed a significant difference in there appearance. Technicians that help me were very professional, informative and helpful. Karen has been helpful with the treatments but also how to prevent future issues with my age spots. read more

Be careful what you subscribe to or take this company up on. When I had my consult several months ago I was offered the option to break the complete cost of my package over three months. Just talked to the office manager today who now told me that I was getting "preferential treatment" for something her staff offered me and then proceeded to say that "maybe you couldn't get a credit card with us" - um, no, not the case at all - have excellent credit. Anyone who actually cares about their credit rating isn't going to sign up for a senseless credit card when the offer to break up payments with no interest is offered to you. So insulting - this Yelp rating could have been completely avoided...but this was completely instigated by Light RX Hoffman Estates but I'm happy to add to social media exactly what I think. Be super careful of who is your consultant the first time too - why wouldn't an actual tech be there or someone who knows what they're talking about? Next, if you're that bad off go see a surgeon and don't waste your time throwing your pennies into this fountain of youth. read more

When you purchase a package, be sure you can actually book your services! The ladies at Lightrx are great, and do a great job! The facilities are always well kept and clean and I would recommend them, however it is always a problem making appointments to actually use the services I already purchased. This is a big problem, as you need to have the services done at least once a week (but Legacy gives better results if done every 3-4 days). Unfortunately, they never have available appointments...always booked!!! Even if you asked to be ouon a cancellation list, they never ever call! This is a problem! Especially when I go for an appointment (that I actually had to schedule weeks in advance) and there are many people standing in front doing nothing because they had cancellations. Or, better yet, they are leaving early because of cancellations. When I tell the girls this is A problem, and that I would like to post a review, they say it won't do a thing to help the situation. That the owner will not hire more people because of cancellations. Well, if cancellations are so frequent, why do I never get a call to come in during any of those? So, in turn, great location, friendly and knowledgeable staff, a terrible customer service when trying to get an appointment! After posting this review, Magda contacted me right away. She went out of her way to schedule more appointments for me. Karen also called me when a cancellation would arise to try to get me in. I truly appreciate the effort they all gave!!! Recently had a Venus Bliss treatment on my flanks and it was very tolerable. The technician and staff were great and very knowledgeable and professional. They walked me through the entire treatment. The staff is extremely nice and friendly. However, I was told different pricing for things. Before going in for a consultation with Maggie, I called them and asked me them much it would be for a full face. I wanted to get an idea before I even went in so that I don't waste anyone's time. I was told they had a buy one are get another free so for $129 a month I can fill face and another area for equal or lesser value for free. Maggie was very convincing and I'm paying more then double the amount I was originally told. It is partially my fault because I should have thought about before signing up. I decided to go to the location in downtown chicago just to get an idea. They were willing to lower the price. However, since I already signed up for double the price I'm kinda stuck now. I completely understand it's a business but everyone needs to be on the same page. When I mentioned to Maggie the price I was told over the phone, she brushed it off and said it's not for the whole face. To top it off, a really good friend of mine goes to lightRX but in a different state, and they stuck to the same price she was told originally so it's definitely not the company it's jus this location. Okay first off, they need to put a warning when you buy a Groupon because apparently they are so "booked" you have to wait two months for an appointment. I called on FRIDAY and the girl told me their schedules were down or something and that she would call me back Saturday and it never happened, I called yesterday and had to leave a message and still no one called back...I went in for a consult about two weeks ago with a friend, my friend was able to set her first appointment but I had to wait to see my schedule. My friend got in yesterday for her appointment...I called today to set mine and she tells me the end of April is the first available!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is over two months away which is RIDICULOUS seeing my friend was able to make her SECOND appointment on April 7th and she just made it yesterday. She was rude on the phone and had an attitude. I am not basing this review on results. I have not yet seen results but I am trying to keep the faith. I am basing this review on ethics. A few weeks ago I thought I was getting the best deal on skin tightening treatments ($2000) because that is what I was led to believe by the Manager... and she (Maggie) could not have been more convincing. It did not take me long to notice that Maggie's demeanor seemed to change as soon as I signed the dotted line and closed the deal. She even forgot who I was by the very next week. Today the "Black Friday" specials were suggested to me and when I saw the pricing I literally wanted to vomit. It was a third of what I paid a few weeks ago. I am totally disgusted. I am not sure what upsets me more.. People that have the ability to look someone in the eyes and lie thru their teeth or myself for always putting my faith in people to be honest and do the right thing. This is an update to the review I wrote on 3/6/2018. I finally received my refund on 3/8 which it thw money should have NEVER BEEN REMOVED from my account in the 1st place let alone taking over 10 days to receive it when I was promised it would be in my account by that Friday March 2nd. When I was not successful nor happy with the response regarding my refund after spearing to Maggie at Light rx in Hoffman estates she expressed that my refund is now in corporate hands and it was out of her hands I was unsuccessful at contacting corporate until I wrote a review on Google, Yelp and submitted a claim on the Better Business Bureau website was when I was successful received a response back from corporate on 3/7 and my money was refunded back to my account on 3/8. A big lesson was learned no matter how big a place claims to be we got to remember we're also a consumer who had their pockets with their income. read more
