She scheduled my installation for the very next day, confirmed all the details, and even coordinated with the technician to keep me updated on their arrival time, down to providing gate codes and ETAs. After losing my static IP with my previous provider, I needed one urgently for my mail server, and Sue ensured it happened without delay. They offer a free static IP with every residential account, with the option to add more for just $15/month--such a great value! I also love their symmetric upload and download speeds (up to 1GB/1GB), which are perfect for remotely accessing my camera system. The service itself is fantastic. My original post was over a year ago so I thought I should touch base and let you know how happy I am I found Lightwave Broadband. I realize they are in Valley Center (I'm in Escondido) but don't let that stop you from calling them since they offer service in a vast area. Their Broadband is awesome and no one appreciates that more then I do since I struggled for years with terrible broadband, from DSL to NetZero, etc. (none of the regular companies service my area). Such a pleasure to have RELIABLE service and a team who are always there to help if ever you need it. I've seldom had a question or need for minor service, but when I've needed them, they are there. From Sue who answered all of my Sales questions and got me started with all the right stuff. No matter the question, even though they may be small, she takes the time to help. Then there's Karen in billing who has been so helpful and I'm sure their online billpay has made it much easier for her (it's awesome). Then there's the Tech team who helped me on two occasions. I didn't realize their posted hours are 9-5 Mon/Fri so I called on a Sunday afternoon. I should have known I would receive a callback from a Tech Supervisor on a Sunday afternoon and he made sure all was taken care of. I can't leave out Chris the amazing technician who installed everything and had to come out once since (those darn trees and wind). Chris is a magician. So, if you need Broadband, even if you are surrounded by high trees and unbelievable wind or even a normal area, you can't go wrong with Lightwave. After reading the reviews here, I thought I would post my own experience. I live in Escondido and was affiliated with another Satellite Provider that merged with Lightwave. I immediately noticed a superior speed, almost 2 1/2 times faster. There were a few growing pains, as no one from Lightwave was familiar with our building set up. I emailed, and got a response immediately from Chris. If the Chris I keep seeing pop up in reviews is named Chris Epperson, he's the CEO of Lightwave. I have standing instructions to call him with any unresolved issues at any time. The only thing I wish they had was an online billing portal. I'm almost at the Oldztimer's age and forgetful. We just moved to Valley Center and the sellers recommended Lightwave Wireless. Our previous provider, ATT DSL was horrendously unstable and not reliable. Chris came and installed my router but it didn't work too well. House was too big, router too small. I got another and it's awesome. Covers the entire house with fast connection speeds. I was able to connect 3 TVs for streaming, two laptops, two cell phones, and multiple other devices without degradation in signal. Sue made the contract business very easy and offered new customer discounts. If you live in a rural area, forget Cox or any hardwired connection. Lightwave Wireless is the way to go. Highly recommend. You have to be able to see Mt Woodson from your house though. I ditched satellite for their service and it's been great. Speed is as advertised for the plan I got and prices are reasonable. I've had the service for about 3 weeks now and it dropped a couple of times, went slow a couple of times but one time when I called they rebooted my modem/dish which quickly fixed the issue. Satellite had major latency problems with VPN which we're not experienced with this service. Streaming Netflix and Amazon has worked perfectly fine so far. There's also no data caps which was a huge problem with satellite. Overall, this service is way better. read more

We've been customers for almost 2 years now and have never had any issues with lightwave at all. We have 2 lines of service and have since signing on with them. One to support an Air Rave to boost our phone signal and the other to support a home office. In that time we have never had an outage or service issues whatsoever. I recommended to all my neighbors so my entire street are customers. Lightning fast speeds that supports online gaming, Netflix, and of course Internet services. Contacted Lightwave to establish service. Sue is the sales associate, and she took the time to answer all my questions. She has great patience and is very thorough in her answers as we ran down the service plans and nuances of having two locations. She also called me back to ensure the appointment was set and if I had any new/ follow-up questions. What an awesome lady. Then, she followed up in text, which I confirmed. She is very thorough indeed and, a very pleasant demeanor to add. You can tell she cares and wants things done right the first time. It doesn't get any easier than this! After looking at many options, I sent in an online request to Lightwave about receiving internet service for our home. Sue contacted me the same day and said that after looking up my info installation should be possible at our address. We set up an appointment for survey/installation and Sue outlined everything we would need and the special that their company was currently running. She promptly texted me with the appointment details after we hung up. I'm really hopeful that it'll be a more reliable form of internet service than what we currently have with our other provider! read more

We're in Valley Center and have been using Lightwave for a few years now. I'm very happy with their customer service and technical support. Very nice people. Sue is great, so helpful and easy to talk to. I believe Kyle and Richard are in technical support, whoever I talk to is always responsive and kind. Occasionally we'll have issues with our internet service, which is expected living out in the boonies where I feel lucky to have internet at all, but most of the time the level of internet service great. 5 well deserved stars :) read more

let me start by saying I called, several companies before this one. Westernbroadband, viasat, spectrum, cox, among others they were NOT helpful at all! I called lightwave spoke with Sue a very nice lady and very helpful. She provided me with the information I need plus a package affordable for us since I'm not working currently. Now just wait to get the service and will update my review but I have no doubt they will be amazing. Loved how fast they got me scheduled to install a new service. I called on a Friday and they were at my house the following Tuesday and that was because Monday was a holiday. The technician that came to my house was very professional and the representative I talked to on the phone ,Sue was very helpful explaining the different levels of service they offered. We have had this service for a year now. It's been a lifesaver, being in a country area, it's hard to find service for home internet. We enjoy the service, the upgrades at no cost and the phone call away for a tech to check n fix the little glitches, that are few and in between. I have them now for two months they set up my Internet did a great job. I'm on level six and have multiple computers, Alexa and cameras. It's great to know that there is an Internet provider for even when you live out in the boonies. I highly recommend them.
