Slow service, breaks down all the time, they say they will follow up then they ghost you. They don't care.

We planned on adding 3 lines and also wanted to upgrade a phone. Unfortunately, we had a 3 hour sidequest because T-Mobile was a nightmare to leave. We needed a TMobile transfer pin so we were told to contact them by phone. The TMobile phone customer service said we needed to go in store. When we got to the store, they said we needed to call customer service. ANYWAY, we finally got the pin we needed and headed back to Spectrum at about 4pm. The Spectrum guys were swamped because they were short-staffed by two guys. This also happened to be a day where they had a few complicated customer service issues to deal with prior to helping us again. So, when Royan began helping us with our final transitions, we of course, were no exception to complicated issues. One of our phones was so ancient that it wouldn't adhere to simple transfer protocols (ESim activation). We ended up upgrading that phone and succesfully porting everything over. Royan also had to upgrade another phone and then activate the other two lines. All told, we didn't leave the store until 30 minutes PAST CLOSING. The entire time, Royan was upbeat while also being apologetic for all the issues. He remained patient and dilligent throughout the process and he finally got us everything we requested. While it wasn't an ideal amount of time to spend in the store, the experience was well-done because he worked until everything was completed and IT WAS DONE RIGHT. I had no issues with the lines, data transfers or the billing. Special props to Royan because he worked from open to way past closing and he did it with a great attitude the entire time. I know Spectrum customer service can get a bad rap for the extended wait times and slow service but please remember to factor in difficulty and quality of service received. Thanks Spectrum Carmel Mountain!

Just received my spectrum fiber internet service in san diego. I texted a local spectrum agent (my…read morecomplex had their promotional materials around), and setup was straightforward, their app runs well too. (some part of setup requires financial info given verbally over the phone, they could not set it up by app only.) The best part was the servicer who came to setup my internet. He cam early before my 9am timeslot, was courteous throughout, and even upgraded the old coaxial cable that came with my apartment complex. (from RG59 to RG6 -which he explained that results in less dropouts. (I'm on the third floor which is a distance from the actual 'optic fiber' part of the connection.) Will give an update soon, so far its very smooth, with 550mbps down and 30mbps up on speedtest.net.

I've had so many issues with service stability and their provided equipment that many years ago I purchased my own cable modem. One day I received a flyer that google fiber was now available for my unit. I called spectrum and it hey said they could match the service quality but their rate was higher ... and I would have to use their equipment. I gave them a chance but they could not activate their equipment for FOUR hours. Eventually it activated but I got no internet. They then started to blame my top of the line nighthawk router that was working JUST FINE along with my modem before they activated their modem. This is how they left it KNOWING I needed internet to work the next day. I asked them to hook up my old modem that was working fine before, but they said it was "incompatible" with their service. I plugged in my old modem and BOOM everything worked again. Tired with their incompetence, I called Gfiber and they had me hooked up the SAME DAY and it only took 30 minutes for SYMMETRICAL 1 GB SERVICE FOR LESS than spectrum. You would think my problems with spectrum would stop there, but it didn't. They even made disconnecting their service especially difficult, attempting to pass the blame on to me for "expectations". It told them my only expectation was working internet since it had been working just fine for years before. Can they seriously blame me for leaving after giving them FOUR HOURS to resolve then leaving me with ZERO SERVICE? And they're charging me a "rental fee" for equipment that's not even activated? I don't think I would be so bitter if it weren't for the repeated attempts by every person I talked to to blame me ("equipment", "expectations") ... they use the same words so I think they're trained to blame the customer. I still have the streaming premium apps but I'm going to shop around to find a better combined rate for the apps I use.

My first encounter with Jeremy dated back in March 2025 when Ting was laying down fiberoptic cable in my neighborhood. He took time going through all the processes needed to keep my home business running at full internet speeds. He is professional, knowlegeable and customer-oriented!!

Do not risk your internet access with Ting, they are not ready. (Thanks to their local partners)…read more I was really looking forward to having Ting with 2 Gbps fiber synchronous internet speed (Carlsbad, CA). Unfortunately, Ting relies on local partners (local companies) to complete the installation. The fiber conduit was installed from the street to an outside grey box, this was done on time, however more than 10 feet of the conduit is exposed (other reviews talk about this, so it truly is malpractice). A week later, the fiber optic was installed from the grey box outside my home to the modem inside my home. After this, I waited 3 weeks for a local partner to run the fiber optic from the street thru the conduit. I called Ting 3 times, contacted Ting support chat another 3 times and nothing. Ting staff is very professional but they are unable to obtain a firm date from local partners to complete installation. The poor installation of the conduit and the lack of capacity to complete installation, shows a serious dependency on terrible/unprofessional local partners. This is affecting Ting's brand, value proposition and most likely Ting's internet reliability in case of internet downtimes. I have decided to cancel this service.

I spec'd out datacenter grade CAT6A and associated components. Brian's work is very high quality and he was very flexible and always listened to exactly what I wanted. While I connected and labeled the patch cables myself, his home run keystone runs were exceptionally tidy. I would hire him in a second for any future drops.

We have a decent sized house, and the Internet wasn't working consistently to all areas for a few years. The first tech who came out, was here for at least 6 hours and could not figure out what the problem was. The second company I hired, charged me a fee to come out and take a look. He was here for about 15-20 minutes and told me I needed to upgraded my equipment and charged me $200. He said there was something unplugged, which there wasn't. After he left the Internet was still not working properly. I found Simply Wired on Yelp, and boy am I happy camper. He came out for a free consultation, sent me a quote within a few days and a list of equipment I needed to purchase (my old equipment was a few years old and I just wanted to start new anyways). After receiving all the items, Brian came out and set it all up. My 'wire closet' or whatever it's called was so messy and full of old wiring and equipment that we couldn't even close the door. Not only can we close it now, but it looks amazing. He also used some of my old equipment to help boost the signal in certain areas. After the install, I had a couple of questions, texted him and he immediately responded. Brian is professional, reasonably priced, has great communication and smart! Don't hesitate to hire him. I only wish I found him sooner!
