The service is great, my fiancé bought a bunch of magic cards here and they're really informative…read moreand helpful. The selection is pretty good, especially the manga, they could use some more boy love but that's okay. Tom Beland used to work here and I miss seeing him. Definitely recommend getting anything by Brian K. Vaughn. "Y The Last Man" is incredible. The best story of all time. The prices are good and I've been coming here for years. Bigger location now and there's an upstairs! Yay!!

For example: I asked someone for help locating a small amount of cards and all he answered was idk. No effort to check anywhere besides the front glass case, etc. Also the majority of the time this shop has things for sale at scalper prices. Plus they try and push their own product called Vaulted Rarity which is just repacked cards with crappy value, etc . Also, if you try and turn in cards for store credit or if you dare cash value, you're going to majorly ripped off and get a small percentage of what it's worth. I've also ran into a lot of toxic customers here during gaming tournaments not really abnormal for the card gaming community but expect to have them do nothing if issues occur. Parking is not wonderful either with either small parking spaces, illegal parking behind othe cars during release weekends and people racing through the parking lot. If you want to not experience being ripped off, bad customer service, and be in a welcoming environment.... I would recommend going to Harveys in Rohnert Park.

I started collecting baseball cards again in 2019 after a 29 year hiatus. This is the first card…read moreshop I visited after deciding to jump back in. Met Kevin, the Owner, who's been in business since the heyday of collecting in the 80's. He was extremely helpful, friendly, and didn't mind taking time to answer questions, which I had plenty of since the collecting industry had changed so much since I stopped. Over the next 3 years I bought numerous hobby products from Kevin. When COVID hit in 2020, the industry went crazy and caused prices to skyrocket. Kevin remained true and offered prices well below what he could of asked for at the time. I asked him about it and he told me he'd seen numerous highs and lows in the industry, and he wanted to take care of his loyal customers who would always come back. I have a great deal of respect for Kevin, and while I have stopped collecting new cards (I just purchase vintage), I still stop by from time-to-time to say hello. He no longer sells sports cards because the distributors got too greedy, and he didn't want to pass those excessive costs to his customers. He still sells comics though, and he is extremely knowledgeable and helpful with anyone who stops by. It's a small shop and if he doesn't have something you're looking for, he has years of connections and will either find a way to get it or point you in the right direction. If you're in the area, stop on by and take a look. You'll feel welcomed and want to come back. Not enough places like this anymore.

I have been going here for so long, I think I have been through three locations. When I was ever at…read morethe first ones, I was with a parent or grandparent shopping for Magic and Star Wars stuff when I was younger, usually there for single cards which I started buying as a kid. It was really great to have a shop for cards back then as it was a lot less popular and I could pretty much always rely on OP to have something I was interested in. I started getting into Magic again around the time the newest location opened, and it was a cool experience to get into again there. Big celebrity opening, offered way more official events, just seemed like it would be perfect, but nothing ever is. Not that I dislike the store at all, but the consistency of my experience has gone down overall. A good few of the usuals are toxic players here which is pretty sad, but I still managed to start playing EDH here and learned really well mostly thanks to the community upstairs, and I managed to trade in a bunch of Pokemon cards from my childhood collection for a decent price that gave me a bunch of starter capital for EDH and newer Pokemon sets. I have managed to started playing a few games at casual cEDH tables upstairs now but still have yet to do any tournaments. I went from a complete casual player to a collector and enthusiast player in under a year playing there in my free time and the weekends. The events they hold are small but nice and always through official apps to get all rewards available. They also have some kind of event happening almost every single day; definitely over half of the days there is some kind of event. And, despite some of the somewhat valid complaints in general about pricing here, they have fair trade pricing on all new sets of any TCG release, guaranteed and they get their initial stock from the official retailer. They do also buy from customers though who are often times scalpers but they do need to make a profit and the scalping problem isn't their fault. OP themselves generally discourage things like scalping and often have product buy limits. And, through it all, I still manage to get good deals. And the right employees I like there are honest too and they always will honor sticker price on a card, so if something went up that day you will get a steal here. So to people saying the store is just out to make money, honestly, give them a break. Not only have I managed to get cards for like 60% of TCG value for hot singles, they have a huge, ever expanding 3 for $1 uncommons bin for MTG and a $10 slabbed TCG Pokemon card section next to it too now. Just because they bought some things from scalpers to increase their selection doesn't mean they have no good deals but you do have to look sometimes. Also, to the people who criticize their pricing on boxed or new packs or boxes of cards, they can only buy from the retailer once per release apparently. After their initial stock is gone they are really having to rely on other people for inventory just like everyone else. If you really think you'd rather see nothing on the shelf rather than something a bit too expensive, just go to another store; this place chooses to have a huge selection and not limit themselves. There are also definitely members of staff I highly dislike. Just as other reviewers have said, some of the workers treat being asked to find something specific even if it is meant to be behind the counter as a chore. There are good workers there a lot of the time trying to make up for it, but it can be a little disappointing considering the bad times are always pretty noticeable and do lessen the experience of being in the shop. Today I went in for a specific card and they didn't have it, but the employee there I like spent a ton of time looking through the binders in the back of the counter for it and found other things I wanted because they went into the binders. Other times I have asked for something not in the case, I have unfortunately been told, quote "If it's not in the case, we don't have it". You didn't even check your binder, how would you know? So at the end of the day, TLDR, this place isn't perfect but that is honestly because nowhere is. There is a choice shops can make to either buy from customers for stock or not. OP games chooses to keep stock going and keep its shelves stocked with lots of options even if the price has to be a bit higher on some things. The customer service can be pretty hit or miss, but the overall experience walking into the shop is generally quite good. All of that plus they have a great area to play whichever games you want upstairs and a community to play with. I don't think you can ask for much more than that.

Upstairs they hold game playing and I saw a sign that they offer a book club. There was so much to see and the staff was very knowledgeable.

First off, they were so welcoming when we checked in. And I love that it's so pet friendly. Hostess that checked us in was a doll. The inside decor and the layout was so cute. One side is the hostess counter and right across from there is a waiting lounge area which I believe is also utilized for dining. Walking through, they have indoor seating to one side and the bar area to the opposite. Also dining available along the hi top bar counter. We had a big group which they had us set up on the patio. Another beautiful layout. It's like dining in a community garden slash secret garden. Our waitress who took care of us was amazing. So sweet and very friendly. Not just her but the entire staff there. Menu wise looked amazing. Also it was also a recommendation from one of the staff at a winery we were just at. Drink menu was quite huge too. Of course food was on our mind and it did not disappoint. Big group meant a lot of share plates to start off. A double of things ordered to start off. Daily crudo which was served with wonton chips. Fresh fish with all spices and marinaded. It was fresh and delicious. You gotta have oysters if it's available. Curry deviled eggs was quite tasty as well. Your classic eggs with a little twist. Mushroom egg rolls were a hit. It literally came piping hot so it was a little wait till we enjoy it and it was delicious. Came with two dipping sauce which paired very well. Salsa macha fries, similar concept as the elote corn with the coltija cheese, lime creme and cilantro. Brisket can also be added which we opted out for. Then there was the grilled Vietnamese steak with the not so sticky rice in a cube form. Cooked perfectly and the crunchiness of the rice was perfect. Also the dipping sauce was great. Beef brisket tacos were another hit. Two orders and loaded with meat and all the topping. Very flavorful and delicious. Cant come here and not have their almost famous chicken tenders. Big chunks of chicken battered and fried to a nice golden color. It was so juicy and served with pickle chips and dipping. You can have it hot or now with the sauce. Crispy duck confit was delicious. Nice potion of duck with bitter greens and duck fat potatoes. Brazen burger, which was pretty massive. Classic burger but better and with bacon and fries. Then you have the kimchi noodles, added chicken and shrimp or without. That dish was tasty. You either love kimchi or not and the way it was prepared with pasta, delicious. And lastly, the special was a hot ham sandwich I believe. Served with potatoes salad and gherkins. It was a hefty sandwich with loads of meat and cheese. Simply but so good. Food was excellent as we literally had loads from the menu. Of course loads of recommendations which I know why. The food was exceptional and service was great. Restaurant is beautiful and service was excellent. Also they're so pet friendly. Plus, we ordered a dog patty for the pup and it was quite tasty...lol.... Can't wait to come back, hopefully soon. Not sure if menu if set or it changes seasonally. Regardless, whoever is in charge of menu, chefs kiss.
