I had nothing to worry about at all! He had so much fun - he didn't want to leave when we picked him up:) I was able to check Facebook daily to see pictures of him playing with other dogs in the group and hanging out with his human friends. They sent him home with a report card showing his favorite activities, playmates and behavior recap! Charlie had a great time flirting and making pals with everyone, he came home happy, healthy and exhausted from all the fun and excitement!!! What a great place...Thank you Bark Avenue:)

They have doggie pools and tons of area for them to run. The facility was nice and cool when we dropped our dog off to board for a few days. We missed him, but never worried because we knew he was in good hands. I can't say enough about bark Avenue and the socializing and play provided to our pet. I noticed they had some negative reviews on Yelp and that made me nervous but they were quite old and they seemed to have better reviews on Google and Facebook so I went ahead with boarding her there and everything went just fine. The employees all seemed to care a lot about the dogs and knew a lot of breed specific information, and gave her her dietary supplements and played with her. I appreciated the photos they posted to Facebook that showed her having a good time, and that the owner called me and told me how my dog was doing when I asked. The yard is double fenced to make it hard for dogs to jump the fence, and they have a double gate setup for pick up and drop off, and they give you the option of individual or group play sessions. They bathed her and trimmed her nails before I picked her up and she came home smelling good, happy, and healthy. I would definitely board her at Shores again.

That being said I have taken my dog there a few times and honestly was not impressed with with their service. The last time I was there they seemed brain boggled as to me saying I wanted my dogs hair cut short and followed up with confirming I wanted ears trimmed and tail cleaned up. Went back to get the dog and from afar it looked good, so I paid and even left a tip. When I got home and got a good look at the dog, I noticed blatant tuffs of fur that were missed all over the dogs body. The tail wasn't cleaned up and looked like shit. I honestly didn't really have too much faith in this place because they seemed very scatterbrained and flustered with whatever was on their mind. So I will never ever go back to this place seeing I have to clean up my dogs fur from their mistake, or should I say lack of knowledge on how to cut a dogs hair...I guess the tip I paid is how much it will cost me to never see those people again. The long wait for Dapper Dog Wash would have been worth it instead of falling victim to sub par work as i was an idiot for going back more then once.

She loves the owners & their daughters just like they are family & they treat her well! The true test is how your dog act after being in a day care & she is all around much better at Splish Splash because they care. I love that they take pictures daily and I was able to find one of him. I also love that they let the dogs run around ALL DAY. Most places keep the dogs in cages all day unless you pay a premium to have your dog out and about. I also appreciate the option to have him bathed before pickup. On his second visit he ended up with pink eye while he was there. Beyond grateful with how they rose to the occasion. I was immediately notified that his eye didn't look right. They asked if I would like their vet to take a look at him. Same day the vet looked at him, prescribed meds and I was able to seamlessly pay for the service. Upon my arrival back the next day to pick him up they shared with me how to give him his medicine and provided the vets information for follow up. The vet was responsive to my call and extremely helpful. The only not so fun parts is they are old school in booking stays so you can't book stays online and the check in process takes a little bit of time. So give yourself at least 10 minutes to check your dog in if you are boarding him otherwise drop off is quick if the dog is coming for day care only.

On Thursday morning we received a call that he was sick. we picked him up and within 10 hours he died with a diagnosis of infectious pneumonia that exacerbated and he went septic. we requested at least reimbursement for the boarding and some assistance with the exorbitant costs to save his life. Since their insurance denied claim we received no reimbursement not even a sympathy card. No words can express our sadness over the last of our sweet puppy.

I mean, this place has top notch service!! This the best dog grooming place in SE MI. I have lived in the east suburbs, Ann Arbor burbs, and the west suburbs. I have tried many a grooming place out of convenience and I continue to make the trip to Elite because they are just THAT special. Everywhere else I go you get far less for your money. They also have special information cards for each dog that comes there so you basically just have to drop off your dog for the usual and they know exactly what to do. You can tell the place is amazing because when you call for an appointment, they are usually booked up weeks in advance. Take your pets here for their grooming- you seriously won't be sorry. Also, the prices here cannot be beaten either. Best of both worlds!!!
