Beware !!! I would have given zero stars. Please do not trust them with your puppy unless you want them to just shave down your puppy. We asked for a traditional cut for her bread and no our dog was not matted as they tried to say. She had been bathed ever other week and brushed weekly. She also has acted Squamish ever sense the day we took her there so we assume some abuse occurred during the shaving not hair cut we paid for. Took our golden doodle here after the last groomer shaved her. This time we only got a wash and blow dry; no hair cut. Turned out good for our little fluff monster. Smells nice and fresh. Next time we'll try a cut. They were very friendly and a helpful staff. The store had a little area for the dogs to hang out if done early. read more

This is a review of the self service dog wash. Dapper Dog Wash also has full grooming available but I enjoy the bonding time with my pup :) I have been taking my dogs here for years now. The staff is wonderful. The environment is fantastic. They have thought of everything to meet your needs to wash your own pup. Because I have moved further and further to the westside I have tried 3-4 other do-it-yourself dog wash facilities that are closer to home. And I must say not one do-it-yourself dog wash business has received my return business except Dapper Dog Wash (DDW). I will take the 45minute drive and pass up four (probably more than that) closer dog washes to experience the quality and cleanliness I experience at DDW. Dapper Dog Wash has the right tools; right length of the water nozzle cord; right height of the tubs; right amount of CLEAN matching, non-bleached, non-frayed towels; overall cleanliness; right amount of dryers; the best owners and the right staff! Trust me, if you have been to any other do it yourself dog wash then you know what I am talking about and will be mighty surprised and very happy with DDW! The groomers I usually take my dogs to was closed so I decided to try a new place just to get my dogs nails clipped. Typically places usually put the dog up on a table and attach her leash to that tether thing. Not here. One held her while the other clipped. My dog has been getting her nails clipped for 5yrs and amazingly not once has a groomer clipped too much causing bleeding. Here EACH paw had at least one nail that was bleeding! I used the self wash today and it was amazing! My pup had gotten into something horrible but also hates the groomer. The ladies here were so accommodating!!! They explained every step of the self wash. The girl behind the desk made sure I had a strong soap for the mess and a gentle for my pups face. You can wash your dog in the same room as they groom some other dogs. I would never hesitate to leave my crazy pup with them from now on. They seem to have a genuine love for animals. read more

I used to love this place, but their service and convenience has taken a hit. The cost has risen $5 a grooming since last year and they have changed their hours. Their last appoint during the week is 1 pm which is inconvenient as our family is working throughout the day. Only weekend day they are open is Saturday, so their appointments are booked far in advance. Unfortunately I'm now in the market for a new grooming service. read more

In college, I worked as a grooming assistant for a show groomer in Chicago. When I came home to visit my parents and their terrier mix, Cielo, I was discouraged in the lack of good groomers nearby- until I went into Dapper Dog Wash and met Andrea. Since I had been working with a groomer for two years I knew the questions to ask and what to look for in a shop, and Andrea knew her stuff. As our dog family grew, we continued to bring them here. Andrea not only got to know my mom's three dogs, but got to know mine as well as I brought them into Dapper every time I visited home. She has always treated each and every one of our dogs as well as her own, and when our family Pomeranian Owen passed away, she cried right along with us. I have always groomed my Pomeranian, Macaroni, on my own, but when we visited this year from our new home in California I trusted Andrea to be the first person other than me to groom him- and he looked amazing. Now that I am back in California and have recently had my first bad groomer experience, I wish more than anything that Andrea would relocate to the west coast. :) Not only does Dapper have the best groomers, but their DIY tubs are clean and in good shape- and their knowledgable staff is always ready to help should you need it. They have a great selection of toys, high quality leashes and collars, healthy natural treats, and shampoos. In addition to those things they also have a huge assortment of over-the-collar bandannas- which are so good in fact, that I'll be having my parents bring some out for my dogs the next time they visit. read more

What a great place! Same day appointments, open on Sundays, friendly staff, no blood during my pup's nail trim, they even got on the floor with her to do it, and I didn't need an appointment for it! We did the DIY option for our girl, who hates getting baths. She is a large shepherd mix and it is difficult to bathe her at home. We have taken her here several times over the years and it is always a great experience. Today a nice fellow named Brandon helped us out. He was so nice and caring. We were in and out within 15 minutes. Everything is supplied and for $14 it is worth it to save our backs (waist high tubs are so convenient) and the mess of cleaning up hair and water from our bathroom. Good customer service, fair price, and I like that they don't cage the dogs. Never had bleeding nails, one bad hair cut (but who hasn't had one of those) after a year of coming here. BUT I probably won't go back because of extra fees: $5 per dog, per half an hour, after they call you that the dog is ready. (Which they didn't tell me till drop off) There is nothing wrong with them as a business but that fee just doesn't work for me. read more

I'm always worried about taking my dog to get groomed because of his anxiety with getting groomed. Specifically the dryers freak him out; other places always have a hard time drying him and end up putting him in the kennel dryer, which i've heard horror stories about. Dapper Dog Wash was able to blow dry him and only used the kennel dryer for his head, which is a huge deal for my dog! If it was possible to give 0 stars I would. My family brought our St. Bernard up to get groomed, as we have numerous times before. While dropping her off, her behavior and walking we're fine. 4 hours later we got the call that she was done, keep in mind her normal grooming only takes 2 hours. Upon picking her up, she was panting excessively, and whining. She could not move her back legs at all, and would shake excessively if she tried. Staff had "no idea" why that was happening, even after being in their care for 4 hours. We determined that we needed to take her to the vet immediately to seek care. According to our vet, she was made to stand for far too long for her size, weight and age. You would think staff would be educated enough to know the proper handling of these animals! read more
