I recently ordered two flower bouquets for my nieces that are twins. I did the order online and then forgot to ask if they could make them a tad different since my nieces are identical they get grouped together as one more often than not. I ordered an arrangement for my daughter's birthday dinner and requested it to have irises and be a "low arrangement" for a dining table. The woman taking my order said they had "5 irises" and she could add some "purple tulips". When she came back with a price of $74.06 I asked her if this would "be a nice big arrangement for the price". She assured me it would be. The arrangement was delivered and it came in a high vase and was 19" tall at its fullest and 24" at its highest. The vase had a lot of leather leaf and other green leaves, brown twigs and what looks like stems of wax flowers aka fillers to make an arrangement look big. Included were the 5 irises and 4 small tulips. Added bonus, they were all closed. I called the day of delivery and complained about the discrepancies listed above and asked her just what the actual price of the flowers were, she said "$60". An almost $10 fee for a 1.8-mile delivery and tax made up the balance. When I told her I had worked in a flower shop and knew both wholesale and retail prices and that arrangement was at the most $45-$50, she started lecturing me on running a business to make a profit and what would I like them to do? Not make money? I said, "No, I'd just like the arrangement I ordered to be what I ordered." She then gave me her cell # so I could send her a photo which I did and will add later from my phone. When I told her she was a poor example of their shop's customer service and that I had never left a review on any business but I would most definitely be leaving this business a negative one, she hung up on me. I almost didn't take the time and energy to post this but after reading the reviews for this flower shop, I changed my mind. People who are spending $70+ for an arrangement should get what they asked for and were assured by the shop would be done. They also don't need to be lectured by the receptionist on how they make money and then hung up on when told how unprofessional they are. Act like the mature employee that you should be. read more

Flowers, like alcohol, are there during both happy and sad times. So, these flowers were to bring joy during bereavement. The flowers I had received were to have my mother's favorite colors. However, it was clear that the small roses were not even going to open. 10 stars out of 5 for exceptional customer service to make it right. They promised a next day replacement, but so happens they had a delivery today anyway. Within 30 minutes, I had a new replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement was not the same colors, plus other flowers were wilted, and I hated the mediocre arrangement compared to the original. However, I'm focusing on the thought behind it from the sender, and the florist's intentions to address my concern. Another bouquet I'd received was gorgeous though. No complaints there. Each flower was fresh and the arrangement beautifully done. Was this even done by the same person? So in their rush to replace it, they replaced it with a worse product. I'm grateful they tried to make things right though. It's rare to have such exceptional customer service, but the replacement bouquet looked like a supermarket bunch of flowers stuck in a vase. read more

This is the third time I've ordered a flower arrangement for my daughter. I wish I could go in person to order, but living in Maine I have to do it by phone. The person I talked to couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful, made sure they understood my request, and delivered it within hours. My daughter said, "These are absolutely beautiful! With an orchid front and center (one of my favorites) and beautiful spring blooms! A gorgeous bouquet." I asked the florist about the bad reviews and was told that they'd bent over backwards trying to make the people happy, but...usually only the unhappy people post reviews. I don't like writing bad reviews but this place really messed up. Maybe it was just a bad week for them or something. The flower arrangements that were ordered for my fathers funeral never arrived. They were ordered 8 days in advance so there was no excuse. When I contacted them about it, they offered to deliver them to my house. The funeral had already taken place 2 days before! Why would I want them now?! Worrying about flowers is not something that a grieving person needs to deal with on top of everything else when planning a funeral! I have to admit that the flowers for my wedding party, while not the colors I requested, were beautiful and the prices were reasonable. I felt misled that this was a TeleFlora florist and had a lot of trust in this vendor, as a result. As it turned out, working with them locally meant that I had no protection through TeleFlora. And, because my wedding was more than 100 miles from home, my credit card offered no protection either. And, I needed protection. The flower order was amended before the wedding and there were flowers that were not delivered, but no refund was issued. In addition, the flowers in the bridal bouquet were wilting and brown around the edges upon arrival. They looked several days old already and the owner did nothing to try to fix the problem with two hours left. It also included flowers that were not included in the order and a design that was simply not appealing. I was embarrassed to carry it and almost opted not to. If you choose to use this florist, order through TeleFlora or ask to see everything in photographs in advance and every detail in writing from colors, to flowers, to quality, and price. read more

I called this place to order flowers for my wife for Valentine's Day (3 days from today). Ironically, an hour later, flowers were delivered to our doorstep. I was confused, so I called the shop and asked if they had delivered flowers by mistake early. The employee also was confused, and ultimately said "I'm so sorry. What would you like us to do?" That is a direct quote...leading me to believe this was confirmation of a mistake. I chuckled and said..."Well, I'd like for flowers to be delivered to my wife on Valentine's Day." She said "We will get something out to her on Sunday." There was no yelling...no harshness at all...just an acknowledgment of a mistake...which turned out to be a misunderstanding. 15 minutes later I get a call from the shop manager. She immediately ripped into me in an extremely rude, aggressive and accusatory tone. There are only a couple of possibilities here: 1. The employee lied to the shop manager about our interaction and the manager called me in retaliation of what she saw as an injustice. 2. I am a liar, and I'm out to destroy the reputation of a local flower shop for no apparent reason. If 1 is true, the shop manager and employee acted in an extremely unprofessional manner. The employee told me it was their mistake (which it turns out it was not. my wife's dad coincidentally ordered flowers for her today). I didn't even get mad, I just asked them to deliver on Sunday instead. If you think 2 is true, I'd like to ask what the motivation would be for leaving this review...? Flowers are supposed to be a pleasant industry. I called this place and (misunderstanding or not) got treated like a total jerk. That's just crazy. Their website is extremely misleading on the quantity of flowers that you will get when you receive your flowers. This is the second time that I've had issues at this shop. My nephew recently had surgery. I wanted to send him some balloons when he was released from the hospital. I called this store and told them what I wanted and how much I wanted to spend. They lady who took my call asked me if I wanted to add some chocolates to my order and I told her no since he had had throat surgery and I wasn't sure he could eat them.
