Now, I consider myself to be fairly handy guy and am pretty good at working on sprinkler systems when it comes to changing out the heads or replacing pvc pipe, but what I was dealing with in this case, was far beyond my expertise. And the fact that it was raining cats and dogs made for even more dire circumstances. So, given that the new tenants are scheduled to move in within a week, I had act fast. I called a few irrigation companies and emailed more on yelp and thumbtack. They all either said they couldn't come within the given timeframe, couldn't come until the rain stopped or charged astronomically high for the service call (EF Landscaping, $280). One in particular even said they would come and then flaked the day of. I can't even begin to express how irritating that is. If just about thrown in the towel when I received an unexpected call from Brandon, of Precision Total Management (PTM). I'd forgotten about having contacted PTM on Facebook. Brandon said he could be out the next afternoon, despite the fact that the forecast predicted more raining of cats and dogs, and at a service charge of only $125. Now, that obviously isn't the lowest rate, but trust me, it's reasonable compared to what some of the other companies are charging. And again, Brandon came when nobody else would. The next day, Brandon arrived and on time. He walked up and down the front and back yard, examining every nook and cranny, from the valves, to the sprinkler heads, to the piping, to even the backflow preventer, while explaining the process along the way. Once Brandon assessed the extent of the damage that occurred to the system, he got his crew on the job. Surprisingly, the job was done by the very next day, and believe or not, while it was still raining. Brandon actually modernized the system. I have to say I am more than impressed and highly recommend PTM for your irrigation maintenance/repair needs.

The owner was entirely difficult to work with, misogynistic, disorganized with zero project management. Damage was done to our property to include 2 trees that died as a result of their skid steer hitting them and taking chunks out of the trunk. Their sprinkler work resulted in turning our back yard into a swamp and losing $250 worth of landscaping because they failed to tell us they broke a line causing 2 zones to go without water while we were out of town for 5 days. The sod they laid was infested with army worms and we had to rush to lay insecticide. We still lost a quarter of the sod. The owner takes zero responsibility for his work and is disrespectful. To say we do not reccommend this company is an understatement. To protect yourself, ensure you require a project timeline with damages clauses. Do not go strictly off of their quote. They will not follow it.

Their guys were all very kind and skilled at what they did. Our landscape beds look amazing now and they allowed us to enjoy our backyard landscaping again. We would definitely recommend them for any landscaping needs, especially if you have a bigger job like ours was. They are well equipped and capable for just about anything.

Serving in the military and now as a civilian my occupation is contracting, purchasing of services and supplies. I take this practice in my personal life as well. Shopping: Once I decided to have this done (tax return made it possible) I searched and read reviews of all the local companies I could find. I not only read reviews from this site, but from FB, Google, everywhere. I ended up with six of the top companies. Of those six, I had a varied level of experience from phone call to a quote on site. The experiences were mostly bad with other companies. One particular company called and made it apparent he really did not want to waste his time on me but reluctantly showed up. Others were in and out under 10 minutes and gave me nowhere near the confidence that Donnie (ADC) gave me. They seemed to skim through details that I thought were important. There was no personal attachment to their work in fact most did not intend to do the work themselves, but contract it out. It was simply a "how big do you want it? Ok here's your quote." It was apparent their business model was of quantity and not quality. Price: Donnie was on the higher end, but in the end he was much cheaper; more on that in a bit. ADC: In comes Donnie. He was the second company to provide a quote and probably set my expectations way to high because after him, all the others seemed like a waste of time (again this was with his higher quote). My budget was originally 5k for a pergola and a square patio. Donnie suggested I do the pergola myself, even offered to guide me when the time came and spend a bit more on the patio. AHHH!! was my first thought. He's trying to get me to spend all my money..!!! That is until he started talking, and drew out his idea with a spray can. We spend well over a couple hours' just talking, brainstorming ideas. He even addressed how he intended to handle the possible rain water drainage issues. NO other company ever brought this up unless I asked about it. In the end I decided to have Donnie do the work. This decision was based on his very apparent knowledge, and the fact that you could tell he actually cared about his work. I would gladly pay more for those attributes. The Work: During the whole process Donnie went over and beyond to make things happen. He shifted a couple other projects in order to meet my 3yr old's birthday party deadline. He made the patio BIGGER to accommodate some of my very last minute ideas on how I wanted to use the space...for FREE. Then he came back a couple times to make sure the color was what we wanted, and even recolored the firepit boulders that he made.. Oh yeah. That's right, part of the patio is a circular portion with a firepit with concrete fire resistant boulders! pretty darn cool. Donnie refused to take the remainder of the payment until the job was complete and I was satisfied. There are several things you will learn about Donnie: He really likes his job, he likes creating things, he is ALL about satisfying the customer, he does not quit or cut corners, he takes a lot of pride in his work. I promise you will not regret the work he does for you. I forgot to mention on Angies..But Donnie went as far as spending more on materials to build up my landscape to handle the possible drainage issue simply because he didn't want to risk a drainage pipe under the patio that could possibly bred misquotes. L & R Tree Service did an amazing job from beginning to end. I was able to schedule a time to get…read morea quote quickly and they were on time with coming out. I asked about having 2 trees removed including the stumps that were on the fence line of me and my neighbor. They were able to quickly give me a quote and even said there would be no problems moving my fence and putting it back to grind the stump. I had already gotten 2 other bids to compare costs and they were the only ones that mentioned moving my fence to grind down the tree stumps all the way. They also had the best quote. It was a crew of 4 that worked on the trees. I was amazed at how fast they removed all the tree limbs. One of the trees was very close to both me and my neighbor's homes. I was very grateful for the care they took to make sure none of the tree limbs had an opportunity to damage our roofs. I was also really impressed with them grinding the stumps. They didn't try to rush it they let the machine do it's job destroying the tree stumps bit by bit. When they finished all of the work both me and my neighbor were really pleased with the job they did. I was so excited about the trees being gone especially before winter that I sent a few pictures of the before and after to my closest friends and family members. They showed up to do the work order and brought me a truck load of wood chips and then chipped my tree and unloaded. What a blessing!!!!!!
