Great food and friendly service. Worth the stop. BLT was delicious. Sandwiches are large.

Sushi is really good here! I would recommend eating here. The Lillooet Roll is my favourite roll. You can eat in or order to take out.

Spending a second day in Merritt, BC. After a great day at Nicola Lake, getting back into Merritt,…read morepassed by this Japanese Restaurant and gave it a try! Of course first thing is to order a large Sapporo Beer and then slowly check out the menu. This is a Japanese Restaurant that has a family feel, the seating is typical of a Western Style Family Restaurant with booth seating, sushi bar is housed what used to be a Bar. Decided to have Appetizer to share and 2 dinner items: Appetizer: 1 X Chopped Scallops Nigiri $2.95 1 X Spicy Tuna Nigiri $2.50 Both done well and just hit the spot!! Roll Roll Combo: California Roll, Dynamite Roll, House Roll. For $19.95 you get a fairly generous sized rolls filled with lots of fresh ingredients. Salmon Teriyaki : 3 slices of grilled salmon with a big mount of veggies fried Soba noodles. The salmon were done just right and not over cooked. This is served on a hot plate and that makes the noodles piping hot throughout the meal. $17.95 Being in Merritt, which is not as busy as before when they were hosting the Country Music Festival, back when Country Western Music was at the height of popularity, to have this caliber of Japanese Food here in such a small town takes extra effort for the people running the business and for travellers; it offers an alternative to the typical western style restaurants!!

This place is a gem , i was very skeptical getting sushi from this little town but it was delicious…read moreand highly recommended !

We were trying to decide where to eat and walked around and found this little spot. It is small but…read morewe were lucky that we got here 20 minutes after they opened so there was no wait. We notice more people started coming in after 6pm. The food took awhile but we didn't mind since we were able to enjoy each dish and it gave us time to decide what to order next. We ordered the real crab roll and spicy roll. Like others say, the rolls were small and there wasn't much fish. The roll was good but wish there was more fish. I recommend passing on the roll if you are looking to fill up unless you order a few rolls but the value isn't there. We also order the nigiri. This is worth the money. The fish are fresh and very savory. We ended up ordering seconds. We didn't know that they had blue fin until I tried to order my second set of nigiri and was told they ran out of one of the tuna that I was trying to order. Glad I was able to order the blue fin. My kids tried it for the first time and wanted to order more. Highly recommend the nigiri if you come here to eat. We ordered appetizers as well. My kids ate all the gyoza before I can try one so I guess it was good. We also got the tuna tataki. My kids and I enjoyed it especially with the red condiment. Not sure what it is. The other condiment that came with it tasted like ginger. My wife order the sake margarita and I had a little sip of her drink. The margarita was on point. It was fruity (strawberry flavor) but not too sweet and not sour either. You can taste the sake but not as much which is a good thing if you like a mix drink where it's perfectly blended. If we didn't have to catch our shuttle back, I would have ordered this after my beer. All and all, it was a good dining experience. The food does take some time to come but it's not too long. My only disappointment was how little fish were in the roll. Other than that, the food was good. We didn't try the hotpot since the cost was extremely high where they charge for per person instead of by order. Definitely give this place a try if you like nigiri and check if they have blue fin if you do try the nigiri.

3.5 stars for this convenient meal that took way longer than it should have…read more 5:30 pm reservation. Limp shrimp tempura, average yakitori. Really loved the blackened cod. Sushi was fine. Decently priced considering location- but somehow the restaurant with 1 chef seemed backed up... at 5:50 pm on a Sunday.... That being said- I appreciated the convenience of dressing not in 30 Layers to eat dinner :)
