When we walked in, it was full of people stuffing their faces on sandwiches, which is always a good sign. The staff were VERY friendly and helpful, which is nice. This is one of the things I really like about smaller towns. People take the time to chat with you. I had the Monte Cristo sandwich with fries. The turkey was dry, but that's to be expected with breast meat. But the egg infused into the bread reminded me of HK-style French toast. The fries weren't quite crispy enough (maybe a bit raw?) but on the other hand, they weren't dripping with oil, which is a good thing. While eating my sandwich, I noticed several people ordering cherry cheesecake ($5.25), so I gave it a go too. This has to be one of the best cheesecakes I've had anywhere. It had just the right amount of sweetness, and the cherry sauce balanced it out PERFECTLY. This is worth a special mention. You will not be disappointed. One last random piece of trivia: Rogers/Fido does NOT get reception here. But Telus/ Bell does. Take that, Rogers. Overall, a nice alternative to Dina's Place, which seems to have hogged the other 90% of the reviews in this town.

Recently they've started selling some food at Stay Wild in Pemberton as well, which is convenient if I can't make it to the industrial. The Korean BBQ chicken had good flavor, and the fries were very good. Unfortunately, the cheeseburger was disappointing. The burger was quite small and significantly overcooked, which was especially surprising for a restaurant known for its burgers. On the positive side, the service was very friendly and welcoming, and the outdoor patio was a really nice setting. Overall, this was a 3.5-star experience for us. Since half stars aren't an option, we're rounding down to 3 rather than up to 4 because the cheeseburger--the main reason we came here--was such a disappointment.
