My friends had taken me to this place as a "dive bar" and boy was it great!! Service was amazing. Probably some of the best service i've ever had in whistler. Our server, Ashley was brand new and he treated us so well. Attentive, funny and super accommodating. We ordered the poutine, chicken wings and some onion rings. Everything was fantastic. Also ordered a few drinks and was really impressed with the prices. The vibe is your typical bar with pub food. Lots of sports decor and tvs everywhere. They've got a nice patio too. We came here with a group of friends (total of 5 people). We later had two other friends joining us. I got the Cod special burger of the day. The cod was deep fried. It had lettuce, tomato and tartar sauce in the burger. This place was recommended by a friend who lives in Whistler. The burger was very salty and dry. Also the batter was very thick. I didn't really like the burger too much. I had my burger with coleslaw. The coleslaw was tasty. B ordered the Roland burger. He liked how this restaurant had the options of the cheeses. He said the meat was tasty. It wasn't anything too special. The atmosphere of Roland was really nice. They were very short staffed and when we were there we noticed how hard working all the staff were. It is a local bar that is tailored to locals. We enjoyed our time there. Fries were not bad. Great spot for a casual dinner in Creekside! I had a club sandwich (which was delicious, and huge), and a side salad, which was super fresh and a lot better than I expected a pub salad to be. Service was friendly and prices were reasonable. Definitely worth a visit! read more

Friendly service, good alcohol selection and reasonable prices. We've been going to Whistler for a long time and were looking for somewhere new. Decided to give this place a try in the summer and had amazing service and a great lunch on the patio. Went again on College weekend/MLK 2020 and again had amazing service from the same woman (wish I remembered her name). So refreshing in Whistler to have friendly service at restaurants/bars. Vibe was kind of a locals-type bar with darts and TV's. Seemed like a good place to watch sports with lots of TV's but not overwhelming with flashing signs all over the place. Chill and unpretentious. As noted, prices were reasonable and there were food selections for all kinds of palates. Great pub in Creekside just south of Whistler village. Stopped by for lunch. I had the house made veggie burger which was awesome! Side salad with house dressing was delicious. Yes! Experience an authentic Canadian dive bar close to the ski resorts and other hotels! My wife and I were staying at the Nita Lodge and just happened to stumble upon Rolands which is just a brief 60 second walk from the hotel property. I enjoyed a couple of true Canadian ciders and played some free darts with my wife. This pub truly gives you the vibe on how friendly our neighbors to the north can be. We engaged in some great conversation with a local at the bar as well as the bartender. Sure you can find this same dynamic in the states but there is something unique and special about this style of pub in Canada. Such a fun, local bar!! My husband and I stopped in, honestly not expecting much. We stayed at the Nita Lodge just footsteps away. I was hungry or maybe more hangry, being I was 6 months pregnant. My husband ordered their local cider and I ordered their key lime pie tart. No regrets!! That homemade tart was one of the best key limes I've had. And I have high standards for my key lime being an east coaster and sampling the majority of key limes on that coast, including Key West. I love key lime pie so much, my husband and I forwent a wedding cake and did key lime pie. But, I degress.... The best part of Roland's was the darts. So fun to play darts with my husband (they have dart competitions there and Hawaiian shirt day). Roland's Pub is located in Creekside nearby the Nita Lake Lodge. The adjoining French restaurant, Red Door Bistro is popular and well loved by visitors whereas Roland's seems more the choice for locals. They offer a variety of drinks and beers and the pub food that is associated with it. French Onion Soup - actually decent with lots of cheese and served piping hot. Chicken Wings - served with blue cheese dip and heavily battered, these wings weren't quite as tasty and hot as I was hoping. Philly Cheese Steak - large portion size. Went well with the drinks. Overall, Roland's Pub was a solid stop with a convenient location for those in Creekside and both drinks and food with a casual atmosphere to match. Service was friendly and casual. Very disappointed. Called to find out the evening special, it was chicken marsala and a Caesar salad. When we arrived, and ordered it there was no Caesar salad with the dinner. We had to order one separately. Food was not very good, more like noodles with very small pieces of chicken- I mean very small, quarter to half an inch, and very little sauce t Taste was like Campbell's mushroom soup. No marsala flavor at all. We learned a lesson and will be hard pressed to come back again. Was our bo to place when visiting but not now. Entree was $18 each and $11 for salad. One can make as many covid excuses as you want but when every item you ordered has a problem then it's a bigger issue. We ordered guacamole with our nachos. Never came, and when we asked for it it arrived after we had finished the plate. Asked for ranch not blue cheese for the chicken wings. Guess what came. I don't know why Roland's doesn't come up when you search for restaurants? Yes, it's a pub, but they have a full menu and we came back again and again for the food during our trip. The French onion soup was so rich a delicious. I am still craving the green salad, which sounds basic, but it's so incredibly good. The service each time was attentive and welcoming. We went to Roland's after a recommendation from the staff at the Nita Lodge in Whistler British Columbia. They have a very large selected menu which I ordered the fish and chips. You select the type of fish either cod or salmon and it is Roland's special blend beer battered and deep-fried. Jaime had the open faced smoked salmon sandwich which started with toasted rye bread, dill crème fraîche, capers, red onion and topped with arugula drizzled with olive oil. I'll sandwiches came with an option of coleslaw french fries or yam french fries and drizzled with a balsamic syrup. Portions are quite generous and two could easily share an appetizer and a main course. read more

We stopped in by chance when we were looking for Bobs BBQ (next door) and it happened to be closed for the night so we came here. The place was a little dark, crowded and I got the feeling we were the only non-locals there. We seated ourselves and we were served almost immediately. Considering what the place was, I was a little surprised by the food. When I ordered a side salad to go with my burger, I was expecting nasty two-day old wilted iceberg leaves with a sliced tomato. Much to my surprise, it came out with mixed greens, fresh cucumbers and a presentation with wedged tomatoes. It was quite good. My burger was a little disappointing. It was a bit dry and nothing stood out as being exceptional about it. The yam fries were topped with a balsamic glaze. They were quite yummy. Service was meh. Food was better than expected. Overall, I felt like this is a place you go to as a local to hang out, unwind and throw darts...not a place to seek out amazing food. If we are in a pinch and this is the only place opened again, I wouldn't mind giving it another try. read more
