They do not scrub or remove dead skin, didn't clean around my toenails either. So I went in with calluses on my heels and left that way. Gel polish on the toes $25 extra so I went with basic polish. Went to get my acrylic set taken off and they ended up ripping off my thumb nail because they were rushing to get back to another customer. Then afterwards they kept filing that spot and just messing with it even though it was obviously bleeding. No apology or anything and still charged me over $20 (which is extremely overpriced just to take nails off). I had to ask someone at the end for a bandaid since one was not offered to me and still no one acknowledged that they did anything wrong. They also had employees that weren't really doing anything, and they took over an hour to notice my friend was waiting the whole time. I'm really disappointed, because I have been many times to the guy that does nails at the booth by the door and he is amazing!!! My daughter just went and took her 9 yr old cousin with her to get a gel paint manicure, a acrylic full set for herself, and two pedicures for the both of them. She doesn't have the best paying job being a teen and spent 228.00 dollars for her and her cousin (of her own money). She tipped 10 dollars and the lady told her "you could have at least tipped 20", and then immediately started talking to the other lady that was there in another language. I got my nails done here and they were okay... then I opted for a Brazilian wax and I had to request that she not double dip. I had to argue with her about it. She thought it was okay because she had a different wax for the face. I had to tell her 3 times to use the stick once, throw it away and get a new one. Their customer service may not be a 10, but it has definitely improved over the last year! This is hands down THE BEST nail salon in all of Carlsbad/Artesia/Roswell area. I get my pedicures/manicures done by whoever is available, everyone is great really. And Lily, the owner, is so personable, she really makes you feel at home in such a relaxing environment. Although they do take walk ins, I would HIGHLY recommend that you call and make an appointment because it does get packed and the wait does get long. Even calling just 30 minutes before has given them time to prep for me. They're very flexible with scheduling as well! read more

I have been a consistent customer for the last few years. Last week I went in without an appointment and was not greeted or asked what service I needed for over an hour... So for 60 minutes I patiently waited to only to be berated by the man working there telling me I had to wait an additional two hours for a service and that I should have made an appointment. I stated that I understood and just wished he would have told me a little sooner so I didn't wait for over an hour. Today, I called early and made an appointment. Once again I walked in and was not greeted or asked what service I needed. Finally, 15 minutes later they asked what I needed and I stated I made an appointment, only for the man that was extremely rude the last week to start laughing. I have loved this salon but my last few experiences have made me extremely uncomfortable and disappointed. I will also note that the owner/manager appeared to be out of town and have never experienced this type of behavior when she is present. read more

I chose to go based on their website.. BIG MISTAKE! They claim to use disposable linens -NOPE! Kept telling the lady which manicure I wanted. She kept telling me what she was going to do.When told how much my ticket ws there all kinds of extra fees added I was NEVER informed about. Pedicure was less than half what the menu stated. Nails are all filed crooked and uneven plus polish was applied so thick it would not dry but rollrd off like chewing gum and sticky. Horrible experience and one I had saved up for as a special treat to myself. Dont go.... you are better off with nothing than their shaddy work and deceptive charging practices. read more

I never leave reviews but this was the worst nail experience I've ever had. I came in needing a soak off, the person who started me off disappeared for nearly 45 minutes leaving me soaking in acetone. When they realized I'd been sitting for awhile, someone else came to clean off my nails but again abandoned me after I asked them not to cut my natural nails down. Finally, about 20 minutes later someone else came to finish the soak off but drilled and buffed my nails until they were paper thin. Coming out of the acetone my nails were product free and fairly sturdy, but they were ruined by excessive drilling. My tips and nail beds were so thin and damaged that they were bending and folding over on themselves with no effort at all; there was no other choice but to cut them down and put on extensions. I came in asking for a dip powder color but somehow ended up with an acrylic overlay and gel polish. I asked for almond shaped nails and even with my direction, I still ended up with thick rounded tips. After being complete disappointed throughout the entire appointment, I was charged $70. If you're legitimately charging $70 for nail services, your work and service should be immaculate. Unfortunately, the service I received today was far below subpar read more

If you want your nails done correctly, do NOT come here. The whole experience of getting my nails painted with gel polish was horrible. The lady doing my nails filed them extremely uneven, and after telling her she chose not to fix them. I had to grab the nail file and fix them myself. After washing my hands, I noticed the previous colored gel polish I had was still on my nails. I told her and she continued to just paint over the previous color. When painting the new color, there was a hair stuck in my polish. I asked her to please remove it and she didn't. When I tried to do it myself she shoved my hand into the gel polish light. The paint job itself was also very sloppy and I was left with multiple big bumps on my nails. This shouldn't have been a difficult service to have done and I will definitely not be coming back here. read more

They cut off a big slice of my thumb while cutting my nails. It wouldn't stop bleeding. Rather than give me any kind of antiseptic or band aid they applied a styptic pen and sent me on my way. The whole place smelled like solvent too. I left there with a huge headache and a really sore bloody thumb. They didn't even offer bandages to help me clean the wound. Eventually, he agreed to changing the color since there was something wrong with that particular gel polish. The 2nd color looked fine, but he was very rough with my nails. My aunt is visiting from out of town and the lady who was giving my sister a pedicure commented rudely that my aunt was "so loud". She was just excited to have gotten her nails done for the first time because I treated her. Then she proceeds to comment rudely on my sisters nails and how lumpy they looked because she previously had fake nails and her nails were kinda messed up, laughing about them to the lady next to her. I got a gel manicure. Two days later it's chipping. It was bad from the start though. It's crowded and understaffed. They did a super quick job and I told them I didn't like it but they were too busy to redo it. I'm really disappointed I paid $35 and my nails look like a 4yr old did them. My last experience here pushed me over the top to never return. I had already experienced some issues, but I thought it might just be that one time, etc. I had a pedicure done, and two of the nails' colors peeled off in 3 days when I was in the shower. So, this visit, I thought I'd try again and not choose the sparkly nail polish. First, we had an appointment that was made beforehand on the phone. We arrived and still waited 35 minutes due to them continuously sitting new clients. (My mother has been getting her nails done here regularly, so it's not like some random person who might not show.) Next, the guy doing my mother's manicure was filing so fast, that he practically whittled down all of her nails. He cut the side of her toe due to his forceful filing, and she's diabetic. Finally, when she was paying, the owner "Lily" demanded that she pay a $10 tip for her manicure and another $10 for her pedicure. WHO does THAT??? So, I get home and note that my pedicure has only 8 toes painted since my pinky toe nails are pretty small. NEVER have I not had all of my toes painted. Therefore, I will not be returning. I don't live in town, but my mother and sister do, so I know they'll be looking for another spot. This place is truly meant to treat you like cattle and moooove you through as fast as possible.
