We started with two apps Chevre chaud poire pochee and Ris de veau croustillant. Chevre chaud is a little cheese pattie with warm cheese it was served on a little bit of salad. Ris de veau is 3 piece of fried calf. If you want to share your app I would go with the Chevre chaud. I thought the portion for Ris de veau was a little small. Right about now I noticed that everyone around us was getting some warm bread with butter. I looked at the menu to try and see if that was something we needed to order as an app. I did not see it on the menu so I assume it's just given as your app while you wait for your dinner. I got the beef tartar as my main dish. You have the option of picking between a garden salad or fries to go with it. I went with the fries. They are served with some mayo, just like I like it. The beef chart was delicious. Portion are good. This might also be an option if you want to share an app. It comes in two sizes, I got the bigger one. For dessert, I picked a crème brûlée with a cheese platter . Crème brûlée comes with a lovely crust , which I honestly enjoyed quite a lot. It is a very thin layer of crème brûlée with a thicker than usual sugar crust. The cheese platter came with three very small piece some bread and a jam. I would believe to be blueberries. I was disappointed by the cheese platter not because the cheese were bad ones but just because it was a three bite done deal. I would've liked a bigger portion to share. Overall, very positive experience.

When we stepped to the patio, the server said, this is your table...showing us a table for 4. I said..there's 6 of us....so he pointed at a smaller table for 2 and he stood there....so I had to actually move the smaller table MYSELF next to the larger table and make a table for 6. The table ordered a nice Chianti and some great pasta dishes. My husband got the eggplant parmigiana and I got the Orecchiette With Sausage and rapini. Both were excellent. The food was very good. I asked the server for black pepper for my pasta and it never came. One of our friends wanted a cappuccino after dinner and the owner said they did not have milk to make cappuccino, they only had espresso. Kind of odd that a restaurant could not even store a gallon of milk in their fridge for customers wanting some milk in their coffees... I guess I respect the owner's philosophy and way of running his restaurant, but that seemed just a bit odd. Food was great. Customer service was not stellar... That's the only reason for the 4 stars.

Went there with my brother and sat at the bar. Bartender/server whose name escapes me (Eric? Tall dude with curly hair and a stache) poured excellent cocktails, was extremely knowledgeable about the wine and food and kept our glasses full. We ordered the seafood tower, the Crab toast, and the octopus. They were all obscenely good. Good bottle of wine and too much amaro at the end. Got to meet Chuck Hughes. He was super nice and fun to chat with. The rest of the staff, although not directly "responsible" for us, were taking care of business. Helping each other, making others aware of what is needed at other tables, and all trying their very best to make everyone's night as wonderful as possible. Everyone we came across seemed happy to be there. Ownership should be proud. Thanks for the awesome night. We will be back!

We were shown to our table, which was near the entrance in the perfect spot. I loved how they have a curtain at the entrance, so that although it felt like -20 with the windchill, we didn't notice once when people entered or exited. Our waitress introduced herself right away and took our cocktail orders. When she delivered our drinks, she explained how the chef's tasting menu worked and left us for a few minutes to decide which option we would like. We chose 'tier 3' which included a pasta course and extra caviar. Everything we had was amazing, from the seafood tower, to the beef carpaccio, to the hanger steak. It was so much food, we thought we would all burst by the end. The waitress was outstanding and was completely engaged with us throughout the evening. She added so much to our experience. We opted for the wine pairings and she gave us 3 wines as well as an amaro at the end. All in all, it was a meal to remember with a price tag of just under $2,000. Well worth it. We highly recommend this for a special occasion dinner.
