I called in at around 3pm on a weekday and was able to get an appointment right after work at 5:30pm on the same day. Patty Q's review is spot-on. Sok was very sweet and made the whole appoinment a breeze. I asked for a simple trim with long layers and shorter bangs, and she gave me exactly what I was looking for. She stopped every couple of minutes to have me check where she was cutting and make sure it was what I wanted. She recommended a couple of products and asked me about my usual routine but was HELPFUL, not pushy. I liked her so much that I asked if she had time to do my eyebrows, which she did. I always drive by this place, and was only brave enough to check it out based on the rave reviews on here. It's been a little over a year since my last hair cut. Hair was getting long and summer was fast approaching, so the short do it was! I had someone I trusted back in Florida to cut my hair. I have thick unruly hair, and it's hard to find someone that doesn't gripe about how much more hair they have to cut. It was a huge relief to find that the hair dresser here knew exactly what to do with mines from her experience cutting hair like mines. She was very friendly and wasn't trying to usher me out. Nor did she get me to buy anything other than what I came in for. I had a great experience here, and came out looking fabulous under $20 bucks. Exactly how I specified my new look. After a few appts, they are lax on the customer service. Each time they get later and later from my appt time. So I went in for a facial, and I should have known from the other times, but she likes to tell you she will add another product, or put more lashes..but she doesn't tell you that She will gouge on the prices until you've spent $200 ... Do NOT Get the Japanese Hair Straightening... you won't get your money back either. I got the Japanese hair straightening done by Sok twice which I liked for the price. I went back for the third time and found out Sok no longer works there. So the owner Lynn did it instead. She basically "fry" my hair. After washing for the first time, I was so mad. Not only it's not straight but my hair got so damaged especially on the surface and by the neck. Since it's pretty much all the way to the top of the hair, I can't just cut the damaged portion. I have to wait for at least a year or two for the healthy hair to grow. I went back and asked her if she could do anything about it. She gave me the oil treatment for free and offer to do it one more time. But it doesn't change the fact that she damaged my hair. The failure of the Japanese straightening can't be fixed with the oil treatments. I tried to deal with it for about a month. I hate looking at my fuzzy hair everyday. So I went back to ask for the refund. She refused to give me my money back. I wish there were other customers to see how she treated me. Awful.... I will never go back there again.... read more

On prom day, I went to get my make up done here.The environment was comfortable. Although it was my first time receiving false eye lashes, she gently put them on and my eyes burned a little. When she curled my hair she did not use a curling iron.. She used a certain device that made my neck and the rest of my body uncomfortable. My makeup was well done. If you're thinking about getting your eyebrows microbladed here, please consider this review.. Please ask her for before and after pictures of HEALED eyebrows and NOT pictures from right after the procedure was done! Of course it will look beautiful minutes after the procedure was done!! Totally misleading. Save your money plus a little more and go somewhere else. I feel like she robbed me of my $200 but you get what you pay for. I'm not sure if it was just my skin type (oily), but I got the procedure done 6 months ago and they've faded so badly that it doesn't look like anything anymore. The color looked nice the first few months, but I think that was only because of the tint she puts on it and not the ink itself. The ink now looks noticeably lighter than my natural eyebrow hair colors. I have to fill in my eyebrows as I did before I had this done. Literally just handed over $200 for a tint and not micro blading. Other than that, Lin was a very nice lady and her customer service was great. She listened to my opinions and made corrections/additional hairs where I wanted but other than that, I am ultimately unhappy with my services. read more

This place is awful . The lady in the front did my eyebrows and didn't listen too what I asked for . When she was done I told her the were not right and one was way different than the other she insisted that I was wrong and said I had to come back if I wanted them fixed ... when I went back the second time she was late getting there , I had too wait on her . Then she begins to tell me she made them the perfect shaped . I kept telling her the ends were different band one arch was higher than the other but she insisted I was wrong . Oh and let's not forget about the brow color . I took a picture of exactly what I was wanting shape and color . She looked at it for about two seconds do and then did her own thing . Needless to say after two months by eyebrows we're turning grey instead of brown ... do not recommend this place at all ... read more

My eyebrows disappeared due to a medication I was on and it was pretty disturbing. I lived with no brows for years and contemplated permanent makeup, but was afraid, it's permanent! A friend recommended Lin Vu to me a couple of Months ago, and I am so pleased to be one of Lin "eyebrow ladies." What a difference! The look is completely natural. I've been going to this salon for years now. I like it because the prices are really reasonable. Also, I've been to the really high end salons in this area (Wine and Roses, Southern Exposure, etc) and their prices are like quadruple and my nails didn't turn out that great (uneven, jagged, cuticles didn't get trimmed). However I must say those high end places are nice to go to when you have a spa day out with your girlfriends and want to pay for the ambience and just chill out. For the normal everyday stuff though, Danvi Salon is AWESOME! You get in and out service and you don NOT get the hard sale. No one trying to give you some BS French manicure or hot parafin wax or extended arm massage, etc, etc, etc. It's true you always have to make an appointment because there's only 2 people working there. But I'd rather be told on a walk-in appointment what the TRUE wait time is then wait around for hours thinking is it my turn yet???? Great place to go. Will continue going there. read more

After so many great reviews I decided to schedule an appt. to get my hair done with Sok. She was bout 5-10 mins late which was fine. Then she was quick to get thing started...she started asking how I would like my hair which I like it layer n trimmed .... it wasn't the best but it is better then average 7.5/10 . Being that I was busy that day n have a wedding to attend the next day I decided to get color done there. Whoaaaaa what a mistake!!! For coloring (1 color) NOT highlighting or anything I would expect no more then $60 but when it was over I was charged $20 for haircut n $80 for just 1 color. I was shocked! This place has no heater, I was freezing just sitting there getting my hair done cuz they were so cheap to turn on heater! It's not a nice or even above average place to be charging a whooping $80 for a hair dye. Haircut was alright above average and color ok but I wouldnt go back again. Feel so rip off n I was too shy to say anything and even give her a big tip. Lesson learned always ask the price before getting anything done!!!!! read more

I've never been upset after getting my hair cut in such a long time. I'm very particular about my bangs. I told her that I liked my bangs swept to the side, at an angle. She cut them straight and short (above my eyebrow) so there's no way to fix it without making it shorter. I should have showed her a picture or something. I felt like she didn't really understand or listen to how I wanted my bangs cut. She kept telling me it's better straight. This is not how I wanted my hair cut. I think this is what I get for trying to save money by going to a cheaper salon. Also, they don't wash your hair. I'm never going back. read more

I was in town the other day and found this place to get eyelash extensions. I do not recommend this place to do the job. The lady who does them is inexperienced. She put the extensions on WRONG (anybody who has experienced this knows the pain). It felt like little needles poking my eyes every time I blinked. I knew while she was applying them something was wrong so I told her that it was uncomfortable multiple times and she said that I that I had sensitive skin. I payed and left. An hour later I just couldn't put up with the irritating feeling around my eyes. I went back to get them taken off and she was super rough and rude about it. read the reviews, came here for a false lash extension in preparation for a wedding. this was my first time; got the recommendation from the owner. the lashes came out horrid - as fake looking as can be; as if 2 giant catepillars are sleeping on my eyes. as soon as I saw them, I requested the owner to fix it. her reply: it suppose to look like that because your lashes are small, cannot make bigger. now, logic at this point dictates that if you were selling a service that promises "eye lash extension", wouldn't it means that you are suppose to make something "small"/short to bigger/longer? I left without tipping. on the drive home, one side started falling out. I took the other side off as well. called the owner to complain. got an earful: you not suppose to rub eye, everybody I tell don't listen, you come tomorrow I fix. I came the next day to ask for my money back, she replied: no money back, I fix. the second time around turned out just as horrible as the first with the bonus of my eyelid stinging from the previous day's removal of the eyelashes. this place sucks!!! read more

i like this salon, but i just don't like how they don't accept debit or credit cards if the cost is less than 10$! so i got a haircut with an eyebrow wax there. the eyebrow wax was cheap, only 8$! : ) the worker (there was only about two) is nice, but she doesn't seem to understand english well....she waxed my eyebrow as she was talking on the phone..o_o i really don't care because it was hands free but that's sort of a turn-off! anyways, i really like how this salon offers lots of different services and we're able to make appointments! plus its really cute inside! i've been to lots of asian salons and have family that owns one and i think this one surpasses them all : ) i'm likely going to go back because i'm satisfied with what i got at a low price...although i thought my eyebrows could've been more shaped. anyways maybe it'll receive higher ratings the second time!? edit*** went a second time. they JACKED UP THEIR HAIRCUT PRICE TO $20. i always have to set an appointment...which kind of bothers me because there appears to be always ONE hair stylist and ONE customer yet when I come in, there's not much time. I have experienced better price-wise. The second hair cut I got I HATE IT..it was way too thinned out..and I thought the stylist would know better since she kept talking about how my hair would be too thin for the A-line.
