Update: Kim just moved to a new space. It's so cute and cozy! Kim is the only lash artist in Stockton that provides volume lash extensions! Volume lashes are light individual lashes that are feathered out at time of application, sometimes it's two lashes sometimes even eight. They are not pre-made and done painstakingly one at a time. Given this technique, only a few lash artists provides this service. Do not get this confused with cheap cluster lashes! I've had volume lashes for over a year and always get complimented on how full they look. I'm so lucky to have found Kimberlee in Stockton, my volume lash fill was exceptional. I've been to a few artists and I've seen many different techniques to know who's good. First, they always clean your lashes and adhere to strict sanitary rules. If an artist doesn't clean your lashes then you should seriously consider leaving. Second, they take their time applying the lashes, if they're done in 30 mins, then go somewhere else. Quality lashes take time! Third, they use a neubulizer to cure your lashes! Not many do this but its an essential step and makes your lashes last longer. The prices Kimberlee charges for a full set of Classic & Volume are so reasonable. I've paid 3x more in San Francisco. If you want quality lashes done properly, you should book Kim. Kimberly does a fantastic job! I receive so many compliments about my eyes since I've had lash extensions put in. The initial cost is a little high but oh so worth it. I really don't know where to begin with this review because everything about Kimberlee and her work is wonderful. I've been a loyal client since 2013 and have never had a bad experience. My lashes look beautiful every single time and not to mention, Kim is very sweet and professional. Update: Mel immediately reached out to me and offered to have me come in and fix whatever I didn't like about my lashes. This meant a lot to me and shows how classy they are as a business! --------- My review has very little to do with the actual service (which was very nice, clean, and comfortable) and more so that I just didn't end up with what I expected. As a first-timer I guess I expected more of a consultation before hand? Maybe someone to help inform me what would look the best with my eye/face shape. I showed a picture and felt that mine came out looking much different and much longer than I expected... And without the taper I had asked for. I know they're extensions but they didn't seem to fit my face at all and I think it was a little obvious. I actually came home and had to hold back tears so I wouldn't ruin them lol. Honestly I just wish I had more guidance, even tho I had done a ton of research. No fault of anyone who runs the place, it really was a good experience until I came home and had time staring at them. Love the way Mel does my lashes, she's great I drive all the way from Modesto. But as far as relaxing like it states... far from the case quite a few times I've been. Myself and another client were speaking in the waiting room agreed as well. I don't if it's because the boss is gone but after 4:30 it is far from relaxing. The gals, In the back room to the right, to the left of the reception area, and receptionist are loud. Even with the door closed it's very inconsiderate. That needs to be addressed. It's like going for a message and it sounds like your at a fraternity party. ( oh I hate working out at the gym, my husband this my husband that , he lost 100 lbs etc...) shoot I'd just like to RELAX PLEASE. Please address your staff keep it professional and toned down. Not only was it so hard to make an appointment with her she was lightweight rude and her work was like 30 min and under. why am i explaining her? the moment i met kim She not only accommodated me for my first appointment at like what 8pm/9pm lol she cleaned my lashes which the girl at salon avanti did not ever do so i was happy knowing she was clean . and she took her time and made sure it was PERFECT! i not only love Kims work but the fact that she cares for her clients and makes sure we are doing our part by cleaning our lashes at home ! her lashes are soooo fluffy and they do not bother my eyes at all! i would highly recommend her to EVERYONE! I had my lashes done and had a reaction ...had been doing with for few months. My lashes was done to close to my eyelid that cause me to have reaction ...itching which lead to redness and swollen upper eyelid.
