I had had to remove a door from its frame to get a new washer into my laundry room, but underestimated how difficult it would be to line up to reinstall. I also needed some help getting a new wind stop/chain installed on a swinging screen door in the basement. They were the only service I reached out to who asked for specific details about the jobs before providing a quote, which is a great way to do business. They also provided a real time of expected arrival instead of something like a four-hour window taking up your entire day. They arrived a little before the time quoted with two people - one the main handyman and one being trained. They did a prompt and excellent job and the cost was very fair. I had an excellent experience with this company. To begin with I screwed up by giving them the wrong phone number. The communication was very good at alerting me to the fact that the Handyman was waiting to get into my building. Lina was communicative before the commitment, answered a call to take all of my questions. Also communication about pricing was clear, selecting a service date, reminder of the service date, and even after the job was done with an e-receipt. There were no surprises. My tub/shower surround caulking (remove old caulking and replace) was completed well, by a handyman who was prompt to his scheduled time, performed the job with care. No slop, no mess left behind. The handyman didn't waste time. Overall, the total cost was exactly in the price range Lina originally quoted, so I was happy for that too. Do not consider this company. I spent an hour explaining the work to the man that came to my house and they sent me a $3400 quote, then a week later said they made a mistake and now it's $6000. What a waste of time and a terrible experience. These people don't communicate well either. The questions I had weren't fully answered. Basic info such as timeline and type of paint was not given. Never called me back. Idk. Found someone else. The guy had a language barrier. Was a very nice guy, but it felt confusing and concerning. Our project was very complex. It was challenging and we weren't sure but I guess they don't have someone easier to communicate with and that's why they never responded? Guess we will never know. read more

Read the yelp reviews and submitted a request for job estimate to open unused space under stairs in townhome. Within 2 days I got a visit and less than 24 hours later a very reasonable estimate. We discussed some options and I think we made the right decision with Lina's advice. This was exactly what we requested. We now have a lots of extra storage, and added value to our home. The craftsman arrived on time, was friendly, professional and was meticulous about his work. He even went and color matched the paint on our garage wall, touching up the fine details. Our neighbors were so impressed they will likely call for a quote. They are coming back next week to finish the inside of the storage area and to cover the insulation. Will post more photos then.
