Things went well for several years. Then things changed. In the last few years, I have been treated disrespectfully by their bookkeeper and at least 2 other employees. My loved one's PCP prescribed necessary medical supplies - some very personal. Someone at Diamond unilaterally began sending one half the number of certain supplies prescribed by the doctor - without even telling me. Also, the bookkeeper called and interrogated me about how many of certain items we had in the cupboard. They seemed to be making inappropriate judgments about how many we use. I was in the position of explaining to her why we use the number that the doctor prescribed. They also refused to send supplies because they apparently decided that my loved one is in a nursing home and not in my home. He was in a facility for a few months 10 years ago. Not since. I am a retired diplomat and attorney. I have a fairly thick skin. However, on more than one occasion I cried as a result of phone calls with them. IMHO, someone(s) has an issue with people who receive Medicaid, since the items they were so worried about are those paid by Medicaid. People who are elderly and disabled have a rough time - as do their caregivers. They deserve to be treated with respect. Period.

As a hospital case manager in Las Vegas, NV, I work with quite a few DME providers in order to…read moreobtain the necessary equipment for patients to ensure that they can have a safe discharge home. This isn't always a quick or easy process. Often, the difficulty is in making sure patients receive the right equipment and at the right time. I've had times where a patient's insurance is also an issue as the equipment has to come from a provider that's "in-network" and that has the equipment on hand to even provide. I recently had a most challenging patient and discharge that was not only discharging, but was doing so to Arkansas. I previously contacted a provider that was "in-network" and they kept requesting more and more and had me going round in circles and at the end of all that, I was told they couldn't deliver to Arkansas in time for patient's discharge. Thank God, I decided to contact this Apria location and had the good fortune to get a hold of Sharlet. From states away and through different time zones, Sharlet worked with me step by step. She definitely went above and beyond, even working on the weekend when she should've been off, to ensure that the patient got everything she needed. Even after the patient had to change her flight last minute, Sharlet didn't let it faze her. At the end of the day, we we're able to get the patient ALL of her needed equipment, including a wound vac that was added late in the process. It was all delivered so that once the patient landed, she didn't have to miss a beat with her needed equipment. If I haven't said it clearly enough, I would HIGHLY recommend Apria Healthcare especially if you also get the opportunity to work with Sharlet. She was amazing and was definitely a pleasure to work with. If I EVER have a patient going to Arkansas again, there's absolutely no doubt in my mind who I'm calling to work the case with me. Thank you soooooo much Sharlet. I hope anyone that's even considering getting medical equipment will at least give Sharlet a call and watch her exceed your expectations.

I offered to pay the entire amount up front but they wouldn't have it. Now I know why. They don't bill each month, they don't keep up with how many payments you have made, and they call you more than the Red Cross. Their "customer service" is usually someone that you can't understand on the phone....best guess is Pakistani. I have made my 10 payments and owe them nothing else...yet they are still billing me for two more payments. I have told them NO for last time.
