It's eclectic and book-ish, with shelves lining the walls and cocktails inspired by favorites! There was a good mix of tables and space to mingle. It was great for the type of event we were at. I'd love to come back again sometime. I was also very happy to see a mocktail menu and am glad many places are moving in that direction. For my mocktail, I tried the Practical Magic (lavendar, house sour, orange bitters), and it was delicious - almost like a sparkling lavendar lemonade. I wish I could have tried the Secret Garden (prickly pear, lime, orange), but they were out of the tequila alternative, and I hadn't thought to sub in real tequila at the time. For my cocktail, I tried the Lavendar and Lace, mostly because I was intrigued by the egg white foam. This is a gorgeous drink to look at and equally to enjoy. It's a bit sweet for my usual liking, but it was delicious none the less.

The event was catered, and there was enough seating for everyone to few comfortable. The people who own the place were very helpful and friendly, kept up with the flow of drinks, cleared the dishes promptly from the tables without interrupting the flow of our party. Great memories!

"Good for large fundraisers, dances, & weddings."…read more As I am writing this, Yelp has an incorrect listing for this building. It is actually located at 201 N. 7th St. in Lincoln's Historic Haymarket District. This location is good for large fundraisers, dances, & weddings. It is part of an historic train depot , which has since been turned into a Great Hall. It's run by Premier catering. According to their website: - Located in the Haymarket - Beautiful Marble Floors - 19 Foot High Ceilings - Seats up to 425 - Total Meeting Space - 6,100 sq. ft. - Total Number of Meeting Rooms - 1 - Food/Beverage Capabilities - Yes - Total Number of Sleeping Rooms - 0 Photos & a floorplan are also available here: http://www.premiercatering.net/lincolnstation.htm I've been to many different events here, & they all seemed to run smoothly. TIPS: - For out-of-towners, several nice hotels are within walking distance (even in 4" heels - just watch the cobblestone!). - For newlyweds - the Haymarket is a favorite place for outdoor wedding photos. - Bring cash. If there's an ATM inside, I can't find it. - If you're early to an event here, walk a block north & check out the water tower courtyard, brick relief of a train, & the old "retired" trains behind the building. There's also a train jungle gym for kids who need to run out some energy. - Excellent locally breweed beer & homemade ice cream next door, at Lazlo's & Ivanna Cone, respectively. - Use the south doors on the east side of the building. (next to the bronze guy on the bench) The entrances to the ballroom are often locked on the other side during events.

The server told us that some of the meat is raised by the restaurant, and some of it is brought in from somewhere else (I forgot where though) The service was great and everyone was really nice. Right away we were greeted, my coat was taken and we were seated. We came pretty early in the evening and there weren't many people in the restaurant. I was disappointed to have been seated at a 4 person table in the middle of the room while there were plenty of smaller, two person tables more tucked away which would've offered a more intimate experience in my opinion. We started with the Burrata and M.D. Polenta. The burrata was as you'd expect but the Polenta was my favorite dish we ordered. It had so much flavor and basically melted in your mouth. It was even better to add it on top of the focaccia and burrata! For our main courses I ordered the Tajarin Dalla Forma. It was a fun experience to have them come to the table and spin the pasta in the cheese wheel but I wouldn't say the pasta was anything exceptional. Honestly, it tasted just like Annie's boxed white cheddar Mac and cheese. My boyfriend got the NY Strip (it was $83) and he said it was the chewiest steak he had ever had. It was cooked medium rare as he had requested but there was literally no explanation for how chewy it was. He makes better steaks at home on the stove top. The lobster tail I will say was the best lobster tail I've ever had. Overall, the service was great but the food wasn't worth the price you pay. If you're looking for a good steak, this isn't the place to go. I also disagree with friends and family, this isn't the best restaurant in town. Highly recommend DISH if you're wanting a high end dinning experience
