I've been going here for about 8 years. I used to have issues with the office staff, but I haven't had ANY issues since Dr. Scott McNairy took over. All of the staff have been nice and helpful. Dr. McNairy is great! The hygienists have all been great. I even had an issues where I was misquoted for an appliance and Dr. McNairy ate the cost that I should have owed. They have up to date tech and he's great. The old ratings really should be deleted since it's different from years ago. Just sayin'. read more

I really appreciate that when you need a crown you can get it done in one sitting. No more prepping the crown then returning for another appointment to have the crown fitted. It's great you can get it all done in one appointment. I think Lincoln Place Denistry uses a lot of advanced dental techniques which is an advantage for their patients. read more

HIPPA VIOLATORS and NO customer service what-so-ever! I made an appt for our three yr old back in early Oct for a Dec appt. I gave her, (the 18, maybe 19 yr old office manager- while filing her nails all my insurance information and everything she asked for and said she needed in Oct. she called me one hour prior to our scheduled appt asking for our 3yr olds SS# and if I didn't have it right then and there she'd have to cancel the appt the we had scheduled over two months prior. I was at work and had planned my work schedule around this appt. of course I didn't have the ss# with me and she told me we had to reschedule and the next available is in early March! Yes, I was upset and tried to explain my frustrations that she had over two months to get this information and you wait one hour prior to ask? The young girl that kept proudly saying she was the office manage doing the best she could but regardless will still have to cancel and reschedule. (Doesn't speak to highly of the dr allowing this kind of behavior) anyways, I asked to speak to the dr and tried to explain to her that I'd prefer not to schedule another appt that I had taken PTO and worked everything around this appt and shouldn't have to wait two more months because her receptionist was incompetent, (that's absolutely the worst I said) and dr flipped out on me saying "i will not allow you to talk this way about my employee" and then she hung up. She then emailed me all my husbands and I's medical records and told us to go elsewhere for our dental needs. My husband didn't have a clue what was going on and when he found out she dismissed him as a patient and sent his records, without any consent verbally or in writing from him, he was beyond upset. When he called voicing his concerns, they were not kind at all. They have no HIPPA knowledge at all because Dr Herzig not only sent his medical records to someone else without consent, but then had her billing manager, (another young 18-19 yr old) call MY CELL and leave a detailed message on MY voicemail regarding the balance of almost 200 bucks for 1 filling! AND that's after our insurance paid a few hundred. I'm in total disbelief of the customer/patient service here and lack of legal knowledge and laws. I would NOT recommend this dentist at all. Seems that the Dr and entire staff is not educated much and all very unethical. ************ ******* thank you to the Lincoln place for responding TWO YEARS later! Laura (I can't even bring myself to call you a Dr lol) but YOU decide to respond this late in the game? I would LOVE TO see your fradulant paperwork you say we signed! I was a hippa officer and you and your staff vialoted our rights, PERIOD! please provide this said proof you have and ill ensure my attorney gets it. Sorry your business is not doing well that you spent the entire day writing a fradulant book to my review. You and your staff are a joke and your constant LIES are actually quite humoress. I sincerely wish that I had checked Lincoln Place Dentistry on yelp before going. Reading the posts here completely validated my recent unprofessional experience with Dr. Herzig and her office. Do not let the surface aspect fool you. It is a great location, nice office furnishings and a pleasant enough staff, but that is just the surface. So for those reviews that are positive, I would say just wait. I went for several years and thought that it was a "good" dental office experience. But then I had a truly confounding and disturbing experience this past week with Dr. Herzig and her front office staff. (FYI the hygienists are great!) Also I would like to add that I have NEVER felt compelled to write a review on-line for any misunderstandings, or unpleasant experiences I have had at restaurants, or salons, or for the numerous healthcare providers that I have seen in the past. That all changed last week. And like I said the other negative reviews on here were such a relief, because it confirmed that this is not just me. Many of the complaints echo some of the same experiences I had. First off when I called their office to discuss the bill that I received within 2 minutes the gentleman at the front desk said I quote, "We will be happy to write-off the charges, but you will need to find a new dentist." As I see from various other reviews that is the extent of their conflict resolution policy there. To be fair I don't think the gentleman is "rude" as other reviews have stated. He is simply so monotone and dour in any and all interactions, which is not a critique of him as a person, but his disposition is simply not suited for customer service. I was charged for a missed appointment, that I actually showed up to!! The appointment could not go through because the office a) failed to inform me that recent X-Rays done at a periodontists office were required for my first ever scaling and root planing procedure and b) failed to communicate to me that they were having trouble obtaining those X-Rays from the periodontist office, or so they claimed. Dr. Herzig never came out to speak to me directly on that day, but she did find time to personally bill me for that appointment after I left. The next day I received a bill with a $75 dollar fee for a "missed appointment" on that specific day. When I called to contest the charge as I said, immediate response from their office was find another dentist. The office then consulted with Dr. Herzig and same thing- she said no find another dentist! I was flabbergasted! But the guy at the front desk encouraged me to write an email to her to state my case in detail and boy what a mistake that was! The best word to describe her is passive-aggressive. She tries to take a professional tone, but there is so much condescension and utter unreasonableness in how she responds. I received another nasty-gram from her office today via regular mail stating I was dismissed from her office for "unacceptable and inappropriate" conduct. The pure conceit of assuming I would ever trust her again with my dental care, is just astounding. I appreciate drawing a hard-line with missed appointment charges, but not when the reason for the missed appointment was the offices ineptitude, not the patients. Also the hygienists there were the ones that told me that I was in the midst of a true periodontal disease process, not Dr. Herzig. One hygienist slipped me the names of some periodontists after Dr. Herzig said everything "looks good" and walked out after the exam portion. The next hygienist I saw was the one who recommended the scaling and root planing to address the disease NOT Dr. Herzig. Dr. Herzig just wanted to up regular cleanings to 3 to 4 times a year. When the hygienists are giving more sound advice than the dentist, then yes maybe it is time to find a new dentist. read more

I had a cleaning done in December 2018 on the very day that the office was being turned over to a new dentist and team. I had new insurance coverage so the young man at the front desk, acknowledging that the office was in chaos, suggested that I also send a copy of my insurance card to an email that he provided. I heard nothing else until April 2019 when the new office people billed me. I took my insurance card in and the billing specialist assured me that everything was fine and covered. I have since been billed by this office repeatedly with the statement that it had been too late for the insurance to pay.... as if I should pay for their mistake! Do not go to this incompetent and unethical office. read more

Good until you have an emergency and need some dental advice. Dr. Herzig put a crown on my daughter's tooth last year...not sure of exact date, but the crown is only about a year old. Crowns should last at least a few years and up to quite a few years. Dr. H. indicated that the last crown put on by our previous dentist was not good work and that she would fix it properly. That one had been in my daughter's mouth for several years. Today, the crown Dr. H put in (only about a year ago) came out and was dangling on her braces and we didn't know what to do. I called the office and a man answered. I was first told they no longer accept our insurance and I said that was OK since we needed the tooth fixed ASAP. Next, he said there was no way they could get us in until the 22nd (today is the 15th) and if that didn't work we could find another dentist. WHAT? I then asked for help on what to do with the dangling tooth and the pain if they couldn't see us until the 22nd and again was told we could find another dentist. I ended the phone call and then thought about what happened and called back to ask if I could speak with Dr. Herzig. A female answered and started out polite as I relayed what had just happened. She said she would ask Dr. H for me (what to do about tooth) and get back to us because Dr. H doesn't do callbacks to patients. She also stated that they are trained to tell people to find another dentist. That is an odd thing to tell patients. I said I was fine with paying without insurance and all I wanted was advice on what to do until they could see us and I kept being told we could find another dentist?? EDITED: We just got a call back from the receptionist stating that Dr. Herzig saw this review and that we can go find another dentist. She said something "about no mutual respect". What? We were given no respect as clients of this practice. I cannot believe the response we have gotten from LPD. I brought my whole family there for dental care, paid our bills on time and recommended our friends and this is how we are treated when we needed their help during a dental emergency? read more

Dr. Laura Herzig has been our dentist for several years. Her staff is consistent and professional, and her skills are great. We have been completely happy with our care here. She has never left us uninformed about what needs to be done. Her prices are fair, and she always has worked with our insurance company. Being in the military, she has always filled out additional paperwork for me when I've needed it. Bottom line, she's a great dentist! read more

I was a patient for a year and really had no problems with the dental staff or dentist. The office staff however are horrible and have no idea how to bill correctly and customer service is foreign to them. I was treated so rude and disrespected by the office staff to the degree I decided not to return as a patient. The young woman there refused to let me talk to a manager and said I could only talk to her or the dentist. I have never received a call back from the dentist to share my concerns and the office staff acted as though it was no big deal to lose a patient. We chose her after reading reviews from others and came away from each visit enthusiastic that we had made the right choice. Her state-of-the-art office is well-appointed with the latest equipment while Laura & her staff are highly-professional, courteous and considerate, always asking about our comfort during a procedure. Her office hours include weekends allowing those with tight schedules access to care that would otherwise mean taking time off from their work. Her manner is impeccable. From the moment she sits down on her stool until she removes her mask & gloves at the end of a procedure, you are confident you've had the best care available anywhere. The staff works some tough hours to help out working people. Everyone there has been accommodating whenever we need to change or adjust an appointment. I have put Dr. Herzig through the paces with my anxiety and various dental issues. I am 58 and she is the first dentist to put me at ease in the dental chair. Her techs are awesome and professional. Any time I have had a question or concern the staff has gone out of their way to help me find the answers I need. I have the highest respect for her as a dentist. I have the highest respect for her staff. There is not a better Dental office around. read more

I went in for a cleaning and the dentist said that they wanted to take xrays. I told her that I just had a full set of xrays done not too long for ago and I could get them. She said that they prefer to do their own. She saw a couple areas that need attention and said I should take care of it before the end of the month so it would be covered in this year of insurance. I got the work done on the 30th of december as requested and then a few months later got a bill for full price on 1 of the fillings. After speaking with insurance about it they just repaired a chipped filling another dentist filled not too long before. insurance didn't cover it because the other dentist would have repaired it, but doctor herzig didn't want the records from the past dentist so she just decided to do the work herself and charge me full price for it. she told me to call the dentist that did the original filling and have her pay it. I spoke with the previous dentist and she said she would have repaired and was surprised that the new dentist exposed me to radiation again. I told dr herzig that since she didn't wantthe records from the previous dentist and wanted to do her own thing and not check with insurance to see if it would be covered that I didn't think I should pay the full price for the filling. she said I should just pay it and then find a new dentist. I asked her if it would be better if I just came in and we can speak about it in person. She said that I would have to speak with her office manager who isn't nearly as nice as her... read more
