Dr. Mansourati and Nurse Practitioner Ducharme deliver competent clinical care and demonstrate solid medical expertise. Unfortunately, the administrative operations at this practice fall substantially below acceptable standards, fundamentally compromising the patient experience. In properly managed facilities, administrative personnel facilitate care rather than impede it. Here, routine interactions prove unnecessarily burdensome, and front office demeanor frequently registers as dismissive rather than patient-centered. When individuals are navigating health challenges, administrative friction compounds their burden and represents a failure of essential service. Particularly disheartening is watching capable clinical providers have their efforts consistently undermined by operational deficiencies. Healthcare demands collaboration across all levels. When administrative conduct works against patient welfare, it negates even skilled medical work. Until substantial improvements are made, I recommend seeking care elsewhere.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

From my interactions and perspective, she is abusive and quick to remind you she doesn't "have" to fill the medication she already confirmed you needed with your treating doctor. I woke up with pain radiating down my neck, spine, and arms to a point where I still can't move my upper body. I had been in to see Connie Ducharme a few months back for the same issue (less intense at the time). I called Fairlawn primary care this morning and asked for medication (not opiates) to help with the pain while I work on getting x-rays. I get a VM from Rebecca stating that my PA sent the script to a pharmacy I haven't used in years, which I had already updated with Fairlawn at my last visit, but THEY left it in the system. I called back and proceeded to ask if it could be transferred to my local pharmacy because I am in so much pain I can't drive long distances. I can't move my neck to switch lanes or sit up for long periods of time, etc. No empathy provided. Just Rebecca taking the phone and coming down my throat full force. Rebecca took the phone from the receptionist and proceeded to yell at me. "It's not Fairlawn's problem you have multiple pharmacies on file" - my response was "it was because I updated them during my last visit." I also reminded her that my prior medications a few months ago were sent to the correct CVS, why wasn't this one? She did not have any answers to my questions. She proceeded to say to me "every time you call you have an attitude." That is bullying and took me back. Especially because the last time I was in the office, Rebecca told me to drop her name if I wanted my boyfriend to become a patient, even though Fadi wasn't accepting anymore. Why extend that olive branch to a person that's always a problem? Gaslighting as its finest. Ethics complaint will be filed with the state when I am contacted with Rebecca's remaining details. Upholding patient autonomy, beneficence, and justice means respecting a patient's right to self-determination (autonomy), acting in their best interest (beneficence), and ensuring fair, equitable treatment for all (justice). My best interest was not acted in, Rebecca's was. Bullying me and threating to withhold medication is in direct violation with Rhode Island's Healthcare Ethics.

Surgery scheduled easily and I was in by 6am and home soon after noon. I did feel like I got rushed out of there but that's the hospital not the office Had an allergic reaction within 24 hours. Called and sent a picture, absolutely no help at all since I wasn't willing to drive over an hour there when I was still slightly groggy from anesthesia Isn't that why we can send a picture? To avoid an unnecessary trip, not to mention dangerous- asking a patient to drive 36 hours after surgery. I'll deal with the side effect so I don't risk my life or anyone else's. I was very disappointed in that and then my post op was fine but the attitude was chilly because I chose not to continue with a revision- at that time. It wasn't off the table but I wanted to give it a try and I'm glad I did because after a rough start, I'm doing great. So yes, I totally recommend Dr Giovanni, she's friendly personable and did a great job but was disappointed with the after surgery care and the chilly reception at my post op. I won't say avoid her, but if you're prone to allergic reactions or issues after surgery have a back up plan with your primary. Dr. Giovanni took care of me for one particular health problem and I was very much satisfied with…read moreher and how her office handled things. She is a busy surgeon with a broad repertoire of skills and her staff got me an appointment in short order for my problem. Unfortunately, she had a surgical emergency that required her to cancel office hours, but the fact that she deals with such serious cases in addition to her other workload means she is a very competent, broadly trained physician. When she did finally see me, she was able to address my problem and fix it rather quickly, offering a timely solution. Note that anyone can perform surgery, now they have robots that can do it, but what distinguishes a good surgeon from a mediocre one is that the competent surgeon knows when *not* to operate or perform a seriously invasive procedure. Thankfully, Dr. Giovanni knew exactly what to do and I was sent on my way with a much less invasive procedure than I had anticipated. Her bedside manner was excellent, and she not only answered all my questions, but treated me like a human being and gave importance to all my concerns. Overall I would happily refer family and friends to this surgeon!

I have been going to Dr. Van many years now, and will until I'm dead. She is, by far, the best…read moredoctor I have gone to in my life. She greets me like I'm an old friend she hasn't seen and remembers everyone in my life and always asks about them. I never feel rushed with her, she always wants to hear, even if I'm complaining, explaining, or simply conversing about non- medical issues. And she remembers the conversations the next time I come and asks about them. I have never had a doctor like this before. I imagine this is how doctors used to be in the olden days. Granted, her old office with Dr. Deluca was cramped and scheduling was pretty terrible and I'm not sure why that was. Going to that office always had me disgruntled, but in the end, I couldn't give up on my doctor. I'm glad I didn't. She moved to a new location with her brother (also a doctor) and I have not witnessed any scheduling issues since. My advice Dr. Van? Don't change. You're perfect!

This last time, I had an extern do my fillings which I agreed to, but she got black stuff on my lip to seal the cavity that wasn't coming off and it's been nearly 8 hours and my tongue is still numb. I told her it felt weird when she put the novocain in but she told me that means she put it in the right place. This is my 3rd time getting Novocain in the last 6 months and it's never taken this long to wear off. My only positive experience has been my cleaning. Unfortunately would not recommend because the staff is nice

The ladies at the check in were very nice taking insurance information and very courteous. Once inside the team was also very caring, making sure I was fine and comfortable in every way. Overall a good place not too far from the Rhode Islands hospital. Free parking for patients right across the street.
