Katie cat, who's feeling much better now.

I love this vet office. They've gotten me in twice when I really needed 2 of my pets to be seen. The women at the front desk are efficient and very polite. The technicians fully explained the tests my cat would have and the doctors have likewise talked with me to explain. The owner, forgot his name, is awesome. I had inherited a cat from my mom and the cat wasn't taken care of very well. The doc explained the UTI and Hyperthyroid issue. He was so understanding and kind. Like I said, I think this is an awesome vet clinic. Thank you.

They will use your sympathy for your pets ill health to guilt trip you into getting even more services from them that you can't afford, yes there services are good but emotionally blackmailing a disabled Oregon Wildland Firefighter who now lives in poverty or anyone is just Un-American in my book, I hear that they don't treat their Wealthy Customers this way just those of us that can barely afford the basics. I'll never go there again, I left last time in tears from there guilt trips of if I loved my Service Dog I'd go to a bank and mortgage my house to help my dog get Chemo, for god sake they knew I was already living in poverty and then a nurse had the gal to add salt to my wounds and say if you can't afford it I'll adopt her from you and she'll get the treatment she so deserves. These folks can't even give a disabled in the line of duty wildland firefighter a break don't expect one for you unless your Rich then from what I.ve heard for their other clients you'll be treated like Royalty.

    Sasha!

I LOVE these womyn!! Everyone was so friendly like I've known them my whole life, comfortable, funny and super positive, not pushy about shots and such. Great prices. They treated our puppy like the princess of the universe, they loved her like their own! Sasha will forever be excited to go to the vet, she was so good and everyone took turns loving on her, she got treats and a care package, it was so sweet, we had such a good time with everybody, we laughed non stop! This is my forever vet hands down, I'm so glad the fates brought us together! We really don't like going to town for adulting stuff so Thank You ALL for being so awesome, and making it a fun time.

Dr. Codd is awesome...like a million tennis balls!!

We've been bringing our fur kids to Dr. Codd and his staff for a couple years now and they are exceptional in every way. You will not find more caring and committed people than the good folks at LRVC. We have had 2 cats...one went on a great adventure and never came back and the other Dr. Codd helped us say goodbye to. He was kind and gentle and patient and everything we needed him to be for Harley and for us. We also have 2 dogs. One is a crazy tennis ball loving jack Russell chihuahua and the other little guy...well he just took a tumble off the couch and is now experiencing some paralysis. Dr. Codd answered his phone Saturday afternoon and met us there to take in Elliott and care for him. The actions these folks take are always in the best interest of your animal. Period. Thank you Dr Codd!

What can be said about someone who saves the life of a member of your family…read more We had a sick puppy who for sure would have died if we didn't get him help. We are brand new doggie parents so we didn't have establish care at any local veterinary clinic or hospital. So when our puppy got deathly ill we begged every clinic in town to help us and Allen creek took mercy on us and treated our doggie. When the treatment needed was going to be completely out of our budget they intensely questioned us to see what we were able to do at home and what needed to be done at the hospital. Instead of a week in the hospital we hospitalized him overnight and did the rest of the care at home with an assortment of medication, probiotics, and ways to keep him hydrated.

They only told me it was much safer than any other pain med and that it just turned the pain off. I wasn't shown the Zoetis brochure that lists all the adverse effects including lameness in 4.4% of cats. They didn't mention that there are far more reported serious adverse reactions and deaths for this drug than all the other NSAIDs combined. Within hours of the injection my cat started having seizures that continued for several weeks. She also started wobbling around on her hind legs as she walked. Within days she was barely able to get onto a 12" high shelf on her cat tree. Eventually, both her hind legs stopped working and she had to haul herself around with her front legs while her hind legs dragged behind her. I tried over and over to get Allen Creek Vet to consider these clear signs that she'd had a serious adverse reaction to Solensia but I was repeatedly brushed off and gaslighted about it. Dr. Heidi twice refused to even watch my before and after Solensia video that I made to show what a dramatic and horrible change Solensia had made in my cat. In fact, they wanted to give my cat another Solensia injection rather than trying to help her with the damage that had already been done. Dr Heidi noted the dramatically increased WBC count after the Solensia injections and said she'd have to research but never did anything about it. Less than 4 months after the Solensia injection, I went to a different vet who x-rayed my cat. The x-rays showed a huge tumor about 4" across that had not been there on her previous x-ray just 6 days before the Solensia injection. The tumor was so invasive I had to euthanize my soul kitty. Although Allen Creek was aware of all of this, nobody has reached out to apologize or express any sympathy at all and my two requests for my cat's medical records have been ignored. As far as I can tell, Allen Creek Vet's actions were directly responsible for my soul kitty's passing and they apparently don't care at all. This is not a safe place to take your precious animals. Please do your research before you let any vet inject your cat or dog with this dangerous drug that was banned for human use because of what it does to the body.

Her demeanor is friendly, while professional and extremely knowledgeable--and she communicates with our dogs and cats extremely well...making them at feel at ease--even when under stress of an (what is to them an) unfamiliar environment. As another reviewer stated (and I agree) foremost on her mind is the well being of your pet---not letting your (the owners) emotions get in the way of your pet's best interest---which rightly SHOULD top priority of any Vet's interest. When need be, she is firm in the best interest of your animal--while YOU may be falling apart emotionally, and that is definitely a PLUS in my book! 5 STARS for Dr. Heidi !!!

When I called to make the appointment, I explained that I was nervous about proceeding with vaccinations due to his previous reaction and wanted a detailed discussion to help me prepare. I was assured that we would have a discussion regarding the previous reaction and a plan on how to move forward, but unfortunately, that did not happen. I was given a single sheet listing vaccines and their purposes(that I had to press for), but nothing addressing my specific concerns about adverse reactions or a personalized plan for my dog. I tried asking specific questions regarding the neutering--such as whether he would need a cone after surgery and if he could be around his brother afterward--but instead of receiving basic information, I was simply told, "We will go over that when you come in for the appointment." That was the whole reason I made this appointment in the first place. They let me know they had discharge paperwork. When I asked for discharge paperwork to review in advance, I was told they would provide it later. They mentioned they could build me a packet with all kinds of information, but it wouldn't be ready today- despite me clearly outlining what I needed before the appointment. The actual visit felt rushed and uninformative. My dog was weighed, given a quick visual check, and that was it--yet the cost was $62. My boyfriend's 4-year-old dog had the same experience and was also charged $62 (we brought them together) Additionally, when we asked for their nails to be trimmed, my dog moved slightly after the cut, and we were immediately told he would need to be sedated to finish. This was his first time there, and a little nervousness should have been expected. On top of all of this, our appointments were scheduled for 4 PM. We arrived 15 minutes early to provide records and complete any paperwork, yet we weren't called back until nearly 4:30--only to receive a basic weigh-in and visual check. I was really hoping for a more thorough and informative visit, especially given the specific concerns I expressed in advance. Unfortunately, the experience left me feeling unprepared and uncertain about the next steps for my dog's care.
