We don't belong to this vet regularly. But we had to say goodbye to our dog and didn't want to drive so far to our normal veterinarian. They let us come in, accommodated the time we requested, they were kind and patient, and the vet that assisted us was very empathetic, talked me through our decision, and let me have the time I needed. They were also very reasonable on the cost. When we are ready for another family member to join our home I hope we can get into them for our veterinary needs. read more

Overpriced babysitters: Moved from down south and attempted to schedule routine care for my animals (no luck), all appointments were only available to be booked on an "emergency" basis where the receptionist insisted you call the morning of to see if they have availability (aka they're ensuring they can collect the "emergency" fee despite the fact that you were trying to schedule an appointment for over a week.) Next, I was charged over $500 for an emergency appointment for a suspected abcess (I specifically requested radiographs, blood work, etc....the original visit did not include radiographs and they said after watching the dog all day and guaranteeing that they gave him a full "check over" and he had a full bill of health ....when I picked the dog up, they told me they had not conducted the radiographs like I originally requested and that without "sedating the dog" it would be impossible (this is complete BS. Dog is non-aggressive, 100% cooperative, and Sedating an Animal for any procedure is always the LAST RESORT!!! Sedation can cause more issues and it is not necessary to gather the required images.) So I picked up my dog and paid the $600+bill thinking he actually had a full work up....Nope, most of that bill was the upcharge for absolutely nothing. Said nothing, paid the bill and tried to leave the office, only for the receptionist to start recommending a bunch of other services and vaccinations....that should have been covered during the $600 examination I paid for. Not while I'm walking out the door....I also paid for blood work. I have yet to receive a print out, call back, or any results regarding the blood work. I actually know how to read all of the requested reports and want to see them for my own records.......Something tells me, I paid $250+ for bloodwork they never actually conducted....how would I know? They dog had no evidence of having blood drawn when I picked him up and they have yet to provide the results months later....but I digress. (That is animal #1) I called again today to attempt to schedule an emergency euthanashia or appointment for my senior dog who is in active pain. They had the audacity to act shocked that I would expect them to have avaliability on short notice, stated they wouldn't be able to schedule me for a week out, and referred me to a clinic two hours away from me. When I told them a 22 was more humane than redirecting your clients to a clinic two hours away or delaying care for over a week.... They had the audacity to act like they did not know what I was talking about.. So in short....No this office does not care about making sure they are there for you and your animals in their time of need. I have seen better bedside manner in the morgue.....I literally work at the morgue. They do have a beautiful facility, but if they're more interested in up charging clients to keep up the facade of a curb appeal rather than ensuring their client's needs are met...that's sad. At this point in time, the best solution I have found to finding reasonable Vet care for my animals is to load them up and drive them South to California. read more

Couldn't offer me an appointment a year after me calling them. My dog was bleeding from her rear end. They offered me no help AT ALL.

These people are so kind and truly dedicated to helping animals. They helped me a couple of years ago when my 20 year old cat was dying and took care of him as he passed. Then, this morning, I found a newborn baby kitten in my garden supplies. I think her mother had abandoned her. She was cold and barely breathing. I called them immediately and they said bring her down and they did all in their power to try and save her. I just have to say, I have tried calling vet clinics all around the area, Lincoln Road Vet clinic is the only one who actually answer their phone when you call rather than send you to a voicemail. I love this vet office. They've gotten me in twice when I really needed 2 of my pets to be seen. The women at the front desk are efficient and very polite. The technicians fully explained the tests my cat would have and the doctors have likewise talked with me to explain. The owner, forgot his name, is awesome. I had inherited a cat from my mom and the cat wasn't taken care of very well. The doc explained the UTI and Hyperthyroid issue. He was so understanding and kind. Wonderful staff and location as well as layout. The building itself is very much a veterinary clinic, but has a comfortable, homey feel. There is a small dog park outside for your furry buddy to get some exercise before and/or after their visit. It's very grassy, shady and has a freshwater fountain flowing at all times. Doctor Codd himself is a very caring vet who wants to be sure you are comfortable with whatever decision you are making for your pet, as is his staff. After being turned away by numerous vets for an emergency humane euthanizing because my pet wasn't a "pre-existing patient", Lincoln Road was willing to take on the situation. This ended up being MORE than a good thing as one of the techs had experience in regard to this specific sort of injury. After a few days of rehab with her and a bit of antibiotic treatment, my baby girl Hedy was sent home for weekend observation with me. She is now eating and on her way to a full recovery! I am so glad that they were willing to help and I get more years with my buddy. read more

They treated our puppy like the princess of the universe, they loved her like their own! We've been bringing our fur kids to Dr. Codd and his staff for a couple years now and they are exceptional in every way. You will not find more caring and committed people than the good folks at LRVC. We have had 2 cats...one went on a great adventure and never came back and the other Dr. Codd helped us say goodbye to. He was kind and gentle and patient and everything we needed him to be for Harley and for us. We also have 2 dogs. One is a crazy tennis ball loving jack Russell chihuahua and the other little guy...well he just took a tumble off the couch and is now experiencing some paralysis. Lincoln Road Vet Clinic is Awesome!! I've been to many vets & this clinic is by far the best in the valley. I've never been treated so well..from beginning to end. Scooter had a split infected nail. I was given an appt to come in the very next morning. When we arrived Cianna and staff greeted us like family even though it was our first visit. Dr. Jim Goodbrod sat on the floor examining my big dog (Scooter) while talking about options. He discussed removing the nail with and w/o anesthesia in detail, the pros & cons. He was sensitive to the money issue. I made the decision to put him under anesthesia. A detailed quote was given in writing. I was called immediately after the procedure and picked Scooter up after work. We were sent home with antibiotics and pain medicine for 10 days as well as detailed written instructions. The bill was $50 less than the quote. I have never been so pleased with a vets office in my life. This place is a class act. I will never take my dogs anywhere else. I asked if there was a company in my state who orders them. They gave me this office's number. The receptionist was so rude and very "put out " when I asked if she could ask the dr. Apparently he ordered them personally for his birds and now is angry, calling the company and reprimanding them for trying to help me find a product that would most likely save my birds. It wasn't as though they gave me his personal contact info they gave me his office contact!! What is WRONG with people these days?!! People are reprimanded for being kind and trying to help. We are new to the area and Lincoln Road was recommended to us. However, we thought our first visit would be the establishing our fur-babies with the practice on a check up . Well our 2 year old Corgi decided he want to be seen sooner. When I called the gal on the phone said that they were booked 3 weeks out when I explain Winstons symptoms and that were new to the area and they were recommend she jumped into action to see what she could do. We got in right away and Dr. Codd went to work to solve the mystery of why our corgi didn't feel well. Dr was very professional knowledgeable and went from nose to tail making sure he disnt moss anything. Lincoln Road Veterinary Clinic is the best vet's office I have ever worked with, and I have worked with veterinarians for over twenty years as either a customer, or as a dog rescue worker up and down the I5 corridor from Grants Pass, Eugene, Portland and in to Vancouver, WA. Dr. Codd and the staff's care for animals is the best I've ever seen. They are truly compassionate and considerate that an animal is frightened when at a vet's office. They are equally compassionate towards the human clients bringing in their pets. They have never rushed through procedures, explanations are always clear, and they've unfailingly made follow up calls to see how my pets have been after surgery. The equipment is state of the art, yet the prices are lower than I've encountered anywhere else. I am a foster Mom for kittens and cats at Josephine County Animal Shelter. For the past few months, I have been essentially an "intensive care" unit for kittens who have serious health issues. LRVC has helped in the past with my fur babies when they were poisoned by a neighbor. They sent a sympathy card when my buddy, Bootsie was put down. I thought that was caring, but even more; they let me come to the conclusion that the cat was poisoned. I thought that was professional. Most recent, I took my 15 year old rescue kitty, Callie in for mouth problems. All the time I've owner her, she would never let me touch her mouth and she drooled a lot. After she was in 3 cat fights in a couple months, I thought she was done, but gave her immune drops,; kept her inside and fed her wet food. She put on quite a bit of weight. I finally got to look inside her mouth. She had gingivitis. Vet said quite a bit of work was needed. It ended up costing about a $1,000, but Callie is a whole new Cat. They took such good care of her and with the 3 day pain shot; that was just enough. She only has 3 teeth and I still feed her wet food, only. But LRVC is the only place to take your kiddies! They are the only vet I've taken my animals to, where the animal feels right at home! Callie just loved the vet tech, Robin. Usually, when I took kittens to get spayed or neutered elsewhere, they were scared of the vet. Not here! read more

I went in today for the first time to get some advice regarding an older nestling dove that was unnested & injured by a scrub jay, that we've been trying to nurse back to health. The staff here was awesome and helpful, knowledgeable and gave great advice. I didn't have an appointment and was not turned away or made to feel unimportant. They helped alleviate some concerns I had for the care of the bird (they are not a bird clinic) and his/her injuries. Great place, I'll be bringing my animals here from now on! read more
