Dr. Paulson and staff Destiny, Kendall everyone saved my little guys life today!!! She was able to go in and manually remove all fecal matter that was stuck in his guts. They took such good care of him!!! Wish I came here sooner. Even cleaned his ears for him. Kendall was able to get me in right away. Cannot thank you enough. Guys if you own cats please please keep an eye on them and give them a preventative hair ball control supplement or treat. This is serious and they can die from being severely constipated.

Many months ago I brought my cat in with a hematoma in her ear, the emergency hospital could have…read moredone the surgery that morning but the senior vet said he could do the surgery. I went to pick her up and was guided into a room with a young women vet who without my permission did the surgery she was out of vet school 3 months. I was told the vet watched her but he said he had to leave early to take his wife to the hospital. it was illegal for him to let her do the surgery by herself. He said he watched her the entire time. THEN WHY DID HE NOT DO IT HIMSELF IF HE HAD THAT KIND OF TIME I HAD NOT GIVEN PERSMIISION FOR ANHYONE ELSE TO DO THE SUGERY. I went back again I said my cat is not well, They said she won't have to eat or drink water for three days NOT TRUE one of the vet assistance was like a mad dog ( I love dogs but this was nuts) staring me down there to protect her and agreed. At three am my cat was drinking tons of water I rushed her to emergency where the doctor said she had almost no electro lites and was trying to supply them by drinking she could not! she was on deaths door. She said did they not give her an IV this was wrong who monitored this cat? I said I don't know when I called the vet he would not refund me, he was sweet but it was an act, I deserved to b e paid for. both the surgery and the emergency hospital, I should have taken them to small claims court but I was so upset I could not write this review until. now. This place and his too sweet response was an act I believed he has many years of being this way but when his vet made a mistake she didn't take responsibility. He said he had to leave his wife was sick and he had to take her to the hospital (oh sympathy for him now) well if she is that sick call an ambulance. Yep everyone loves this vet but he did not take financial responsibility for his mistake and the emergency hospital notes mention. the surgery was not right. (in medical terms ) they have Mal practice I submitted it to them they said they passed it along but I never heard back they simply evaded responsibility. This man took zero responsibility my sister has Parkinson's I don't drive her to the hospital I call an ambulance! they are not expensive maybe 150.00 I spent close to 4,000 for the emergency hospital and his cocky knows it all vet student.the next vet commented on wow so any stitches he laughed! Best Friends Animal Hospital Of East Medford

I adore and trust this hospital above all others. I have two special needs English Bulldogs and…read moreI'm also an animal behaviorist who specializes in rehabilitating shelter animals and preparing them for adoption. As a result, I have been privy to treatment programs and protocols for many animals through Best Friends. English Bulldogs are notorious for having unusual and difficult health issues. Unlike so many other veterinary services, Best Friend's is not only familiar with the increased risk associated with many of the most common treatment plans which need to be addressed and considered when treating animals of this breed but they have consistently recommended the lowest level invasive treatments which also provide the lowest costs. Time and again, I have brought in my dogs, who are well insured, with the expectation of paying my deductible and having insurance cover the expensive treatment plans I was expecting only to be delighted to be offered a very easy, low cost and extremely effective treatment protocol which I have followed with 100% success. My younger girl has had over $20,000 in medical treatment from two major health issues. The second of which I literally rushed her in after she experienced laryngeal collapse and was in the process of suffocating to death. Best Friend's immediately provided the life-saving treatment she needed and also worked on the fly, outside their normal protocols, to provide an emergency transport to the specialty center where the only specialists who could perform the surgery she needed to possibly save her life could be offered. There were several complications subsequent to the surgery which has left her with some very specific support is required for common activities like eating and breathing. That happened over a year and a half ago and through the time of her recovery and in subsequent wellness visit's, Best Friend's has always provided competent, comprehensive and compassionate treatment. My other boy has severe behavioral issues due to being rescued from an unspeakably violent fighting ring where he was subjugated to routine torture and abuse. Despite his issues, the doctor's at Best Friend's demonstrate sensitivity and competency in dealing with his undesirable and potentially dangerous behaviors. Each of the foster's I have brought in for medical treatment, both routine and otherwise have received the same, high quality and complete medical care. I recommend Best Friends to the highest degree and am so grateful for their honesty and commitment to caring for animals.

He has treated all of our dogs for regular and difficult symptoms and has always gone above and beyond in his information and quality care. He Just operated on our doxie yesterday when another vet said she couldn't do the major surgery as it was above her skill level. He got our boy in the same day we called and operated on him within 3 days. His caring and compassion comes through with him and his qualified staff. He and his wife are truly like family and our four dogs are very comfortable there and he gets down with them and actually is on their level. He is by far the best vet we have ever used! Thank you Dr Poet!

I am heartbroken and extremely disappointed with the care my dog received at Crater Animal Clinic…read more I first brought her in because she had lost interest in food. She was prescribed antibiotics, but after a week there was still no improvement. The vet then suggested IV antibiotics, followed by an ultrasound, which showed a small lesion on her liver. The recommendation was a surgical biopsy. When I asked how my dog would recover from surgery when she still wasn't eating, the response I received was simply to "force feed her." Another test was suggested (a chest X-ray), and desperate to help my dog, I agreed. After hours of waiting with no communication, I had to call myself--only to be told by a vet tech that the X-rays showed no abnormalities and the note from the vet was, "continue with what you're doing." When I arrived to pick up my dog, the first thing I was met with was a request for payment--before I was even able to speak with the vet. It became clear to me at that moment that this office prioritizes dollars over the well-being of their patients. To make matters worse, my dog was brought out soiled and clearly uncared for while in their holding kennel. The following day, a home vet came to evaluate her and immediately identified jaundice--something this vet office never mentioned. Tragically, my sweet girl did not recover, and I had to say goodbye. I am sharing this experience because I would never want another pet parent to go through what we did. Our animals deserve compassionate, thorough, and attentive care--qualities I did not see reflected here.

My (sort of) regular vet is Jessica Voellm at A Street Animal Clinic in Ashland, but, since I do…read morenot live in Ashland anymore and also had a bigger emergency, I came here... Also because they take the Care Credit card. I have a two year old Siberian Husky who was vomiting very consistently, wouldn't eat, and couldn't even keep water down. I was truly convinced he was dying. I went on their website, and made an appointment around 6:30 AM, for their next available vet at 9:45 which was Alexander Hendricks. They called right when they opened at 8 to confirm my appointment, and asked me some questions about what was happening with the dog. She told me I could go in around 9 or so to fill out the paperwork, and then they could see if he could see us a few minutes early (I think she offered because she could probably hear that I had been crying for the last 2 hours). So we showed up early, filled out the sheet and waited a while to have our name called. We did, the dog got weighed and everything, and we sat in the room for the guy. When he came in we both explained everything, what his vomit and his poop was like, his energy level, everything. He got very worried when I said he wouldn't keep water down. He said there could be a blockage in his intestines, and if that were the case, he would need surgery. That drove me and my man's anxiety through the roof. Not just because of the money, but we just don't want to have to put Shadow through that. He took some X-rays, and pulled them up on the computer and let us come up to see and he explained what organs were what, and what the shadowy spots could mean, etc. He said it looked like there was some air in his stomach, so it might just be as simple as some gastric upset and that he just needs to toot. He sent the pictures to a radiologist to see what the spots could mean, because he couldn't tell for himself and wanted to be sure. He had us wait and wait, until he comes out and says "Ok. No blockage." That was a HUGE relief, and we could tell he was relieved too. One thing about Hendricks, he looks and sounds like he has that monotone personality like maybe he doesn't really care about the animals, and he's just... there. But I think he really does. We like how to-the-point he was with us. Like, 'well, it could be this really awful thing, or it could be this smaller thing, but I really can't tell you which is more likely right now. We'll start off by exhausting these possibilities to save you some peace of mind and money. And if it's worse, we will cross that bridge later.' So, he needed to have an IV fluid drip, and get a catheter of his anti-nausea medication. We left him there from about noon until 5:30. He was still exhausted, but tried to get excited to see us! He ate food when we got home and we were so happy to see that. He hasn't vomited at all since we brought him home (took him in 7/18, today is 7/21) and now he's eating more regularly. Not quite as much as he usually gets, but enough to really keep him going, and he's drinking fluids now, too. He is very good about taking his pills, so that's a relief. I don't believe that animals should be medicated, but I know it has helped keep him from vomiting. I really like Hendricks, he's a good guy, was very good to us, and nice to my dog. Will definitely be back here (hopefully not soon)! PS: The one minus star is that they sell Royal Canin and Science Diet. I can't believe that even in this day and age where raw food for pets is on the rise, they would sell that garbage, haha.

I said it's not her teeth . She can't swallow. And acted like the food was hurting her mouth. I go back to my Primary. Cheerful Vet. She cleaned her teeth. Cat still can't swallow. I tried showing her a video of the cat trying to swallow. I told her another retired vet had said the issue is further down. She would not listen. Finally has the traveling ultrasound come to her office. They put my 17 year old cat under again. Shave her. She had a mass by her heart pushing on her esophagus.!! Inept veterinary care by emergency vet and Anette at Cheerful vet. I had my cat euthanized. Cheerful vet paid $100.00 for cremation because she was wrong and put my cat and my wallet through unnecessary pain. Sad that these people are taking advantage of pet lovers at a very critical point in their lives.

And scheduled him right away for the extraction of three teeth. Dr. Catt and her staff are very kind and able to assist me with all my questions. This is a big kitty and he wanted nothing to do with me giving him his pills. they worked together to find a solution the helped Jackson with his pain from the extractions and other meds. So happy I found a vet I am comfortable with. I have had the same vet for my pets for 20 years, so finding a new vet was scary. They put me at ease at Pear Blossom." UPDATE: caution, follow-up to treatment at this vet... This vet is incompetent. I took male 8 year old male cat in for tooth extractions. I was told that there was an infection is one of his teeth. I was given capsules for the Antibiotic and pain relief. there was no way my cat was letting me give him oral pain meds and antibiotics. I called their clinic and was able to get him back in their office so the tech could attempt to give him the meds he needed. That to was a battle. Dr. Catt did apply a topical pain med. I asked for liquid meds to make it easier for him to take his meds and was told that cats over 10 or so pounds could no be given liquid because it is NOT AVAILABLE! Within a few days that infection moved to his heart and lungs. I rushed him to the emergency where I had my best friend put to sleep. I have since spoke to several vets in the area, and the fact that liquid antibiotics and pain meds are only available in capsule is false. I hold this vet responsible for Jackson's death.
