    The UPS Store

    The UPS Store

    (15 reviews)

This may come as a complete surprise to you, but The UPS Store isn't "Unwanted Parcels and Stuff"…read morethat goes back to Amazon. They were around long before Amazon's free returns. And God bless 'em, these people probably spend half (or more) of their day processing the pants that were too big or the purse you decided you didn't want. The staff at the South Park Ave store has always been friendly and cheerful even when the line is a bit long and the customers are less than happy. They are also pretty efficient, so a long line never takes as long as you might think from first look. Only one time did I have a less than 5-star experience at the store, and it really worked out okay in the end, so I'm not docking them. I believe I was working with a new employee who charged me for packaging materials that were not used. The recipient sent me a picture of the box after it was opened and there was literally NO packing materials inside. Fortunately the item I sent was not damaged in shipment, so it turned out okay. However, I showed the picture to the manager and asked for a refund of the packing materials. He actually refunded the cost of shipping, too. In my opinion, that was more than he needed to do, and he apologized several times in the process. An added tip if you do a lot of shipping - join a third party site like Pirate Ship and you can save a small percentage on the cost of shipping, print your label at home, and drop it off at the UPS store for them to mail out. It saves you time and a buck or two.

Save yourself the headache and take your printing business anywhere else. I am a local business…read moreowner who normally uses FedEx with zero issues, but I stopped by this UPS Store location around 1:00 PM because it was closer. That was a huge mistake. From the start, the staff, with the exception of Donnie, were incredibly rude, condescending, and acted like helping customers was a massive burden. They always are, even when I've used them to ship items. The print quality was an absolute disaster. -Digital Formatting Artifacts: They handed me prints with random pixelated gray blocks across the top. Despite my files being flattened and properly set up, they immediately blamed me, asking if the artwork was "made with AI" or transferred incorrectly. Which it wasn't and was created entirely by me. I even went into the file in the store to see if there was something hiding at the top... nothing. -Physical Hardware Defects: Even after attempting to fix it, the "final" prints still had horizontal banding lines and roller streaks from poorly maintained equipment. -Severe Color Shift: The background rendered with a heavy yellow/olive tint instead of my brand's neutral gray (the exact same master file prints perfectly elsewhere). To top it off, they forced me to pay for all of their own trial-and-error troubleshooting test prints. When I called after leaving to speak with the store manager about a refund for unusable materials, she refused, made up excuses, and snapped, "Great, sir, we have you on camera," before hanging up on me. Yeah, you do have me on camera, standing there for ten minutes waiting on your team while you try to troubleshoot your own shitty machine. Donnie is the only redeeming part of this store, but the rest of the staff and management make it clear they hate their jobs and have zero respect for customers or quality standards. They also have no idea what they're doing when it comes to printing. I will say they're great at scanning boxes and throwing them in the back room LOL. Avoid this location.

After looking at reviews of several businesses we found they all seemed to be written by the same person....no details just "they were great." Remembering that Urban Valet provides cleaning services for the annual prom gown give away, we decided to try them out. The staff was very friendly and helpful as my wife explained exactly what was needed. In addition to the cleaning, her gown needed to be altered slightly. Staff explained the process and fully reviewed her requirements. The items were promised to be ready by the next Wednesday. On Wednesday we arrived and everything was ready as promised. Both gowns were beautifully prepared and well covered to ensure they could be easily transported. My daughter's gown had a jeweled waist which is not easy to clean but was perfect. I was more than pleasantly surprised when it came time to pay. For a wedding gown, an evening gown with alterations and a man's two piece suit with tie the cost was less than $100.00! I don't know about other locations but the Hamburg site has a very unique feature. In addition to walk in service they offer Drive Through service as well. I have never experienced such a service at a cleaners but intend to use it in the future. If you ever need cleaning and/or alteration services for everyday or unique items, choosing Urban Valet is the right choice and they will not disappoint.

I'm an average height but have long legs for my height. Andy quickly realized this and that narrowed his recommendations down to bikes that would fit me specifically. He even recommended two models that he didn't sell. He just wanted me to get the right bike for me. After doing my research and test riding (even at his competitor's), I found the Argon bike was the best for me and bought it from Andy. He then got it all set up and did a final fitting with me too. He explained the little bit of maintenance I'd need to do as well. In the end, he spent several hours over 3 days with me and was amazing. I highly recommend him and this shop. He knows what he's talking about and works with you to find what's best for you.

There was zero attempt made to honor the given price or to reach some sort of compromise. We wasted 2+ hours. Either bait and switch or total incompetence.

They will not negotiate rates on units or rentals. The office is just germy looking with no place to sit. Everything is old and dusty looking. If you get a UHaul truck, they are too lazy to fill them and you should leave time to do their job and top it off before your trip. I would check around with Budget, Ryder or Penske. Also check newer, more well-kept facilities for storage. I recommend reading any contracts with these people. They have horrible hours for working people and YOU are there for them. The rental truck pulls up with their representative (lunch in hand) driving. He exits the truck, opens the store door and has my husband sign a document, hands us the keys and says "you're all set - it's all warmed up for you!" The whole process took less than 3 minutes - we actually commented "someone is anxious to go and eat his lunch!" We never did a walk around the truck (silly us) but we were never told to either. The next day when we returned the truck in Lockport. We then received notification by a charge on our credit card of $150 for damage!! Everything we used the truck for was in wide open spaces - not near trees or buildings or anything. It has been 2 weeks and no one has returned our numerous phone calls. I was just informed that a "Jason" sent me an email (which I did not receive) telling me that the decision stands and that the $150 is cheaper than the full amount. I DON'T THINK SO! This is a terrible way to do business. WE DID NOT DAMAGE ANYTHING. The "damage" was so high on the truck that I am sure no one could reach it to put their little "x" sticker on it. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. USE PENSKE, RYDER, HERTZ OR ANYONE BUT U-HAUL.
