This may come as a complete surprise to you, but The UPS Store isn't "Unwanted Parcels and Stuff" that goes back to Amazon. They were around long before Amazon's free returns. And God bless 'em, these people probably spend half (or more) of their day processing the pants that were too big or the purse you decided you didn't want. The staff at the South Park Ave store has always been friendly and cheerful even when the line is a bit long and the customers are less than happy. They are also pretty efficient, so a long line never takes as long as you might think from first look. Only one time did I have a less than 5-star experience at the store, and it really worked out okay in the end, so I'm not docking them. I believe I was working with a new employee who charged me for packaging materials that were not used. The recipient sent me a picture of the box after it was opened and there was literally NO packing materials inside. Fortunately the item I sent was not damaged in shipment, so it turned out okay. However, I showed the picture to the manager and asked for a refund of the packing materials. He actually refunded the cost of shipping, too. In my opinion, that was more than he needed to do, and he apologized several times in the process. An added tip if you do a lot of shipping - join a third party site like Pirate Ship and you can save a small percentage on the cost of shipping, print your label at home, and drop it off at the UPS store for them to mail out. The owner of the UPS store is CHEAP!!!!! I have traveled the country using UPS stores at least 2 times a week for 8 years. This is the only one that has ever charged for things like taping the box closed, or printing a label. On the return instructions from Amazon is states; "The UPS Store will pack, label, and ship your return for free. Please drop off the item(s) with its original product packaging including all accessories, inserts, and manuals. Original Amazon shipping box/bag and mailing label are not needed!!!!!!! " They wanted $3 to print out a label even though we had the QR code. read more

Very unprofessional. I did not have a good experience here at all. Employee was about 29 years old, male with brown hair, glasses, and tattoos on his arms. He was snarky, mean and very rude. He did not have a name tag on. If he wasn't the manager, the manager should be contacted. read more

I've had very good experience. This is now my sixth visit to have printing services. All my print jobs have been completed with quality. Binding and aligned, no problems and completed when they said it would be done. Prices are much better than other office supply places. read more

Had to return a couple packages from Amazon and thought it couldn't be too bad. Ugh. Owner huffed when he saw the pre Paid labels and said something to the affect "what the hell... I don't make any money on these!". I think he thought he was being humorous but in reality ... not so much. PROFESSIONALISM... They need it bad. read more

Store hours posted on the website are a guideline and not abided by. Got there at 6:40 they were closed door and website say closes at 7PM. Sent them an email figuring they may want to know that someone closed there store early got a smart assed answer. read more

I have been a customer of the UPS Store in hamburg for over 4 years. I have never had a bad experience there and they have always gone above and beyond to make me feel important and my business wanted. I went in to pick up a package that was shipped directly to this store to be held for me. It is a package that I have to sign for, so I can't have it shipped home. I won't even get into the UPS policy of not allowing packages to be scheduled without paying for their service. I went in to the store, and was told it was $5 to pick up my package. I asked why, and he said it was because it was redirected to him. I said, no, it was shipped directly. He said, "I own the store, I can charge whatever I want, I could charge you $100 for this". I said fine, I knew the shipper used FedEx and FedEx allows me to reschedule my shipment, and holds it for no charge. I would just switch to FedEx. He then started on about how he has to make money, and I could do whatever, was very rude to me. I walked out the door and told him to have a nice day. As the door was closing, he called out "F*ck off". I told my 10 year old daughter to wait outside, I walked in and said "Excuse me?". He claimed he didn't say what I thought he said. Regardless of what he said, he was certainly intending to be rude and obscene. He then told me "to get the hell out of the store", told me it was all on camera, and then called me a "wacko". Needless to say, I will not be using this store ever again, and will be reporting this to UPS; I'm sure they don't want people using their name and providing customer service like this. read more
