Wish I could speak on Dr. Hsu however I never got to see her. Office doesn't answer phones, when I got frustrated and left an unkind message on my end, which I will admit wasn't my finest moment, I finally got a call back. They were however more concerned about the message than the medical care needed, stating they always answer their phones. Being more concerned about addressing the not answering phones comment than the actual medical emergency really says a lot about the staff. And they really don't answer phones because not even the insurance company was able to get through to them. Guess I really touched a sore spot there. Dr. Hsu should consider getting new staff unless this is actually a representation of her as a professional. But I've never actually been able to see her so I can't speak on her as a doctor. Such a shame. Update: I called multiple times so yes I did leave a voicemail with my information. Not only did I spend all morning trying to get a hold of you, but my insurance company tried too. They were met with no response as well and were very concerned that they changed my PCP immediately. When I got a call back it was because I upset you and I was never asked what medical support I needed. I was met with a "we always answer our phone, what do you mean?" So of course I was upset because I finally get a call back and it's regarding my comment. By this point, I had already changed my PCP and got an appointment for my medical situation. So, yes, I no longer needed your services. Regardless, I hope you can do better by your current and future clients. If you are unable to met demands it might be time to hire more hands or get a better system. My experience doesn't need to be everyone else's. read more

Dr. Hsu is a doctor's doctor. She's smart, warm and has a passion for medicine and a passion for taking care of her patients. Highly recommended and she's got a strong following of other doctors and RNs who go to her as their primary care doctor. I can't say enough nice things about her and her staff. They're extremely helpful and efficient and return phone calls when you need them to answer a question or concern. Her office is like a Beverly Hills office in that it's a beautiful office and you'll walk in looking for the Nordstrom's piano player. It's that nice and extremely clean. Even then, the front staff was busy crafting construction paper, leaving one staff to help the patients (no one was in the office besides me at the time). I have had only outstanding experiences in Dr. Hsu's care. She is caring and competent, doesn't rush to prescribe medication and she keeps current on newer research regarding health such as cholesterol, diabetes and nutrition. Dr. Linda Hsu was instrumental in diagnosing and establishing a treatment plan for my diabetic condition. I did not recognize the severity of my condition. Dr. Hsu immediately diagnosed glucose levels, provided medical equipment to monitor glucose levels, advised on diet and exercise. She was continuously available during the crisis. Furthermore, she actively pursued follow-on medical testing with my insurance provider to obtain a CT scan with contrast. Throughout this crisis, she maintained close communication and provided critical guidance in how to navigate the medical system. Dr. Hsu was my parents' primary care physician for several years preceding their deaths. I needed to find a competent and compassionate internist for my 74-year old mother after she was diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis. My mother had fallen and was unable to get up so I took her to the ER. My mother is one of those people who refuses to see a physician and has not had a primary care doctor for over 40 years. However, finding a local physician was now necessary and an emergency. Googling physicians in Downey yielded a list of physicians including Dr Hsu. Dr Hsu's office was very close to our home so I immediately called and set an appointment for my mother. Dr Hsu is an incredibly friendly, kind, and very competent Internist who specializes in Geriatric Medicine. Dr Hsu took the time to listen to all of my mother's concerns and answered all of her questions. We did not ever feel rushed. My mother was ecstatic with how wonderfully kind Dr Hsu is. Dr Hsu referred us to an orthopedic surgeon for a hip replacement surgery which would relieve the intense pain from the osteoarthritis. On the day of the surgery and the following 2 days, Dr Hsu continued to visit my mother to make sure everything was okay and even took time during her hectic schedule to converse with my mother and even listen to her sing. I was very appreciative towards Dr Hsu for being extremely kind, down-to-earth friendly, and incredible generosity with her time. Sometimes, it is the simple act of kindness and listening which helps patients heal faster and contribute to their well-being. I have heard too many horror stories from my colleagues regarding their own experiences with physicians. I consider Dr Hsu to be an exceptional physician and a real gem of a physician! We are very blessed and honored to have met Dr Hsu and have her as my mother's primary care doctor. Dr Hsu has a staff of dedicated and equally compassionate ladies in her office, Miriam (?) at the front desk and Nurse Judy who assists with the patients. Both of these ladies are very friendly and wonderful. They answer questions and do everything to help people feel at ease. My mother is now recovering at a local rehab center and Dr Hsu still visits my mother to make sure everything is well.
