Dr. Eppele was fantastic! I was a new client having moved to the area and needed a new Dr. She listened intently and didn't rush me at all as I went over my laundry list of stuff my previous doctor and I were working on before as I have had some past health issues. I mentioned I had surgery and had been waiting to get some XRays done to be sure I didn't need another crazy surgery- she had the XRays done right on the spot! The office and staff were great- While I never actually pay attention to the receptionists (they aren't the ones I'm there to see) her assistants were marvelous. They scheduled appointments with my referrals, called in my prescriptions to the pharmacist and answered any last minute questions I had. I'm going to schedule with Dr Eppele from now on. read more

--- THIS OFFICE IS NOT ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS AS ADVERTISED --- After reading how wonderful Dr. Eppele is (even though her staff was not recommended) I contacted her office in regards to registering her as my new primary care specialist. The woman who answered the phone stated "Ok, but she is not accepting any new patients at this time." When I questioned the posting I received about new patients being accepted her reply was "Yeah, she's moving from the building so that's not right." No apologies for the inconvenience and zero interest in speaking with me. Who ever is answering the phones would benefit tremendously with customer service training or just leave it to those who are polite and business professional. I'm sure Dr. Eppele is as wonderful as everyone says. Hopefully the reason for leaving is to get rid of the office "help." read more

I called the first time and waited 6 mins before getting disconnected. Then I called a second time after waiting 12 finally got taken off hold. Only to get disconnected shortly after. I didn't bother calling back. If your staff can't handle the call volume either hire more people or get a new staff. read more

Dr. Eppele is amazing. Actually takes the time to listen and encourages you to ask questions. Genuinely cares about what you have to say and ANY concerns you may have. Responds quickly to any messages I leave her (will even call from her PERSONAL cell). I started out with going to her for just myself and later switched my children over as well. They love her and they're not fans of ANY doctor. She's a mother as well so her maternal instincts are definitely present when my boys are visiting her office. This review is more for the general staff at the Eppele Family Practice rather than Dr. Eppele herself. After reading Dr. Eppele's reviews on Yelp I was very excited to find a female doctor whom many claimed was a great communicator and caring person. I made an appointment online for 10:10am today. I came to the office and the receptionist said in a rude tone, "You know your appointment was at 10:00 right?". I responded saying that I was pretty positive that my appointment was at 10:10. She said " No it was at 10:00 and you're going to have to wait or reschedule". I asked her how long of a wait to expect. She curtly said "I don't know". While standing there I pulled up a confirmation e-mail showing her that the appointment was at 10:10 and handed my phone to her. She once again said "well I don't know". At this point I cancelled the appointment all together and left. I'm sure Dr. Eppele is an amazing doctor as everyone suggests. Unfortunately I did not and will not get the opportunity to see her due to bad service from the receptionist. I refuse to go to any business where people say "I don't know" and thinks that suffices as an answer. Especially when I have an online confirmation. That is simply ridiculous. I suggest that anyone interested in seeing this doctor make an appointment in person or over the phone. But then again, they might not honor that either! Dr. Eppele is great. Truly takes the time to understand the questions or concerns you have. Should you being dealing with something that you cannot get an immediate answer about, she will take the time to run tests, and research what might be going on. I have personally seen her a few times, and each time she comes in remembering who I am. Appointments are also quite easily accessible. I would definitely recommend her as a DR should you be in search for a new DR for yourself or your family. read more

it took me 6 years to find a great doctor. I found Dr. Eppele for my kids and was so happy to know that she takes patients all ages. It's very hard to find a doctor who would take time answering questions in a simple language that even my 6-yr-old daughter understands. Dr. Epple never makes me feel rushed or stupid to ask questions! I don't feel like I go to see a "DOCTOR" but a friend! The nurse is also very friendly and helpful. I went in for a cough that I have had for 2 weeks. Dr. Eppele was just fantastic! She really cares about her patients. She really listens and asks all the right questions to really get down to what is causing your illness. Dr. Eppele is an outstanding doctor, and if we could clone her it would change the medical profession. All the "negative" reviews are not of her, but of the staff, who are not her direct employees but those of the medical center, so she cannot be held personally responsible if they are curt or busy. It is not the staff who are treating you, but Dr. Eppele, and if you are fortunate enough to get in to see her, and you decline because the receptionist questioned your appointment time (!) the only person you are hurting is yourself. I hope for your sake and that of your family, you will not let those quibbles dissuade you from getting the best medical care of your life. read more

My experience with Dr Eppele has been bittersweet. I feel bad writing this review because Dr Eppele really is a great doctor, she's very nice, very knowledgeable and very attentive. She's really a remarkable doctor and I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat. I wish her staff was at the same level as her, but It saddens me that I can't say the same about her staff. It is almost impossible to get a hold of anyone in her office. They're always "busy" which I understand, the office does stay pretty busy, but when you're a patient, you're also a client, you're paying for services and it's important to feel that they care and that they value your time as well. Customer service is pretty much non-existent here. At the beginning, when I started coming here things were good, but as time has progressed, the level of customer service has dropped tremendously. I have been trying to get something in my medical records changed because they made a mistake, my lab work shows something different and they refuse to talk to me about it because they're too busy and they want me to come in an pay for an appointment when they have lab work which they also sent me records of, showing that I don't have that medical condition. I am writing this review after weeks of trying to get a hold of them, I have left messages which they claimed they haven't heard (and this comes from the operator because the doctor's office is too busy to speak to me) and they talk to me like I'm being an annoyance because I keep calling them to try to speak to them. The last thing the operator said to me is that I have to keep leaving messages, that she talked to one of the girls in the office and was advised to tell me that if they don't answer, I simply have to schedule an appointment to see the doctor about correcting my medical records. Is this a joke??? I've never seen or heard anything like this before, they simply show me how little they care about my time and money as well. What I understand from that conversation is that I have to take time off work, to go pay for an unnecessary medical visit so they can correct a mistake they made? I am not calling because I want to annoy anyone, I am calling because I need help, I need that documentation or else I wouldn't waste my time calling. I am very disappointed, sad and disgusted. I do recommend Dr Eppele dearly, I do wish her staff was more professional. I would from the bottom of my heart recommend some customer service training for her staff to keep everyone happy. I'm sure Dr Eppele's staff are all great people, but they need to be more competent and not have just one person in charge that knows everything but share the knowledge among themselves so that they are all prepared to help. read more

As the other negative reviews have stated, this review is more about her office than her as a Dr. She was a kind woman and took the time to talk me through issues when I was with her. However, waiting to see her and trying to get into contact with her has been a complete nightmare. When you are dealing with your health you do not want to have to wait for weeks to hear back from her. One week I called 5 times and left messages (because not one person EVER answered the phone), and it took two weeks to hear back...but by then I was already out of town. I finally made the decision to switch offices because I cannot stand how rude the people in her office have been and how long it took to hear back from her. Not to mention that when I did get an appointment there was always a very long wait...one time I waited in the lobby and the exam room for a total of TWO HOURS before she came in. I would not recommend this Dr. solely based off of her horrible office. read more

Dr. Eppele is by far the best doctor I have ever had. She also likes to go the natural route, and will recommend herbal or natural remedies to help with some of your conditions. However, it takes well over a month to get an appointment. In addition, it takes so long to hear back about results from tests that you did. When you're a patient waiting for the phone to ring to hear back from the doctor, the wait can be excruciating. I've called numerous times and left messages, logged into the online patient portal and left messages, and still it takes weeks to hear back. It honestly makes you feel like you can't move forward with certain parts of your life because you're waiting to know what the results say or your waiting for a referral. I'm sad to say that it's in my best interest to look for another doctor. Dr. Eppele you are fantastic, but maybe you need to stop accepting new clients and pay more attention to the ones you currently have. read more

I had a very bad experience with this doctor and the staff. I was told my co-payment is $15 after they checked my benefits. However after the appointment I was charged $150. The staff, Ashely, called me several times before the appointment, never did she mention $150 fee. When I later inquired Claudia Appele accused me of lying and said Ashley has in her notes that she spoke to me about my fees. She also said I should have checked my benefits myself. Dr. Eppele is a wonderfully caring doctor. She has provided excellent care for my family for the last few years. She is genuinely interested in our overall well being and health. She takes time to listen and provide excellent medical advice regarding treatment. Dr. Eppele is very knowledgeable and provides traditional medical treatment options as well as homeopathic remedies. After having two bad experiences with doctors in the last year I decided to go online to do a little research. Glad I came across the reviews here about Dr. Eppele. Being a new patient I expected a day or two wait time in getting an appointment. I was quite surprised when I got an immediate phone call back from Dr. Eppele's office five minutes after leaving a message. The nurse said I could be seen right away. Upon arrival I was welcomed with a smile. Dr. Eppele was as friendly and professional as stated in the reviews. Understanding and knowledgeable. Wasn't rushing me out the door and took the time to answer my questions. She actually smiles and cares. Trust me when I say you'll be very happy to have her as your doctor. Dr Eppele is absolutely THE best family doctor! I went through few doctors before we were lucky enough to find her. Some doctors/offices were so busy that wait time was 2-3 hours even with appointments and, because they are so busy, they don't have enough time for you as a patient. I don't know how Dr Eppele manages it, because she is also VERY busy, but somehow the wait time is never long and she spends enough time with her patients and she actually remembers her patients! She listens, she makes suggestions and recommendations for future references, she cares. Her staff (Alex & Ana are also awesome!) also know their patients. If I need prescription refills, all I have to do is call one of them! I think this is what family practice and doctor should be about - knowing you and your family! Dr Eppele and her office sure knows me and my family! I had a chance to switch to another insurance (Kaiser) this year & lower our monthly premiums, however, the only reason why I haven't done that WAS BECAUSE of how great Dr Eppele is and how comfortable I am seeing this doctor and trusting her with my daughter's and my own health! Professional, courteous, caring, very intelligent, knowledgeable & innovative - highly recommend her! And, to add a word about how busy her office gets - yes they are very busy & yes, they don't always answer the phone or return message right away BUT, at the most I had to leave 2 messages and Alex always made sure to call me back, even after 5pm!
