He was super friendly and even recommended some places to stop on our route. First time in Wisconsin, super friendly people! We were lucky to stop here, thank you!

In addition to their meat products, you'll find cheese from award-winning cheese makers like Widmer's Brick and Vern's sharp cheddar. Expect to find favorite stand-bys, too, like string cheese, cheese spreads, and varieties of squeaky curds. (Crackers for your cheese, too!) You'll find shelves full of condiments, mustards (ketchup on a brat is verboten!) pickled veggies, jams, jellies, maple syrup and honey. Most are made in Wisconsin including products from Door County's most famous orchard. (Some honey is imported from Pennsylvania.) You'll also find a remarkable variety of soft drinks and sodas in flavors you'll recognize, some you never heard of and and others you never dreamed of. Where this store really shines is in sausage making. You'll find an unbelievable assortment of summer sausages, hot dogs, beef sticks, and over 40 varieties of bratwurst. You'll find liver sausage and braunschweiger side-by-side (there IS a difference) Thuringer and sausage with a kick! If you live in Omro, Eureka, Berlin, Redgranite or even Oshkosh, this is a necessary market for you. If you're a weekender on your way to Upnorth, take a detour on 23 west from I-41 and stop here to stock up on your weekend cookout and snacking needs. Seriously, give this market a try! This place is special. Stop in and pick up some of their outstanding cheese and family recipe sausages. You'll thank me later.

Country Fresh Meats can tell you exactly where their beef, pork and chicken products come from. And by that, I mean where the cows, pigs and chickens come from. There really is not a comparison to a regular grocery store. My wife and I went in today and bought two value boxes of meat. The first was a variety pack and for $140 we got 12 pounds of ground chuck, four thick-cut pork chops, two T-bone steaks a sirloin steak a pork butt roast country spareribs, two cut up chicken fryers one whole roasting chicken and two packages of drumettes. In addition, we got the two porterhouse two T-bone meat box for $65.99. I know that may seem like a lot of money, but meat overall is expensive and we have enough steak now, probably, leading into the winter. My favorite part about Country Fresh Meats is that we noticed the difference in the quality of the meat. Sometimes my wife in a moment of weakness will buy a couple of steaks from the local grocery store and she is always disappointed. Occasionally, she will buy some Bubba Burgers instead of the ground chuck burgers from Country Fresh Meats, and she is always disappointed. The only time we notice any amount of difference is when we buy meat boxes that come with frozen meat. They are still far superior to anything sold in the local grocery store, but it doesn't taste as good as when we grab a fresh steak out of the meat case I'll take that any day of the week. If you want quality and value, Country Fresh Meats should be your butcher of choice.

I found a some meats and cheeses in the wine building that has free samples of wine with a sign out front that said venison sausage and not knowing what they had I went in. WRM had a small section of game meat sausages with elk, venison and buffalo in various forms which I grabbed the venison sticks. The venison sticks were very good and reminded me of some that I had a year ago from a local deer processor which I liked but I could not buy because it was shared with me from a deer hunt, you can't buy it in the store. After tasting the first one I was saddened that I only bought one package because I had the last one today and it's all gone. I would definitely try more items from WRM when I come across them again and buy more items to take with me.
