So grateful my daughter was part of a good high school that supported their students and communities. I have since found a few parks that have either dedicated pickleball courts and/or tennis courts that have pickleball court lines. I have even found one park where you need to bring your own net, but the pickleball lines are present. Anyway, Farnsworth Park has been my go-to park for outdoor pickleball play lately. It has 4 beautiful dedicated pickleball courts and one tennis court with pickleball lines (bring your own net). People here are nice and friendly. It's not too competitive. Everyone just want to play pickleball and have some fun. This park is huge and lovely. Tons of picnic area. Lots of trees with great shade. Baseball field, basketball courts, children playground area, amphitheater, and so much more. I love this park! I wish I live closer to this park so I can come here to play pickleball and enjoy the rest of the park more often. I'm only here on the weekends when I can make it. Maybe when I get a place of my own later on, I'll consider living nearby or as close as possible if I can afford it LOL. Anyhoo, this is a must visit park!

This little big park really surprised me, not just with its street and lot parking, but with its layout and abundance. I came here on a date night to see an outdoor performance of Cabaret (one of my top 5 favorite musicals), which was amazing!! We went to support our pal Avery who was in the show... I was yesterday's years old before I knew Farnsworth Park existed let alone was a park with an Amphitheater, plenty of seating for concerts, plays and productions which I'm told they've had a large assortment of in the past. The park overall is very clean, easy to navigate and has plenty of public restrooms though they seem to close them around 8ish/9 which is understandable though should have some flexibility in the late spring and summer months, especially for performances + school will be out which means kids, families and everyone will be out later. If you ever have a chance to drive up to this lush green hidden gem encompassing Mount Curve Avenue, Marengo Avenue, Lake Avenue and Concha Street with various addresses off each street (all going to the same place)... Then soak it all up.

Because of that, I can almost always find a court. Parking is generally not an issue either, which is a big plus. The street-level area has a playground, but to be honest, it feels a bit shady. The restroom is also on this level, and from the tennis courts below, you can clearly hear toilets flushing, which is... not ideal. Downstairs, there are two tennis courts and a practice wall where you can hit against the wall or even play handball. Functionally, it serves its purpose well if you're just here to play. This is a park I would only visit during the day. While it's convenient and usually quiet, I wouldn't feel comfortable coming here at night.

This park was actively used by families, kids, people walking their dogs, and even a personal trainer. Despite the heavy usage, the park seemed to be large enough to accommodate everyone without feeling crowded. Would definitely come back to this park again. It is a great spot to people watch, do some dog training and even some ball time with my dog on a long line. The park is open to the streets and not fenced so would not recommend letting your dog offleash to run.

We go for great walks in the neighborhood, usually with a set destination or a touch of Pokemon Go adventuring. Loads of shade, benches, sidewalk pathways and places to picnic. It's very local as well as family friendly, pet friendly and jungle gym kid oriented. They have some great courts for a few sports - basketball, handball, volleyball, pickleball, and a small softball area. With nearly 5 acres of greenery in four directions you'll enjoy this hidden gem park (typically clean all over including restrooms - where you'll find drinking fountains closeby). Parking is easy in a mostly super mellow residential area, however there isn't a physical lot like you'd see at large parks. Take your pick of Mountain Street, Mar Vista Avenue, Wilson Avenue or Bell Street (the four that encompass it). One of the parks in the city of Pasadena, Los Angeles you'll see with Community Composting (Hubs), tons of trash cans and continuous beautification.

This is a very nice and quiet park near the freeway and the Huntington Hospital. This is also in a…read morenice neighborhood. I come here to walk and hang out during my lunch breaks. It's surprisingly clean for a park. I believe this park is pet friendly but I think they need to be on a leash. I only give it 3 stars because I've seen some sketchy homeless people here hanging out by the bathrooms from time to time. Please keep your children near at all times. There is a large grass area perfect for a picnic date. I've seen teen couples doing picnics and it's the cutest thing. Parking isn't so easy. The residents use street parking. And I know some patients from the hospital/ medical facilities are parking near the park because it's free.

We…read morestopped by Eagle Rock and there was no dine-in, so we drove around to look for somewhere to eat and we came across this park. It looks like it's in a nice quiet neighborhood. When we visited there wasn't a lot of people, but they have a tennis court, a basketball court and a small little playground for kids. They had a few tables around the park. There's not a lot of traffic around the park so it seems safe for your kids if you plan to bring them to play. If you're from around the area and need to take a breather and time to walk, this is a good place to walk around. I saw a few joggers, but it was mostly quiet and hardly anyone around. Since COVID19 a lot of restaurants are not allowing you to dine-in, so this is a good little place to picnic with your friends or family. We ended up staying in the car and parked right by the park. We were in a rush since we came around the holidays, so we could not stay to enjoy it. If I'm ever in the area and need a place to go for a picnic and Eagle Rock isn't allowing dine-in, then I would definitely come back. It's not crowded, it's clean, it looks safe and there's a few benches to hangout. I did not get a chance to check the restrooms, but it did not look bad from the outside view. The grass and trees around the park look well taken care of by the city.

Parking was easy, in a lot right near the playground. There were a few parties going on but the park was small enough that we had no trouble finding the right one. The park was great, well kept and inviting. Even the bathroom wasn't bad--I generally avoid park bathrooms but had to attend Leo, and this one wasn't disgusting. The playground was nice and our four-year-old Leo B. enjoyed himself running around the play structure. I liked that the party was set up at tables close to the playground, so we didn't have to spend the whole party fighting our child's desire to run and climb. He also liked being at the party, especially when the piñata came out. Our toddler had a good time, too, and took a little nap in his stroller after a walk on the smooth concrete path winding through the park grounds. We live pretty far from La Crescenta, so we won't be spending too much time here, but I really liked Dunsmore Park. It worked well as a party venue and was just an all-around pleasant place for a weekend family outing. We'd make good use of it if we were in the neighborhood.

** Review with a toddler during the summer**…read more Came here with my 3 year old and another one of our family friends and the boys LOVED the splash pad! This was the first time that my son has been to a splash pad, so I didn't know what to expect. I liked that the splash pad wasn't overwhelming with water, and it was young-kid friendly. The structures where the water came from were colorful and fun. My son was skeptical at first, but after he slightly warmed up, he had a blast! Definitely wear water shoes or sandals as the ground is dirty (like any other outdoor place). Parking is limited. I couldn't find the park parking lot so I parked in the library which was a small lot. Not sure if it's just street parking otherwise. I like that there's lots of shade over the playground. On a hot summer day, the shaded area was perfect! The playground is also kid-friendly, ages 4-9 I think. It was a bit challenging for my 3 year old, but he managed. The park also has a dedicated skating area and basketball court, which I appreciated. Only downside is that there were some groups BLASTING non-family friendly music out of their boom box. It was VERY loud and disruptive. We left the park early because of it.
