    Playground with the animal structures
    Lily V.

It has been quite a while since I've been to this playground. I used to play here as a little kid with my siblings more than two decades ago! I remember there was only a few slides shaped like animals at the time. Happy to see more! We got lost at first, we parked in the parking area and didn't see the animals. We had to go through a pathway to the east side back and found it! Plenty of tables and seating areas to have a nice picnic. There's enough shade for adults to sit and watch their kids. During the hot sun, I'd be careful of the slides, it can get really hot! A few of the structures were enclosed in gates and may be due to renovation like the Octopus and Snail. But my kid loved the dragon slides! He was scared of the whale slide since it had teeth and the mouth was really dark read...

Favorite park brings back my childhood memories if you grew up in SGV it's like you've been here too! There's a regular park in the front but if you go across the bridge located to the left you'll see this part of the park in the back. Plenty of parking available including on the streets. There are also bathrooms on site. Kids love this place.

Just a few of the things to climb and slide on in the playground

Somehow this park is both a San Gabriel Valley institution and one of its best kept secrets. It's definitely worth checking out if you have kids, or want to pretend you're a kid on TikTok. This park has some really amazing concrete play sets in the shapes of sea life and fantasy creatures. I mean, it's hard to pass up the chance to climb on an octopus or slide out of a whale's mouth. These structures are pretty good size and the size of the slides- or the climb to them- might intimidate very young kids. The good news is there is also a more traditional playground in the front of the park- so you have some options. Don't be thrown off that you don't see this playground when you first pull up. YOU MUST WALK DOWN A SHORT PATH TO IT, so don't think you are in the wrong place. Definitely worth the drive to check out. Have fun! Let your kids have fun too. Stop hogging the slides Mom.

This was such a fun playground. Lots of climbing for the kiddos, and the sculptures are so whimsical and cute! The park is very clean, and has a lot of native plants around the walkways. Really great park.

I grew up playing here, and now my kids love it! We call it "The Dragon Park." The only drawback is that it's sand at the park, but the kids don't mind. Plenty of shade and benches too.

Clean large park with adjacent play structure. Sand pit is tucked away and only really accesible by walking to it.

The slide structures are definitely the highlight. They also have a workout area for adults which I haven't seen before at a playground.

I've seen rocket ship parks before but this one is the best of them. It's extremely spacious. There are picnic bench areas as well. They also have a bathroom. There's plenty of parking in a private lot. I was happy there was no sand nor wood chips so it didn't get messy. The bad: It seems like the overhang or structure for shade above the picnic benches are under construction or removed.
