Angela was pretty booked for color, so I scheduled a haircut with her first to get in a bit sooner and see if she would be a good fit for me. Before my appt, I also sent photos of my Inspiration haircolors/styles via text and in turn, she had me send her current pics of my hair and a summary of my color history. What I loved and appreciated was Angela's honesty and frankness. She didn't sugar coat anything and based on photos alone questioned if my hair was even healthy enough to withstand another bleach transformation to achieve the look of my inspiration pics. On the day of my haircut appt- she assessed the damage and confirmed my hair wasn't healthy enough at that time to get the results I was looking for with color and it would probably break if I bleached it again this soon. Not what I wanted to hear- but it is what it is...and I had consulted with another stylist prior at a different salon who essentially said the same thing. Angela spent a long time with me listening to my hair goals and examining my hair and we came up with a game plan focused on improving the health of my hair in preparation for my Inspiration pics. Loved the haircut and the vibes w/ Angela and the salon so I excitedly scheduled an appt a month out for the color. What Angela did was amazing! The brassiness/orange/warm tones disappeared, my grays were gone, and with a B3 treatment felt soft, healthy and had amazing shine. I was so impressed I booked her for the same thing again! I am beyond thrilled to have found a new salon and stylist with Angela at Shenanigans. She is super kind, professional, on time, upfront and talented. Shenanigans is right off the 91 frwy in a small strip mall with a mexican restaurant and Farmer Boys restaurant. The salon is clean, huge, and with alot of natural lighting. The other stylists and staff were all very professional, welcoming and friendly as well. Scheduling appts is always super easy, communications clear, and the text/email reminders about upcoming appts very appreciated. Thank you Angela and Shenanigans!!! See you again soon!

I let her know I just wash and go - no blow drying, no styling, and for maybe the first time ever, I didn't feel judged for it. She listened and wasn't scared to cut my hair short. I absolutely love it, and appreciate that I didn't have to use a ton of energy on small talk. I waited a bit past my appointment time because she was giving the client before me the attention she deserved, too. She let me know it would be a little longer and that's perfect etiquette in my book. I'll definitely be back!

This review is for Ariel…read more This was my first time here. I walk in and there's one other lady waiting. There's nobody at the front desk. So I go around to the other side but nobody seems to acknowledge. I decide to sit down and hopefully someone comes by and assists. I waited for a while and was just about to leave. Ariel comes in and has an appointment with the lady who was sitting next to me. She sees me there and asks me if I needed help. I explain to her what I need (which was a quick trim on my bangs) and she was so kind enough to do it for me. Not only was she helpful and did a great job but she was just the sweetest! With a smile on her face the entire time. This is the customer service that is needed. It makes you feel welcomed and makes your day better. I will definitely be back for future appointments.

I love that she took her time to ensure my hair turned out exactly how I wanted it. I've been to many salons throughout the years, and none of them have ever cut my hair the way I wanted it till now. I especially liked that she was able to preserve my length, but also got rid of all the dead parts + gave life to my hair. I have very thick, abundant, long hair that can be hard to work with, so I am very picky with who I trust to cut my hair. However, Ana knows exactly how to work with my type of hair, and there was never a moment of doubt while she was cutting it as she would consult with me before making any major cuts. I also asked for whispy bangs, and she let me know ahead of time that I would have to train them for them to sit the way they do in the picture due to my middle part. She is transparent, caring, and I am in love with her work! I highly recommend getting your haircut by her! I never leave reviews, but her work deserves recognition. I was looking for a low-maintenance hime cut that was a bit shorter since my hair has a lot of split ends on the bleached portion/partially highlighted sections, along with a face framing style. She was so sweet and chatted with me for a bit when I was conscious (I was fading in and out of sleeping) and helped me charge my phone during the entire process. I left feeling like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders (or head, in this instance!). I'm not super knowledgeable on hairstyles, but she definitely helped me understand what look I was going for before cutting my hair which I really appreciated! The entire process of a gloss and haircut took around 2 hours (as expected at the booking) and cost $130.
