Faye was amazingggg!! Omg she has magic hands. My hair at first was so dull and damage and I went in for a basic hair cut but she transformed my hair! It feels so lightweight and healthier. She also gave me so much advice on how to maintain a healthy scalp and what not. I can't wait to go again!! 10 stars! You will not regret it!! After searching Yelp, I made an appointment with Faye, the owner. She immediately said she had to take 2 inches off my hair because it was uneven and had "holes" in it. At first I said no but after listening and looking I decided I would let her do what she thought was best. She quoted 60 dollars for a cut, blow dry and style and then proceeded to do a single line cut along the bottom of my hair in one fell swoop. I have only had that type of cut from beginners who don't know how to pull it up and do it section by section. She didn't trim the sides at all. When I pointed this out, she made excuses and then still did not trim the sides. My hair is long, to the middle of my back. It feels thick but is quite fine. Then she said she wanted to layer it a bit and it would be a different kind of layer and that this would make it not so heavy. I did not say I felt it was heavy or that I had a problem with it being heavy, which, I didn't, I loved that my hair was thick and do not believe it was ever heavy due to how fine my hair is. She did not explain what she was about to do and it is hard to explain in general. Basically took strips of hair,combing upward and cut pieces out of the middle of each strip, approx. 4 inches up from the bottom to "thin" each section. I was a bit shocked and had no time to stop her as she did not explain what she was going to do before just doing it. She assured me it would be great. It wasn't. I'm not entirely sure why a hairdresser who says my hair has holes in it would add more holes? I was cringing the whole time. This is not even the worst of it. When I first walked in, they had Christian music playing which was nice. While getting my hair washed I heard several of the hair dressers talking about bible studies and church, all good things but in the midst of this, I was being given a hard sale on their hair product by Faye. When she heard I had just recently bought a new shampoo and conditioner she turned to her assistant all indignant that I had already bought shampoo! Like it was not a good thing. The more she talked about the product, the more I was curious about it so I began to ask how much it was, she told me they were having a big sale on it and only had one kit left and that even on sale it was expensive, 60 dollars for the Unite Recover Starter Kit. 145.00 out the door for a hair cut, Starter Kit and 15.00 tip (major mistake plus the 60 dollar kit ended up being 69 dollars) that I found out later you can purchase online for 19 dollars less at regular price, not sale. It was obvious after all was said and done that she makes a lot of her money off convincing people to purchase this Unite product line. When her assistant was done blow drying my hair, (she almost burned me pretty badly when she got a phone call and picked up her cell, trying to balance her cell, the dryer and brush while talking on the phone. If I had not moved quickly she would have done some serious damage Her response was, oh, did I burn you? I said, almost and she didn't even respond, just went back to her phone call.) I expected Faye to begin styling it but she was done and had used her scissors to shave off the frizzy/fly away pieces along the surface of the hair so it looked smoother. I still did not realize the full depth of what had happened and made an appointment with her to get my hair trimmed and colored in 8 weeks time. The quote was 165.00 with 10.00 a tube extra if she had to use more coloring on my hair. It gets worse. The smell of the product on me was horrible. (I did really love how the product made my hair feel) I only noticed at first that it was different but as the day went on it became stronger and more obvious. I wasn't even sure it was the Unite until later but I confirmed it was after trying the kit only once. The really bad part was when my husband got home, I hadn't even mentioned it and he asks me, what is that smell?? After confirming it was my hair, his impression of it was that it smells like BUG KILLER. So not cool. So, worse still, I contacted her asking if she used any other product line and if not, could I bring my own for the coloring appointment. She finally came back with she had never done that before and it would need to be a good reason. So I explained to her what happened and I was very surprised that she was willing to give me a full refund, which she did. It was very nice and the only reason for 2 stars. I wish this had ended up as a better experience because she is really nice but the hard sale on the hair kit and the lack of service given for such a high price on a disastrous haircut means I won't be going back or giving her another chance. P.S. Is it just me or do the 3 reviews below appear to be all different people yet the hair looks exactly the same? Weird. read more

Been working by this Salon for years and decided why not give a try. Went in for a cut and balayage color I was set on for a few weeks.. Why didn't I come in sooner!? Wow, I was so happy with the results Faye and Yvonne did an amazing job! I will definitely be returning and highly recommend if you want a great job with friendly people. I've been a long time client of Faye's (more than 10 years) and I will never go to another salon. She uses UNITE hair care products, which I have found to keep my hair healthy and beautiful. Faye and her girls attend many continuing education classes so they are always current on new styles and ideas. I have such trust in Faye that I literally sit in the chair and let her work her magic with little to no input by me. I have absolutely loved every single new idea she has ever had. I give them no stars but I got to put 1 star to make this review... This spot is such a discriminating place!!! walked in with my mom and the lady who worked there was extremely rude. She gave us a glance and turned back to what she was doing. She must have been blind for a second or something. So I was like ok yk so me and my mom were talking as we were waiting for her and what seems like forever she finally comes to us and asks "do you guys have a question, can i help you?" Rudely. And I told her that my mom just needed her hair styled for her wedding this weekend and she says "well you guys need to come by appointment" like girl we ain't trying to do the hair style today that's why we came to make the appointment and ask questions. She was also looking at my moms hair like if she didn't even want to do it and i felt bad for my mom because she felt discriminated. So after she had asked that, I told her we just wanted to know an estimate of how much it will be so she didn't even try to make an appointment but just put my moms name and phone # down in what looks like an old notebook they had laying around there and told us they were going to give us a call back. So I already know we ain't getting that call back but I mean good cuz I wouldn't even want my mom going back there it was just sad to see how they were looking at her hair and just being so rude. read more

I came to Faye Salon because I was in dire need of a haircut. The last person that cut my hair really botched up my bangs and I was overdue. Faye did a wonderful job, not only with the haircut but also explaining what she was doing at each step. Gave me some tips on how to take care of my dry scalp issues as well. I recently got my hair cut here and the girl didn't blend my layers at all . At first glance when she was done it looked fine but she flipped the end under . It wasn't until I straightened my hair that I noticed how bad it looks.The back is two separate lengths and looks choppy the sides have no layers at all and overall I'm not satisfied with this cut at all. I cannot say enough nice things about this salon. After having my second baby I realized I desperately needed my hair cut. I called to see if they had anything available and the fit me in only a couple of hours. I had to bring my newborn with me and they were so accommodating. I decided this review was not fair to all the stylist at this salon & because of this I will say that I did not like the cut, that Addy gave me. Nice lady, but my hair looks like she cut it w/a dull kitchen scissor. It is so chopped, so uneven that I am going to give it another month to grow and then go back to my previous salon and hopefully they will be able to do something with it! read more

I would strongly recommend this Salon. The salon is pleasant and accommodating as soon you step in the place. My Stylist, Veronica, is top notch. She takes the time to ask what it is you would like and provides honest feedback. I first came to Veronica when she was working at another salon. My hair was chemically damaged by a stylist of which I was once a frequent customer of at a salon in the city of Redlands. I came to Veronica as a "walk in" client. She took a look at my chemically damaged hair and said she couldn't high light my hair due to the damage. Right away, I respected her honesty and respected that I just wasn't another new client she could collect a service for just because I asked for high lights when my hair definitely couldn't handle any additional chemical treatment. I have been a loyal client of Veronica's and Veronica has never failed me. My hair is healthy again, it has taken almost a year and Veronica worked with me the entire time.
