After years of experience and having to move my children from school to school because of work-life…read morebalance, I feel with deep confidence this was one of the best elementary schools my children attended. Special Thanks: - Dr. Gary Gerstner and prior principal - Ms. Zachach (pardon the misspelling) - IEP staff - Speech therapist - Dolly Chatterton - Lilia (a name similar to Lily) - Parent/Community Advisory Committee - Parents in action Let me give you some context to compare amongst the other reviewers vs my review as a parent. When my children attended this school, I was a single parent, attending UCI as an engineering student, with a child in the IEP program, and having to manage my children's mother who was later found neglectful by CPS. All of this while working at Disney in customer service and born into poverty. Therefore, I had minimal chances to succeed as a parent, let alone the patience for all the possible mistakes I might encounter from being inexperienced. The Community: The people here are great and the kids are decently behaved. There might be a conflict between children every now and then but they do resolve it. The Parents In Action (PIA) cares about making a difference in the children's involvement with school activities. I've never attended a PTA meeting, sorry. The Staff: I don't like to generalize but they were awesome. I especially recall Dolly and Lilia (similar name to Lily). I put Dr Gary Gerstner and possibly the staff through some stuff with CPA getting involved, like the conflicts between the mother and I. In the end, I wish they knew it saved my children's life. Parent/Community Advisory Committee: The Advisory Committee is another level. I recommend attending if you're a parent looking for advance information regarding how to make the best of your interaction with the school system. For example, I asked what was the best way I can make the most out of the IEP meetings with advance resources. The person who answered my question was highly educated and very prepared. They taught me the steps on making a meaningful impact at each IEP meeting. IEP: The help in the beginning was profound. However, to make the changes necessary to improve as a parent for a child in the IEP, I had to be more involved. The specialists and teachers knew my limitations and made the best decisions available to them. The absolute best advice I received was from Ms. Zachach (pardon the misspelling), to make my child love reading and there is no limit to how much they should read.

On Weds Sept 26, I went to pick up my daughters and none, absolutely NONE of her caretakers were…read morethere . All of their beloved teachers and preschool director were gone . Anyone at that point could have picked up my girls from school . There was no verification at pick up and no introductions- how incredibly infuriating! Noticeably , there was a very tall blonde lady lurking around who I later found out is the the founder of the campus and goes by "Dr Kim" who I wouldn't even call a doctor . Where has this lady been all these years??? The next day , I approached Kim Huynen (goes by "doctor") and told her that we, as parents, deserve the RIGHT to know what has happened to our teachers and our school, to which she spastically responds "No , I don't have to tell you anything . I can close down this school today if I wanted to." What kind of person says this ? Other parents emailed her and/or voiced their concerns to her face-to-face. Via email , she would politely and politically respond with a blanketed statement, "happy to talk to you" copy and paste response. When she was approached in person , there was nothing but disdain for the parents . She's a natural fake , you see? If Kim can verbalize and demonstrate that much disdain for parents , imagine the stress, anxiety , fear she is putting on her staff ever day. My children's beloved preschool is gone. It was built up by all her wonderful teachers (Ms Christina , Ms Michelle , Ms Nansy, Ms Emily) for all those wonderful years and it's all gone. The director and teachers have been abruptly forced out along with their students . However, I understand that Ms Christina is still there (reduced to fewer hrs) and my daughter misses her terribly . It's been over two weeks and she still references Ms Christina's sayings, sings her songs , talks about her lessons , misses all the cool conversations she had with Ms Christina. And I can't fault Ms Christina for staying . Everyone has to do what's best for their family . But if you're looking for a great program - this is no longer IT . All that's left are preschool-aged children who's parents teach at the campus and a couple kids on scholarship ($$$$$$). And all my family and I have left are the beloved memories of an incredible , play-based , educational program that once was. My daughter always used to come home with dirt under her nails, sand in her shoes, sticks in her hair , paint on her clothes , rocks , leaves, flowers she used to pick out and collect for me at the end of the day, and/or change of clothes . Children learn through play- that's their occupation. She was playing , learning a TON, and always having fun at Del Sol Preschool. The preschool environment was constantly changing and stimulating for children. No child was ever left behind under the care of the preschool staff. They actively worked to create a welcoming, safe environment for students of many different languages and cultures that celebrated diversity without sacrificing the program quality. All that came to abrupt end when the corrupt Kim decided to throw her weight around and ruin the lives of children and their families for some reason unbeknownst to me . Good luck finding out why that is... she will give out various reasons (she's a good talker) but none of which to be true when they supposedly run as a non-profit AND the preschool program enrollment was as high as it was . So whatever excuse Kim gives you, it's a lie . She's got a hidden agenda or to hide something unfathomable. This Kim lady is horrible and the existing preschool / new preschool teachers have to deal with her fraud-like ways - how very sad . Unless they're part of the corruption- who even knows? I wouldn't put anything pass Kim at this point. I've called licensing to complain and I've been informed that the preschool has been given a citation. Look at my reviews - I hate to complain. I even gave the preschool program 5 stars just last year. Of course now, they are probably doing their best to be in compliance knowing that parents have been complaining. I'm sure there are many parents that are left with more confusion/questions than answers . So I'm going to help out those parents and hope that they see this. Here's all you need to know and how to file a complaint: Del Sol Preschool facility license # is 304370243. The annonymous complaint hotline is 1-844-538-8766 The Orange County licensing office number is 714-703-2800. The analyst assigned to Del Sol is Adrian Cortez. Adrian Cortez's email address is: adrian.cortez@dss.ca.gov His mailing address 750 The City Drive Ste. #250 MS 29-10 Orange, CA 92868. Do your research and stay away from this preschool. It's not what it once was for all the wonderful years my daughters attended this school. There was never a turnover , never a complaint until Kim decided to show up. I'll also be posting this exact review on Facebook for all the billions to see. Copy paste.

Our son has been attending Cypress Early Explorers (formerly Cypress Learning Tree) for a year now…read moreand we're so grateful for the entire staff. Everyone is very welcoming and attentive to all the children. Our son has a couple food-related allergies (peanut and dairy) and they do their best to accommodate. Over the past few months, they have renovated the classrooms and made some improvements to the large play yard. There is also a centralized app (Brightwheel) where parents receive important updates, make payments, receive photo updates, and check-in/out their child/children and I have not run into any issues so far. Parking can be a bit busy on random occasions but they have enforced a new rule that prevents cars from blocking the main driveway and there's plenty of street parking if the actual spots are taken. We're lucky enough to walk to CEEP on occasion but when we do drive, there's almost always parking available for a quick pick up or drop off. Lastly, the curriculum and schedules are very well-balanced and our son always comes home sharing exciting updates about what he learned, what he saw, and/or what kinds of arts and crafts he worked on. I could keep going but I'll end this review by highlighting the excellent operation here and how happy my child (and my wife and I) feel about Cypress Early Explorers Preschool.
