Adults and children…read morealike would mimic her speech and a rude child on the soccer field pointed out the irony that her name had R's in it but she couldn't say them. Her name begins and ends with R, and she began to avoid saying her name when introducing herself or when people would ask her name. This broke my heart and solidified the need to seek speech therapy. She began therapy in February 2024 with Mikayla, and by October/November she had made drastic improvements in the ability to say R's but the habit of saying R sounds the old way was hard to break. It is now January 2025 and our insurance has changed so she is no longer able to attend therapy, but I am so happy to report that she has now mostly broken the habit of saying R's the old way all on her own without reminders, and most importantly can confidently say her own name. I also want to thank Karen for her diligence in working with my insurance company getting the claims paid. Without her extra work getting sessions covered we would not have been able to afford services. I am so grateful to Let's Talk Speech & Language Therapy for helping my daughter.

When my son was 3 years old, I brought him to Chatterbox since he was no longer developing verbally. In fact, he had regressed badly in preschool, and was largely not verbal there during the day. We later had him diagnosed with autism (ASD), and were able to pursue other services, but at the time, all we had was Chatterbox. After the initial intake with Courtney, he was accepted as a patient, and we got on the schedule pretty quickly. I don't believe it is this available or open normally, so I guess we got lucky. We set goals and we were coming to Chatterbox for 30 minute sessions (really 25 minutes) twice a week. We worked on some basic things, but given the later ASD diagnosis, we did what we could here. The end result was that after almost a year, he was verbal again and we met some of our goals. I didn't mind continuing with Chatterbox, but by that point, my son's needs were greater in other areas, so most of his time afterschool was allocated to behavior therapy instead. All in all, we are very thankful for the services that Chatterbox provided. Eternally grateful for the services delivered by Marina, Denny, Amanda, and Jenn. Also thankful to Priscilla for being great to work with from a scheduling and administrative perspective. Anyone who comes here will know right away that the parking lot is comical. The entrance on Cherry actually features bi-directional traffic, even though it's only wide enough for a single vehicle. If I do manage to get in this way, I'll do a quick pass through the lot, and if no spots, I'll make a right in the alleyway and another right on Reagan St., then another right back onto Katella, where there is usually street parking in front of the dentist.

When we asked the instructor about this, she insisted that he was too young to learn and they were unsure why the insurance sent them due to their young age, yet they continued to insist the next appointment would be different (I guess it was a money grab) My son showed no growth during his time here, but incredible growth after deciding to no longer use this company. Also, please make sure you keep your insurance documents handy, as their billing team will change terms in payments without notifying you and then blame someone else (blaming insurance, due to their errors and requesting additional payment. Poor practice being run here.

First off an aide came on campus for days last week and was visibly sick ! So many staff witnessed , she turned out to be Covid positive ! Now this week along with last week it seems as half of staff is out in entire school sick ! They lie about the amount of Covid cases on campus , they allow aides to come on sick she's in the elementary wing by the way ! That aide as well as another Covid positive aide have been seen multiple times around the school with masks down to chin walking around and no admin tells them to wear masks properly , horribly understaffed , not all parents are notified ! The students and staff are not safe ! People are afraid to speak up due to retaliation, One aide was fired last year for joking on Facebook while quarantining , saying he is going to cough on trump supporters and people who don't believe in Covid .. yet an aide can show up sick with COVID exposing wveyone and no disciplinary action is held ? Cal osha needs to be called immediately ! read more

This school is a hidden gem for both children and adults with special needs. They have trained para-educators who are in the classroom with students at a 1:12 student/teacher ratio, specialized therapists, access to a technology lab, art classes, and much more. The adult program serves individuals 22-40 years of age (hard to come by!) with autism spectrum disorder or development disabilities. The instructional staff to participant ratio of this program is 1:3, allowing students to develop their abilities at their own pace. We were very impressed with the staff, facility, and programs when we toured the campus. the experience at this school (SLDC) was very disappointing. the children do not have an encouraging staff, and atmosphere. .. their training,..... if any. .. is not enough. ... as i witnessed. these children deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. excerise caution... all of you that encounter any negative incident. please document. .(.because the unspoken truth is ...."if it is not written down" it never happened, ") this is the truth...these precious children are shamed and some are hurt by SLDC staff. this treatment needs to be exposed.!!!if anyone else has experienced this please YELP!!! read more

Terrible school. It has definitely changed from what it used to be. The teachers they have are non credentialed "teachers" and the so called principal doesn't supervise classrooms to check if teachers are performing. Most classrooms spend the whole day watching movies, and staff on their phones. It has become more of a day care than an actual school. One of the teachers even physical abuses students. And no everyone hides everything, when the issue was brought to the principals attention he simply ignored it. Your student is much better off at a school district. read more

The junior high, high school teacher is such a great Christian role model for the students, both in and out of the classroom. The biblical teaching here is so much stronger than what students get at your church youth groups especially if you attend a small church with less resources. Not sure what will happen in the future when the school gets bigger but the principal has 1:1 meetings with every student to help them choose their courses and college/career paths. It's currently the most affordable Christian private school in OC. If you want a great Christian education that is actually affordable, definitely look into Eastside.

He actually gets excited to go and see his teachers and has memorized all the songs they sing to him. He even transitions from one activity to the next without major meltdowns as he used to. We previously tried a different speech and learning center and my son would dread going. He would have outbursts in the waiting room and not want to participate (even though the staff there seemed just as nice). But there's something about Apple Tree's structure, environment, and teaching methods that really resonate with him. They even have a parent coach and send out newsletters with helpful information that makes navigating a child with delays seem a little less daunting. Plus being able to be in the classroom with him to see him interacting and learning new techniques to manage stressful situations has helped all of us. On top of all that, we started this going to Apple Tree in the middle of COVID, and yet the precautions they take make me comfortable enough to send my 2yo there. The school provides healthy lunches and snacks, makes students wash their hands at least 5 times a day and makes them drink water throughout the day. They even brush their hair when they wake up from a nap and put sun block on the kids if it's hot out. That is love. The academic program has well-prepared my son who is now in Kindergarten. My youngest son now attends, and if he cries when I drop him off, the owner or teacher will even text me with pictures saying that he's stopped crying and is playing with his friends. This extra step of them going out of their way to give me peace of mind means so much. In addition, they teach students to be kind, rooted in prayer and patriotic as well! Both my little ones put their hand over the heart for the Pledge and sing and love patriotic songs now. Overall, I can not recommend this place enough. The kids are happy, healthy and cared for. When dropping off our daughter (The Girl) for Sunday school programs, I noticed the classrooms always appeared inviting, clean, and colorful. I knew the children would be receiving a quality preschool education in a loving environment. My friend has a son the same age as The Girl. He was very quiet and rambunctious. She needed to find more affordable child care and remembered KACC Preschool. She had an easy time with enrollment mid session and the teachers worked with him. He started recognizing the importance of social behavior and began speaking more. When it was time to enroll The Girl in preschool, we researched many other private preschools. We found KACC Preschool offered the best experience and was the most affordable (around $500/month). The school offered Five Day programs, Tuesday/Thursday programs, or Monday/Wednesday/Friday programs. They also offer core session 9am-12pm or full day (early drop off at 7am and pick up as late as 6pm). The school offers a variety of events, library, playground, and helpful staff/teachers.
