The teachers create the most adorable, age-appropriate arts and crafts. She has brought home so many treasures like turkey handprints, green glitter pinecones, and pumpkin worksheets. The school itself is incredibly lively--the front office, doors, and classrooms are always beautifully decorated, often showcasing the children's work and following holiday themes. It's such a warm, joyful environment for learning. When my toddler started at Dragonfly Academy, she was still on diapers, and I was lucky if I could get her to even sit on the toilet. Thanks to the patient and dedicated teachers, she's now fully potty-trained! It warms my heart to see how much she loves her teacher, Ms. Huong, and how excited she is to talk about her classmates. She also comes home with her hair tied in cute hairstyles that are much better than I can do at home haha. She crammed 18 toddlers into a tiny room with not enough toys to share. My coteacher and I did the best we could to make each child feel cared for, but we were severely understaffed. There were many small things she was negligent on but the worst was when she told me not the change their diapers unless it was poop because she didn't have enough staff to take care of "just pee". She would water the lawn and create huge puddles of water where the children played. She would get mad if the children played next to them/in them (what kid can resist a puddle?!). I tried to offer to stay after hours to water the grass (because giant puddles are hazardous for small children in an understaffed school) but she would not compromise. I worked in the two year old room and sometimes they would cry. Every time, Christy the director would come in a reprimand me for letting them cry "too loud" and "she couldn't focus on her paperwork". (I would try to help them work through their feelings and comfort them but she just wanted me to shush them). Christy truly was two-faced. She will be super engaging and nice when you first start your job or enrollment there, but if you don't dance to her tune you will feel her wrath lol. Don't enroll your child here, you do not know what goes on behind the scenes.

My three year old at the time was attending another daycare that only accepted children age two and up. I wanted both of my kids in the same place, so I enrolled them here and I am so grateful I did. My son started here when he was about 11 months old, and from the very beginning you could tell the staff genuinely love and have a true passion for children. My daughter started when she was three and was very shy and scared at first, but her teachers and the staff made her feel so comfortable. She was able to be herself here, just like she is at home. I truly love all the staff and the amazing events they put together. They make every holiday so special and fun for the kids Halloween, Easter, open house events, picture days, and so much more. You can really tell how much effort and love they put into creating these moments, and that's something I truly appreciate as a parent. They even allowed me to have a birthday lunch for my daughter's 4th birthday, and she was beyond thrilled. For my son's 1st birthday, they also made it feel so special. Those little moments mean everything, and it shows how much they truly care about each child. My daughter is now four, turning five, and will be graduating with her TK class. Thanks to this daycare, she already knows her ABCs and colors in Spanish, which is amazing. My one year old son already knows his colors, loves singing, and absolutely loves everyone here. What I also really appreciate is that if there is ever an issue or concern, the staff communicates it kindly and respectfully. She said dad had called and added two others to our son's pick up list. no one informed me I guess people are just allowed to add whoever they want to the pick up list. She added them without my knowledge and as a parent, you should know who your child is picking up it's unfortunate that they do not care for the children safety that they are supposed to be looking after.
