Convenient for its ATM, Linden Superette is large for a deli, and has good, halal sandwiches. It is very clean.

When you dine in they will bring some sliced watermelon, water and rice crackers to the table to start your experience. I ordered a number of different dishes to get a feel for the place, as well as feed the family. The order: walovi/Wanglaoji (can of tea served cold) Scallion Pancakes, Lychee Shrimp Balls, Beef Soup with hand pulled noodles, special dumplings, Mashed Cucumber salad, sausage, and stir fried beef noodles. Overall the food was amazing 9.5/10 The entire meal was delicious, the noodles were perfectly cooked and the dishes full of flavor. The Leychee shrimp balls were excellent, the mashed cucumber salad was refreshing and full of flavor. All the dishes were seasoned well, the special dumplings were a little over seasoned and thus the 9.5 instead of a perfect 10. The tea was refreshing and not overly sweet it was the perfect accompaniment to the meal.

We ordered the Chicken Tikka Naan wrap and the Tandoori wings.. Omg, the wings were soooo tasty. I've never had tandoori wings and now I feel like I've been missing out for so long. Flavorful, tender and cooked to perfection. It was served with ranch which took it up another notch. The chicken Tikka wrap was also so flavorful, the chicken was juicy and it was packed with the filling. The naan had an amazing taste too, soft and chewy! I can not wait to order from here again!

I glanced at the menu, was immediately struck by the number of items I was interested in and grabbed a take out menu. Later in the week, we decided to give it try. One thing to understand is this is a fast service place...so dishes are not slowly simmered together for hours. They have proteins that are cooked, added to salads, rice or into wraps or on top of naan followed by various sauces and toppings. This give them a variety of ways to serve their dishes. They have a very diverse menu and some excellent looking sides. Ordering online was easy. Service was quick and efficient. The food itself is REALLY DELICIOUS. We had a butter chicken rice bowl, a salad bowl with chicken and chana masala as well as the daal makhani. The proteins are season the same...delicious and the "flavor" choice comes from the "sauce" some of which are actual side dishes. The daal was really really comforting and delicious. The portion sizes are pretty generous for the price. And the prices are reasonable. We were concerned there could be dairy in all the dishes so we called to be sure. I would definitely ASK ahead of time if you have any allergies or food issues. The menu didn't specify. The offer two kinds of rice, and I recommend the Pulao. They also offer some interesting wings and many sauces and chutneys. Definitely a place to go back to for both lunch and dinner.

We…read moreorder the small manto dumplings, a mixed flat samosa appetizer, and four kebab entrees to share. The dumpling dough were similar in flavor and texture to pelmeni but were flatter like ravioli. They were smothered in sauce. Samosas were thin and crispy. I preferred the manto, but both are good picks depending on what you're looking for. For kebabs, I tried the lamb, ground beef, and chicken. One of the mixed plates also came with a lamb shank. All of the meat was well seasoned and flavorful. Most pieces were juicy. I wouldn't have categorized any bites as dry, but some bites were juicier than others. The entrees were platted over basmati rice with carrots and raisins. They came with a white sauce, a green sauce, and a red sauce. Green and red sauce were mildly spicy. Also some simple salad with the entrees. They have a lot of seating indoors and seemed to be hosting a small party when I arrived for pick up.

On yelp, there were no inside pictures, so I wasn't entirely prepared. I see lots of take out, and indeed it looks like there is plenty of it as there is a take out counter and a few people were walking in/out during our meal. The entire rest of the place looked like a small wedding and party venue. I wouldn't call it sparkling clean, however. Many things were crossed out on the menu with a sharpie "X". Quail, Chicken Biryani, just to name a few. No matter, we were quite happy with two different kebabs and the distinct afgani rice. The food was overall good, I found the lamb a little sweet, but it wasn't fatty. The chicken was certainly the better meat. The fresh sauces provided on the side were tasty and helpful after the generous portion of rice started getting repetitive. I also enjoyed the full pot of black tea with cardamom. One person working alone filling orders and waiting our table meant it was one of the longest meals I've hard in a while. He was kind, and was indeed working hard.... but that didn't make up for the flies. Dear lord, the flies. The bug zapper was a constant interruption in the background of our conversation. Dead flies were scattered on the windowsill and a half alive fly squirmed by my foot. While eating, I examined every raisin as carefully as a gemologist inspects a diamond.. because you never know. My overall rating would have probably been higher if I didn't eat in. Your mileage may vary.

I was surprised they didn't have chive cakes on the menu. That's always my favorite thing to order for an appetizer and most Thai places. We ordered a mango salad. I asked for them to do it mild, but it was still too spicy for us. We got shrimp pad Thai, which was really yummy. We actually love that. We also ordered the cod in a coconut sauce. That was very delicious. The cod was a very small portion. We also got an order of Massaman beef. that was very good too. If I'm ever in this area again, I would definitely eat here.

If I lived in the area I'd be there a couple of times a month. My friends live some towns over but both said they'd return for sure. The hostess/waitress was very nice, easy to speak with, fully attentive, not obtrusive, and fully knowledgeable about the menu. Two of us had noodles, one had curry. I ordered Pad Thai asking for it to be somewhat spicy and spice was added perfectly for my taste. The curry with mock duck was very spicy. (We all enjoyed it though.) I think the spice was infused in the mock duck. Some folks may want to ask that to be mild. For desert we had the coconut ice cream and all loved it. I asked about it and learned the chef makes it. It's not often I ask to pass my compliments to the chef; this was one time I did with emphasis! We were having an early lunch. I think we were quite lucky to sit so quickly.

We had read a lot of positive reviews about Selita's on Yelp and had also seen quite a few…read moreadvertisements and specials for the restaurant on Facebook, so we decided to finally give it a try. Unfortunately, Selita's failed with the first impression. We walked past a very small bar and into the dining room, which had a musty smell. The green walls, red leather tufted seats, and mirrors on the walls gave the place a very dated, old-fashioned feel. Since it was our first time there, we decided to play it safe and just order a couple of appetizers. We had the grilled octopus and the eggplant Parmigiana. The eggplant Parmigiana was tasty, but we would not consider it an authentic Italian dish. The grilled octopus, on the other hand, was a completely different story. It was incredibly tough and chewy - honestly, it was like eating a garden hose. It really seemed as though it had been cooked ahead of time and then reheated. When we left, my wife looked at me and said, "We're never coming back here again." Unfortunately, I had to agree. That's really a shame because we genuinely wanted to like Selita's. It's close to home, and we were hoping to find a new local favorite. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I suppose that's the chance you take when trying a new restaurant. Sometimes you find a gem, and sometimes you don't. Unfortunately, Selita's was a "swing and a miss" for us.
