Fried plantains were so yummy I could've just had that for a meal, but I had to save room for our dinner. We ordered spinach and cooked vegetables because of our fear of getting sick from raw veggies. The seafood paella was okay. It only had one scallop which was disappointing since that's my favorite seafood. We had plenty left over so we packed it for another meal. Our server was a little rough around the edges but he got nicer as the meal progressed. The place was empty when we arrived hut started to fill up. Noise level never got too loud.

You come in a stranger, leave as family! Sample Boccadillo Platter good choice to start. Gets your belly ready to experience more delectable delights. Tostones are meant to me Shared. Large, pressed, disk-shaped. Comes with flavored Ajo in Pimenton sauce. Fried Shrimp dish is crunchy, succulent and colossal. Chicharrones de Pollo was plenty for two to share. The Arroz Amarillo and Frijoles Negro are stars on their own! Paella Mariana could use a little more love, as it needed more seasoning. The clams were a tad tough. Looked for the soccarat but none. Can't beat the regular or golden Sangrias. Overall, our family's been coming for 20+ years and we'll ALWAYS choose Cabana!

Fortunately, the food was delicious and service was impeccable. We ordered 4 entrées to share and enjoyed everything. My favorite was the Half-Baked Chicken. The skin was so crispy and the chicken so tender. The Braised Short Rib was also really good and the crispy Brussels sprouts that come with it were the perfect amount of crispy. The other dishes we ordered were good too. We finished everything down to the last grain of rice. The floral displays are fun and are probably the highlight of the visit. The space is clearly designed for photos, and I can see why it would be popular for birthdays, showers, or other special occasions. They seem to go the extra mile when it comes to creating a celebratory atmosphere. Service was excellent from start to finish. The staff at reception and at the table were attentive, friendly, and welcoming. Food-wise, we tried the Kung Pao calamari and wagyu meatballs after seeing other reviewers rave about them, but both felt a little gimmicky to me. Our group mostly stuck with more traditional brunch items, including breakfast burritos and omelettes, and those were fine. Overall, I would not necessarily come here just for the food, but I would recommend it for the atmosphere, service, and special-occasion vibe. It is a great spot if you want a pretty setting, good hospitality, and plenty of photo-friendly areas.

The Food The cooking…read morehere is the real thing -- not the flattened, one-note version of Indian food that so many places settle for, where everything arrives tasting vaguely of the same sauce. At Tikka n' Talk, the spicing has genuine architecture. Each dish has its own personality, its own balance, its own arc from first bite to last. You taste individual spices rather than a generic wall of heat, and there's a depth underneath that only comes from someone who actually knows what they're doing. The tikka is outstanding and lives up to the name -- properly charred at the edges, smoky from real high-heat cooking, and still tender inside. That combination is harder to pull off than it looks, and getting it right every time takes skill. The curries have body and complexity. Sauces that have clearly been built rather than assembled, with layers that reveal themselves as you eat. Nothing is greasy, nothing is heavy in the bad way, and nothing tastes like it came out of a can. The bread deserves its own mention. Fresh, blistered, warm -- the kind you keep tearing off pieces of long after you're full. The Room and the Service The name isn't accidental. This is a place designed for lingering, and the atmosphere delivers on it. Warm, comfortable, and genuinely welcoming without being fussy. It's the kind of room where conversation flows easily, where you settle in without noticing an hour has passed. The staff are a huge part of that. Warm, attentive without hovering, and clearly happy you came. They know the menu cold and will steer you well if you ask -- including on spice levels, which they'll actually calibrate to what you want rather than defaulting to whatever's easiest. That kind of care shows up everywhere in the experience. Food comes out hot, timed well, and exactly as ordered. Basic things, but plenty of places fail at them. The Bottom Line Tikka n' Talk is the rare restaurant that's excellent on every axis at once -- the cooking is skilled, the room is inviting, and the people running it obviously care. It's become a regular for us, and I recommend it without hesitation to anyone who asks where to eat. If you haven't been, go. Order more than you think you need. Stay a while -- the name is an instruction, and it's good advice. Highest possible recommendation.

I ordered the goat curry special which came with a side of dal, bread rice and a sweet kulab gaman for $17. The goat meat was tender, the curry isn't hot or spicy, the dal had a hint of spice from mustard seeds, rice was cooked and fluffy. I used the bread to sop up all the food from tray. SO delicious!! With Uber Eats costs and tips, it cost around 25$.

We were greeted with a complimentary popcorn, which was delicious! The waiter was also incredibly attentive to our table and made sure to check on us occasionally. The ambiance is dim, kind of like a bar restaurant without too much noise. It's a great spot for a date night out. We ordered 20 pieces of wings, half with soy garlic and the other half with mango habanero, tteok-Bokki (with cheese) and truffle fries. I personally do not handle spice very well, however the mango habanero was surprisingly good and not too spicy. In my opinion, I thought the tteok-bokki was spicier but not too spicy to the point where I couldn't take a second bite. Although I have been to many other Mad for Chicken chains before, this is my first time in the Forest Hills location and also my first time publishing a review for this restaurant. I would totally come back!
