I went to this clinic with the dream of many, to lose weight. But the reality is that even though I followed all the programs to the letter and left them a lot of money for buying bars, protein shakes and many other things. I haven't lost a single gram since I started the program. I got frustrated and told them nothing was working, but they told me it was my fault for not going as often. I started going more often, but it didn't work either. Then I moved house, I tried to cancel, because I felt like I was just wasting my money and they definitely DO NOT cancel you for any reason. HORRIBLE COMPANY TO WORK WITH I was Lindora's first at home client in New York. Lost a lot of weight. A few years later gained it back, signed up again and lost the weight. It was always nice team good people. I don't know what happened to them. Two years ago I ended up in the hospital, two surgeries, half of my small intestine removed. When I recovered I told the Lindora team in westwood that this is the situation. Signed a one year contract started the diet and got really sick again I notified them that I cannot be on the diet, Sent them a letter from my doctor. THEY HAVE BEEN HARASSING ME FOR A YEAR NOW. Keep in mind I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars with them. I am sick, they have the doctor's note. WHY Torture ME EVERY MONTH WITH THREATENING PHONE CALLS. Sorry to all the good staff at several locations I have visited over the years but the Lindora business model has gone downhill. For years, I have stuck by Lindora & did lose weight. But that was due to the dedicated personal attention to my specific weight loss needs. Sadly, even before the pandemic, everything that made Lindora stand out over other weight loss programs has been eroded. The more experienced staff left due to lowered salaries, sale priced items did not include the additional discount for annual membership holders & prices increased. (I suspect popular products would regularly disappear for weeks, just to create a run on those items once they would restock them.) I tried to start a weight loss program this year but had to put it on hold due to my work schedule. There was limited time for me suspend and I was told any boosters I received before restarting would be subtracted from my weight loss program weeks. That's absurd considering I was still on a monthly payment schedule. Lastly, ordering products on line became an option for anyone. This was never possible before especially if you did not by a weight loss program. I've decided I can do better losing weight without such rigid restrictions combined with poor business strategies. I used to frequent this clinic and was able to lose about 20 lbs in 2015 and kept it off for about 2 years. Then slowly fluctuated up again :( They recently changed their plan options to a commitment of one year. I preferred the old method where I had the option to pay month to month. All the nurses and staff here were very friendly and helpful. But again, I wish they'd offer the old plan options and had hours that were friendlier for those that work late. Most clinics are only open until 5 pm Monday - Friday. Also wish weekend check ins were available. It's too expensive now for something you can honestly try to do on your own - Low carb (keep under 50 carbs per day), high protein, portion control, lots of water, exercise and logging everything. The only reason I enjoyed going to this clinic was the motivation, b12 shots and accountability. read more

I did lose weight, then regain it back and more. I signed up again. I ask for a month of the diet to give it a try. The manager I signed up with at the Culver City Clinic was either fired or quit. The manager that was out on sick leave, returned and told me that I signed up for a year and they were going to take it out of my checking account monthly for a year. I explained what happened and she wouldn't help me. I contacted corporate and they won't do a darn thing either. I changed my credit card number and they found it and kept charging me. It is a money grubbing business, only there for their own profit. I am highly upset with Lindora. Stay away!!! read more

I tried to put my membership on hold during the pandemic. I realize that Lindora is a medical facility and therefore legally can stay open. However, I also felt that since losing weight was not a life or death matter for me and we were being urged to stay home for non-essential activities, I should not put myself and others at risk by coming to the clinic on a regular basis. The clinic staff were not even remotely sympathetic. All I asked was to stop charging me, and when the pandemic had gotten more under control, they could start again. I lost almost a whole year of charges for membership they knew I couldn't use because of my concern for my safety and others' safety. I find this unconscionable. My dentist, dermatologist, and gynecologist all allowed me to cancel appointments during the pandemic because they knew staying home was crucial, whereas non-emergency medical visits could be postponed. But Lindora operates like a business not a health care provider. I'm very disappointed and will not recommend this to anyone, even though I know it's a system that works. They are just too inflexible during a global pandemic, and put business before health. read more

Lindora's weight loss and weight maintenance program is a ketogenic (high-protein, low-carbohydrate) program that is easy to follow and maintain but it definitely requires commitment, dedication and perseverance for long-term success. What sets Lindora's "Lean For Life" program apart from Atkins, Keto and other similar diets is that while you do eat plenty of protein and adequate (but reduced) amounts of fat you also get to eat plenty of vegetables and some lower-carb fruits and whole grains in moderation and the maintenance phase is more flexible. I personally started at Lindora wearing a 56-inch pair of pants and am currently wearing 42-inch pants. Michelle, Candace, Crystal and the other nurses and clinic staff members are among the nicest people you could ever hope to meet and the support they offer patients is priceless. Though I only purchased the book here and did the program on my own, I have to share my love for this plan because it is a healthy and very effective way to slim down. Years ago I did pay for the program because I felt I needed the encouragement. At that time I wanted to lose 20 pounds and did. Over the last ten years, and a baby later, I felt like I needed to tune up my body again. My goal was to lose about 13-15 pounds in 6-8 weeks. As of today, I have lost 10 & 1/2 pounds in just 4 & 1/2 weeks! Just when I'd get down feeling like it wasn't "working", I'd have a good morning weigh in and get reenergized. Many of you know, losing A LOT of weight seems to be easier in the beginning. When you get down to that last 10-20 lbs, it just doesn't come off as quick. I'm a believer in EXERCISE and I've continued what I did before. Though, on protein days I take it a bit easier because I find I get hungrier on those days if I burn too much energy. Here are my honest suggestions: If you need to "cheat" don't be mad at yourself over it! I have had about 6 cheat meals and even candy and popcorn at a movie. I just KNEW that I needed to be really strict following that and I definitely wouldn't go back to the mindset of "saving up" my calories. I'd still eat other meals according to plan and protein snacks. Often the cheating wasn't planned and I would do so within moderation. For example, we went out to Panera after trick or treating and I really wanted french onion soup. So I got a cup with a chicken salad and no dressing. It was yummy and satisfied me completely. The next day I ate a sub sandwich and a few pieces of halloween candy. And the next night I ate tacos, beans and rice! I just took the tortillas off and didn't eat the chips. You have to commit to living with these healthier choices even when you aren't eating white fish, spinach and grapefruit. One last thing, FOR ME, it seems when I add in a bit more fat than the diet typically allows, it helps me. Almost every night I seem low on carbs and calories so I let myself eat a piece of LIGHT bread with a tablespoon of peanut butter on it. I have also had a 4oz lump of fresh mozzarella and worried but it seemed to kickstart me. What works for everyone individually may be different of course. I LOVE PowerCrunch Bars. They are to die for. Wafer like and feels like you're eating a treat. Highly recommend. They're a bit higher on the fat, but otherwise meet the Lindora requirements. Anyway, here are my weekly results. 10/20 Week One 146.8 (-0 lbs) 10/27 Week Two 142.4 (-4.4 lbs) 11/03 Week Three 141.6 (-5.2 lbs) 11/10 Week Four 140 (-6.8 lbs) 11/17 Week Five 138.6 (-8.2lbs) 11/20 Five & 1/2 136.4 (-10.4 lbs) After 4 weeks I started the program again. You can only do it twice back to back and then you need to do the Metabolic Adjustment Phase for at least 14 days. Be ready for HARD WORK and focus and, yes, missing things. I LOVE FOOD and I dearly miss huge pieces (plural) of apple crumb pie. I have also replaced my nightly glass of wine (or two) with an end of the day decaf cup of coffee with sugar free vanilla creamer (the powdered kind) and fiber LOL. This WORKS. I'm 37, have a 3yo daughter and have been relatively under control weight-wise most of my life. My highest weight was 150 except when I was pregnant I got to 190. Hard work and exercise pay off. Getting enough sleep has been tough for me since my daughter has never been a good sleeper. That's a whole different subject!! Do this! If you don't have the money, don't worry. Buy the book for $30 and read the entire thing before you start. I'm a huge believer in the Plateau Days menu and honestly I have been obsessive about eating white fish (I LOVE the basil pesto tilapia from costco in the frozen section) for lunch everyday with spinach, lettuce and grapefruit. It is a great satisfying meal and makes me feel good. Sugar free Jello for a night time snack is great. No carbs, ten calories. DO THIS. YOU'LL BE HAPPY YOU DID. I PROMISE. I plan to be a "Lifer" and know people who are and look amazing having kept off the weight. it doesn't mean you can never have a life again but it'll keep you in check with your weight and catching it before it becomes a problem. PS - YOU CANNOT sit on your couch and eat twinkles and expect to feel good about yourself. Get up. Walk. Workout. Whatever! I also loved the Insanity program for at-home workouts. That alone dropped 20 pounds in two months after I had my daughter in 2011. read more

Well, what can I say about this place? I don't think there are words that exist that can express my appreciation for this place. I have to admit I was really reluctant to join or any other weight loss programs. I was so blinded on how healthy I really was. After months of listening to talk radio and their radio-mercials and family & friends telling me that I needed to do something about my weight. So, I finally swallowed my pride and realized that I wasn't able to do it on my own. I agreed to them that I would go, check it out and see what all this hype was about. My whole perception on weight loss programs as an industry was that all they are looking for is your money. But, I was happily shocked to find that the people here are the most genuine and most kind hearted. This is way more than the average weight loss program. They showed me how to live a healthier life and to love myself. When I walk in the door of this place I feel like I just walked in to my own home. Everyone here is like family to me and they do express an unconditional care for me and for the rest of their patients. As far as the food here, it's NOT eating cardboard. The snack are good and good for you. They don't profit on making you buy their food like other places. You eat regular food. They are more on what food to eat and moderation. Going a long time without eating may seem like a good idea but in reality it makes you gain weight. You have to keep that metabolism moving and well fueled. I think it is very important when choosing to attempt a challenge like this, no matter what your starting point is that it starts with YOU. The people here don't have a magic wand or that magic pill that will mold you into that perfect body you so want. It's YOU! You got yourself like this situation or mess, what ever you want to call it. YOU are that magic wand! YOU are that so called magic pill. You have to really ask yourself, do you really have the BALLS!!!? It's not going to come to you on a plate. When you reach your goals and are served that plate all it's going to have is your blood, sweat, tears, fears, doubts, failures, and sights on that goal. You also have to ask yourself, what are you willing to do and what are you willing to give up to live a happier and healthier life. Remember! You only get one. It's really not the amount of years you are given, it's how you live those years. So, in saying all this. If you are physically sick of how you are and how you are living your life and you are mentally ready to take that challenge come here. You will get more than a weight loss program. You will get sincere teammates that are pushing and motivating you to climb that mountain so you can reach the top. Only giving one star because there were a few staff members that were great - shout out to Candace & Nettie - Overall Lindora DOES NOT care about you as a person - they only look at you from a revenue generation point - trust me. Their policies and practices are unyielding and do not support you as an indiviual who is looking to better themselves. Case in point - the pandemic ensues - I choose not to go into the clinic - yet being billed every month - when I call in to stop my membership - Bobby at Culver City lets me know I must come in to cancel - I do so after a couple of weeks and cancel and he insures me i will not be charged again - yet this month i get a bill for a monthly charge for 10/27 to 11/27 - why? becasue i was 2 days short of the required 21 business days to cancel - I was treated rudely by Customer Service at Corprate Miyasha - who basically said "too Bad" and offered no suggestions or kindly basic customer service to me - I asked if I could go in during the time period but she rudely answered that I would have to have a blood test...from them it takes two weeks to get an appointemnt and another week to see the Nurse - what a racquet - I hope you are so proud of your business Dr Amy Lee - way to go in supporting women read more

I have done Lindora for several years in the past and last year started another program with a new system in place where you have a choice of three different options and they take the money out monthly. It isn't less expensive but it enables people to be able to pay on a monthly basis versus a whole year. I was very sick and in April my doctor wrote a note to Lindora saying that I was ill and could not continue the program. I was not informed that they had put my account on hold. I have been battling with the Culver City Lindora and the Corporate office. The bookkeeper at the Corporate Office does not even remember who I am even though this has been going on for a couple of weeks. They say I am cancelled but that they do not indicate that I should be reimbursed. I just want to warn any of you who go to Lindora that if you sign up for a year, be sure you know what you are getting into. It is not the way I usually respond and all the reviews I put on yelp are positive except for this one. I cannot believe that these people are a company who handle a lot of money and cannot resolve an issue that should rightfully be resolved. I finally received a phone call back from the Bookkeeping Department in the Corporate Office saying that my money would be refunded in a day or two. This situation might be a one time thing and possibly won't happen to anyone interested in doing the program, but I still warn you to be very careful so that you don't end up in a similar situation. read more
