In addition to that, I have a small scar on my left eye that makes a lot of those lashes a bit unruly. When I first called Lash Therapy I was very nervous about getting my lashes done. Jared patiently answered all my questions. He said the eyelash extensions would be 'life changing', that I'd 'wake up every day feeling beautiful.' I wasn't sure about that, but decided to give them a try. I am SO glad I did. I honestly could not believe the difference they made! Jared was right, they are life changing in a way. Instead of looking in the mirror and seeing all the flaws, I can now look in the mirror and be thrilled with the way my eyes look. It brightens up my whole face and I can't help but smile. It's so great to see wake up and not feel like I have to put on makeup. Most days I just add some lipgloss and I'm ready to go. You might be hesitant like I was, but I encourage you to give it a try. When I moved to Indiana I did major research to find a lash artist that did russian volume. I am always very picky about who I chose to make me look and feel great, from hair, nails and now lashes. I did my research and the only person I felt most comfortable with and trusted was Maria. First off she's passionate about what she's doing and you can tell it makes her feel good when you feel good about her work. Second, her work speaks volumes (pun intended). Lash retention is an important factor and I had to go a bit longer than usual in between fills my first time getting it done with her, and it was GREAT. Third, in order for me to have retained my lashes for this long was also due to her educating me on how to care for them! All this aligns with someone who is going to take care of you and knows what they are doing. I used to get super long lashes and my lash girls never REALLY told me the importance of caring for them and how to do so until Maria. We discussed the best length and curl for my eyes and health of my lashes, in the end I am 10x more satisfied because she took the time to walk me through it and help me understand. Lastly, outside of being a passionate and knowledgable person about lashes, she is also a wonderful, vibrant and ambitious woman! Run fast and far, do NOT get lashes done here…read more I made an appointment and as I was on my way to the shop I got an email and text my appointment was moved to an hour later, my original appointment was 10 minutes from that point. Got there and found the owner wanted to go home so moved me to another lash technician who was with other clients. Was not happy and should have walked out then. They did a patch test while I waited, it burned and itches a little bit they said it was normal... warning sign number 2! Should have walked out. Was taken back, the girl was miserable. She talked the entire time to her coworker about her thug boyfriend, his horrible mother and how much she hated his family. Talked about all kinds of drama with other people and then trading services with this girl when we (the customers) were FINALLY GONE. They spoke like we weren't there. My technician disappeared twice for more than 10 minutes once to eat and again without warning leaving me there with my eyes taped and instructions not to open my eyes. Other technician lashed 2 people and was without a customer long before I was done. By this point I know I had made a mistake. Finally I was done and looked in the mirror, my eyes were bright red and I looked like Lamby. Asked for natural lashes, came out looking like a puppet. She told me the red was normal and would subside. I hated how it looked but I couldn't bare to stay there longer to have them removed. Another mistake! The redness, itching and watering continued to get worse, lashes fell off like crazy. I now looked like a cracked out beauty queen after a long night. I waited 2 days then went to the Dr, she put me on pinkeye medication and said they needed to come off. I called the studio several times and left a message. I then decide just to go there and beg them to remove the lashes. Although the advertised hours on voicemail is 9-7 Monday - Wednesday and they welcome walkins and the sign says open, no one was there. I Was there at 10 and again at 12. Terrible business practice. Did not get a call back for days! Went to another studio in Carmel to have them removed and was instructed at how bad the glue was, how the job was a quick lash and done terribly. The lashes were right on my eyelid and attributed to the horrible reaction I had. They did eventually call back days later but I had nothing good to say to them so decided to let it go to voicemail.
